border by meIt started off with a bright light. A light that blinded and burned me until the medicine slowly came over me in a wave of sweet bliss. My eyes fluttered to stay awake, wanting to know what was to happen. I wanted to see everything they were doing but soft whispers rang in my ear, pulling me to the darkness. It was cold at first. Lonely. I shouted a few hellos into the abyss and received nothing in return. It was a confusing state of mind and I felt like i was floating through limbo. This place was pleasant. There was no pain here and no bright light to blind me.
Then, a sudden thought came to me. One that I personally thought was a bright one for my age. I searched the pockets of my pants and dug out the small Swiss army knife that had a built in flashlight. My father always told me to never go anywhere without it and I didn't plan on leaving it at home, even at this time. Holding down the little button on the top, I pointed the dim LED light around me. It went only as far as three feet in front but that was enough to shine against the ground.
Leaves? What were leaves doing in this darkness? I squinted at the ground, quickly shifting the light to my right. A tree? Where was I? I frowned at the dark tree as the light traced up to the bare branches. Humph. Why was it so cold and dark? I didn't understand. With a childish shrug I brought light back to the dirt path, walking along as my tail dragged through the mud.
After what felt like hours I came to a clearing. Tall grass that shined blue in the shadows flowed like smooth waves in a dark ocean. A familiar scent another Plumie washed over me and I jumped to see above the grass. A pair of glowing ears poked out and with a big smile I blindly raced through the grass towards it. The only thing to light my way was the soft glowing light up ahead. Once there I could do nothing but stop in my tracks.
"Mother..?"
The glowing figure slowly turned towards me, flashing a smile before dipping its head. "Yes, my dear. It is me."[ it was a quick encounter but those words echoed out and rang in my ears. It was as if everything around me, the swishing grass, the falling dead leaves and even the gentle wind had frozen in time. She turned away from me once again and as the grass parted for her entrance she started to walk away. He tail curled in happiness and her smiled never wavered.
My breath caught in my throat but I managed to scream a no and started to race after her. My little Swiss army knife fell to the ground behind me, flicking on and off as I raced away. She was always almost in my grasp everytime i attempted to reach out for her and every time she slipped away. After a few tries she faded away and I triped in the dark against something hard.
With a weeping gasp I looked up to see a bright light. As an attempt to escape this dark place I walked towards it.
That's when the blinding light appeared. I awoke in a cold and white room with a bright light above me. "Where..where am I?" I whispered to no one inparticular. Looking over to see my father sitting there i flashed a tired smile. "Well hello there little one." He whispered back. "I hope you're not in pain." I shook my head no and felt my abdominal area. It was stitched over and I have a sigh. The hurting spot of my body was gone and I was glad that the doctors could take it out in time. They had said it was my appendix but whatever it really was, I was glad it was gone.

{ "Suddenly, a large clawed shaggy-furred dark grey paw slammed on top of the rickety metal fence, the clatter of claws on rusted metal drowning out the cricket's last chirp. Like it's assassin, the cricket would never again see daylight. At least, it wouldn't do so with a beating heart. "Whoo, who?" A small Barn Owl fledgling swooped down and landed on one of the few trees of the city's sprawling sidewalks and streets. A tall looming figure stood over it's full moon face and growled with a hoarse voice, "Just me, little owl, just me. You've got three seconds to live, starting now." The menace in zher eyes as zhe grabbed a freshly sharpened blade from the holster at zher side scared the wits into the naive hatchling, causing it to take flight and vanish into the night. With it, the plumerian melted into the shadows and took off into the city with it." }
{ "Meanwhile, a short tabby-cat pelted plumerian slowly walked home. Xiamen, whom had labored very late into the night, was exhausted from working so hard. Her salary barely put food on the table, and she was extremely lucky to even have a home at the moment. The shrill sound of claws on concrete split the air. She noticed her hands shaking a little bit, despite her usually being a brave and courageous young adult. "Hello? Is there someone following me? I should warn you, I have *bleeping* pepper spray and I'm certainly not afraid to use it!", she asked with an almost unnoticeable, but still there quaver in her strong voice. In one hand, she held the small spray bottle with a finger on the lid. Piercing blue eyes flashed from the shadows. The beast that followed her was a clearly emaciated male plumerian of her age, snarling like the savage it was. As soon as she met the eyes of the beast, it leaped out at her." }
{ "Xiamen ran for half a mile, the plumerian in hot pursuit of it's next victim. Though it was more fit than her, she noticed it had a major weakness ; it was limping very badly. It puzzled her as to why he didn't even have a splint on his leg. Rounding a corner, she heard a loud thump as he tripped over the employee's handbook that she had dropped and landed with a thud on the sidewalk. With a quick spray of pepper spray to the eyes, he slumped to the ground with tears in his eyes. In that weak, helpless state however, Xiamen actually had mercy on him. Although her energy and strength were dragging after a long day working, she carried him back to her tiny little apartment in the outskirts of the city." }
{ "Zher eyes slowly opened, zher mind whirring. Zhe had no idea how long zhe was unconcious for. And yet, zhe felt that zher heart was still beating. Pain coursed through zher long limbs as zhe hauled zherself upright. However, there was one spot on zher body where zhe didn't feel more than something cold resting against it. Someone had placed an ice pack over the spot where zhe had sprained zher leg just days ago. The stranger walked up, somewhat warily but awfully confident for someone who got attacked by zher before. "Ah, you finally *bleeping* woke up. You okay, kawaii killer?", she inquired, probably irritated that she was attacked. Or it could be that she got a feather torn out of the side of her face last night. Caught in zher limp claws was one of her bright green feathers. Zhe weakly grunted, "My name's not Kawaii Killer." Xiamen laughed at the mysterious plumerian. "Then what is your name, sir?", she interrogated. Zhe growled, "The name's Vladimir, and I do not have a gender. I advise not calling me sir ever again in your lifetime. If your not attempting to kill yourself that is. If you are, go right ahead." " }
{ "Though zhe still didn't completely trust the plumerian that pepper sprayed zher in the eyes, she miraculously was able to earn enough income to support both herself and Vladimir. Maybe, just maybe, zhe finally had a friend?" }

This is background music for my form. Sorry, I wasn't sure if it was allowed if it's not, I understand. It doesn't have to be played. The tone of the music just makes me think of the eeriness of this plumie.

Story about this plumie: (impress me in 500-700 words)
It was a cool October day. A light breeze played across my fur, and my feathers danced. Suddenly, my ears filled with a slight buzz, which slowly transitioned into almost silent whispers. I pulled my hat down over my shaded eyes and pushed through the brush. I had a destination. I didn’t know where it was, but the boss told me that it would come to me. But, they were constant, getting louder, and speeding up. I couldn’t take it. I shook my head, but it wouldn’t stop, so I listened. I followed where they told me to go. It didn’t take much time, but the sky was getting very dark, and there was an ever-thickening fog. I arrived at a secluded portion of the forest. There was lush, thick brush. It didn’t look like the greenery covering the rest of the forest though. This stuff seemed more, dark, dead. Well, not dead, but the darkness seemed to add this ominous feel to the plants. They were more like… silhouettes. I trudge through. At first… there is no one. Then, a dark silhouette appears. A pair of piercing bright blue eyes, cold as fire, turned towards me. A multitude of scattered spots the same color blue as the eyes light up. They do not do much to the room’s lighting except add a few more dark shadows. “Ohhhh, I’m sssssorry.” says a dark, trickling voice. Everything about this plumerian, who seemed more monster than plumie, seemed sinister and strange. “Can you not see in this lighting?” I am accustomed to this darkness you seeeeee. Or then again, maaaaaaybe not.” He lets out a short, deep, airy chuckle. Shivers run up my spine. “I knew you would be coming,” he says. I do not respond to that at all, instead, all that I could focus on was those eyes. They seemed to penetrate my very soul. I could feel myself being sucked in. “I see you’ve discovered the hypnotism that is meeeee,” says the creature. His voice and his eyes were drawing me in. He had a sort of cunning air to himself. That short chuckle, the long strides, the way he seemed to appear out of nowhere, only to vanish and reappear suddenly in a totally different direction. I start to move my paws slowly back. Nothing about this place seems safe. This creature can’t possibly be the plumie… no… the thing the boss sent me to look for. “Where do you think you’re going so soon? Don’t you know it’s rude to leave without thanking your host???” the voice says, as if right... in my ear. But... that was impossible! He was just pacing… in front of me. I turn around, and he disappears again. “I’m quite tricky, aren’t I?” the smooth voice chuckles once again. “Who… who are you?” I say in a loud, quivering voice. “Oh, scared of me, are you?” says the creature, and I feel his hot breath on the back of my neck. “Who are you?” I manage to stutter. “What are you???” “Erebos,” he simply states. I remain silent. “Yes, Erebos. Master of dark, and light. Manipulator of matter, and emptiness,” he states. Appearing and disappearing to accommodate to my constant search of the seemingly-neverending room for him. He always seemed to be right behind me. I turned tail and sprinted away out of sheer fear, but the darkness followed. I was stuck in his den of despair. The lush, almost overpowering, green forest I had come from was gone. There was nothing but the dark brush and the pitch darkness. The only sign of light, somehow, was the dark shadows surrounding me, every way I turned. “Trying to run, are yoouuu?” “Haven’t you yet learned that you cannot escape your own demons?”...

steady rise of smoke rose into the air, the pitch black of night broken by the crackles and bright life of hungry flames as they lapped at the forest around them. Terrified animal screams and groans could be heard as smoke covered their vision, choking them as it flew into their lungs and the familiar musky taste flooded their mouths.
Though at this time, one animal had been left behind as it laid still. It would have been thought of as dead, if it weren't for the shallow breaths rising from it's matted and soot laden fur. The fire had not awaken it yet, and now it laid under the cover of holly bushes as the fire and smoke drifted around them. Only until the smoke so densely covered the forest floor around them, did they awake from their slumber. The Plumerian was a dazzling snow white, with light blue dots that seemed to glow in the dark to purify their pelt.
As they ran, they made no noises or sound as they gracefully moved through the forest, for if they panicked they would get carried away. As they made their way swiftly through the thick forest, a clearing was up ahead where the fire could not spread; with joy they sped up, a sudden thought coming to mind, that's it! There's the clearing!
Joy turned to sudden horror as the flames started to lap hungrily at the untouched patch of green, and the Plumerian suddenly let out the first noise they had made that enter day; a hollow screech as the fire enveloped them in a circular pit of fire as the clearing was swallowed from sight. "No!" They yelled, tears streaking from their burning, puffy eyes as they frantically pivoted, searching for an exit. As the flames came closer, they closed their eyes for the last time as they felt the burning fire close in.
The forest could no longer be called a forest; the trees were now tall, black shadows that loomed precariously above a blackened and soot laden undergrowth beneath them. In the middle of it all laid a single, unmoving body. Though it was not dead at all; shallow breaths came from them as a tingling sensation took over, and they slowly peeled open their eyes to the first rays of sun.
The pain was unbearable. They let out another screech, the light blinding them for a second as they slammed them shut. Trying once more, this time they could open them half way as they looked upwards. What laid there shocked them; the soul of another Plumerian stood in front of them- they appeared to have been from long ago. Taking in a deep breath, it burned slightly as they exhaled. What happened? Shouldn't they have been dead? The fire would've killed them, surely? Though at that moment, they looked into the soul's eyes curiously, and immediately knew what they were trying to say. The soul could not speak, but they knew they were saying they had given them a second chance.
But why? Why them? Why would the spirits from above give them a second chance, when the fire should've wiped them off the face of the earth? The spirit rose a paw forward, shaking slightly as it gestured to the clean fresh spring water in front of them.
Standing up, their legs wobbled and teetered, causing them to collapse like a newborn calf trying to walk in their first few moments of life. Trying again, they stumbled forwards, looking into the pool of water. What stared back shocked them to the core. Instead of the graceful white and blue Plumerian, with the bright golden eyes, laid before them a Plumerian as black as night, with soft baby bee eyes. Though the one characteristic that was still there, was the blue circular markings on their fur that seemed to glow in the night. As the spirit faded, they cranked their head to look at them,
"Thank you," they breathed, eyes shining as the spirit faded.
