I have a question. Do comics and animation count as art? And do signatures/dates on art count as words? XD

Um, I'll count a comic as 1 piece and an animation as 1 piece. Also, the family art piece is included in the 5 art piece limit. Signatures, little titles and dates do not count. (Honestly, we won't be too strict on the words rule. Just try to keep the main body of it below 1000 words.)

Jayden is a boy with a love for anything that has to do with outer space; being a fanatic about it since he was quite young, you can't go anywhere without him wanting something as such as a new telescope, decor, toys, you name it.

When around others, Jayden is a child with great manners, politeness, and attitude. Though when alone, his full personality comes out; a boy who dances to music [which he could never do in front of his family], and makes fun out of whatever he can find. In reality, Jayden is quite a loud Plumerian! Though this boy is 13, he still seems to act like any younger child; always turning things into fun when it would normally be a serious moment.

At school, Jayden is fairly popular; the 'class clown' as you could say, always making others laugh, and usually ending up in trouble for it. When it's lunch break and morning break, you'll often see a large group of children around Jayden, though many times it seems to be made up of boys. Because no one knows he's gay, he often hides any information about it, and is often pretending to act like he only thinks of his friends in a civil matter, when most of the time, they're often his biggest crushes.

When out shopping, Jayden often tries to hide it but he absolutely adores shopping for clothing items; his most favourite thing to wear being beanies and scarves. And even though some disapprove, Jayden absolutely adores piercings; hence his nose and ear piercings.

Overall, you could say Jayden is much like any other young teen; always seeking fun, but usually ending in trouble for it. Polite, calm, and gentle however, and always seeming to want just one more little laugh that day. [300 words]

Jayden would have to admit his mother happens to slightly intimidate him; with the way she's constantly loud, does seem to get on his nerves more then it should; though it's obvious he still absolutely loves his mother. He does love playing games with her, but tends to prefer others.

Jayden absolutely loves his big ol' father! Usually found hanging around him when he isn't with friends, he loves to talk quietly to his father and fool around with him. He finds his calm demeanor soothing, which is an excellent way to get Jayden calmed down when he is upset.

Now let's get this straight; Jayden thinks his little sister is the devil. It seems he's caught on that there's got to be something underneath that perfect little smile and attitude; unfortunately, he's to scared to try and figure out what. Let's just say, they don't get along very well.

Yes, Athena. That is what he named his owl; but at the time he had achieved and gained his new feathered friend, he was simply a mere young child. Despite this however, their relationship has never faulted a tad bit, and he can often be seen talking to her nightly.

Sparks leaped into the night sky, laughter filling the air as a family roasted marshmallows over the small campfire that laid in front of them. The moon shone overhead brightly, casting a glow on the figures that were below.
"Mother," one of the Plumerians said, looking up at the female beside him.
"Yes, Jayden?" She replied, her tail wrapping around her neatly.
"Do you ever wonder what it feels like to fly? What would happen if a bird had no wings?" He asked, watching the shadows of the owls that sat in the high treetops.
"Why.. I'm not sure. Surely it feels amazing. Soaring through the clouds.." Firecracker murmured, eyes glowing as her mind drifted into thoughts.
"A bird with no wings would die," said Cole calmly, eyes staring into the fire thoughtfully. "Or maybe it would survive with someone's help," he said quietly, shifting his eyes to Jayden again.
"I would look after it," Jayden said happily, settling back into the log. "I'd name it Athena."



Little did Jayden know he would get his wish; for a month later, the screeching of a bird in distress filled the air as Jayden rushed to the top of the complex, quickly followed by Firecracker and Cole. As they reached the op, a small, plump brown mass laid sprawled out on the middle of the roof. It's wings crumpled, it stared intently at the three helplessly.
"Oh mother, father!" Jayden, rushing to pick up the small owl. "We have to take her to the vet! She'll die!" He said, gently scooping her up.

When they brought her inside, before they took her to the vet, Jayden thought momentarily; before speaking out thoughtfully.
"She's going to be called Athena," he declared, eyes shining.
"And Athena she'll be called. That's a brilliant name." [300 words]

In the ever nearing future, Jayden will become more quiet, shy, and reserved. In high school, he'll continue to gain great grades all throughout the years there, though he will still choose to be closeted and shy from telling others he is gay. At home, he grows closer with his sister as he matures, but more distant from his parents as he begins to worry about school, grades, and love interests. Because of this, he begins to go down the wrong path with skipping classes, then school, and getting in to trouble; but he will quickly stop himself before anything horrible happens. He will become more timid around others after this, but will still have his adventurous and childish side of him.

He will eventually attend a university in England where he'll study to become an Astronomer, and he'll stay closeted until he meets the one person who he trusts with his heart. When he graduates from university at the age of 25, he'll move back to North America where he will once and for all settle down in Ontario. He will have a wealthy life, and will love his job; for he will always be a child at heart. [200 words]
