Viper's parents were expecting a boy, but got a huge surprise when she was born. They didn't want to give up the name, so "Viper" stuck.
Personality;
Viper's personality is as complex as her outward appearance. Despite being painfully shy, she is extremely friendly. She tends to keep to herself, but once she is comfortable with someone, she is the loudest, most obnoxious kia anyone could meet. She has a dry sense of humor; but no matter what the situation is, she can always make someone laugh. She can be super bubbly, especially when she's with friends, or around animals. When she's around animals, she forgets all about being shy, and willingly talks to whoever else is in the room. If someone is lucky enough to be friends with her, she will be the most loyal friend anyone could ask for. However, if someone gets on her bad side, she will feign sincerity and be cordial to them, but she will stick her tongue out at them every time they turn their back. But, every light casts a shadow. Viper's shadow is that she has a few medical and mental illnesses. She has severe depression and anxiety, due to a disease that messes with her serotonin levels (that's the hormone that makes one happy). When going out in public, she often gets panicky, which sometimes lead to full-blown anxiety attacks. She has to remove herself from the situation in order to calm down, but once she feels that way, she tends to go home and curl up in bed. When she was a young kia, the physical disease almost killed her. When she recovered, she vowed to live life to the fullest. She cut her long, flowing mane into a "rockin' 'hawk" (as she puts it). When other kias look at her disdainfully, she just holds her head up high and ignores them. But when she gets home, she breaks down and cries, because underneath her quirky exterior, she is extremely sensitive and takes everything to heart.
