From the English and Scottish surname 'de Lindsay', thought to have been derived from the Roman name for the town of Lincoln, 'Lindum Colonia', to mean 'from the island of the Linden trees.'
I chose this name because her design, in addition to obviously making me think of a sunset, also remind me of fireworks, and when I was little I used to go to fireworks displays with my cousin, Lindsey. I've wanted to name a Kia after her for a long time!

Zirconium dioxide, called 'Cubic Zirconia', is a synthetic gemstone known as 'simulant diamond'. The gemstones in cheap jewellery? Probably this. Lindsey adores these as proof that zirconium can be both beautiful and functional. The fact it matches her markings? Well, that's nice too.

Why is that element special to this Kiamara:
It's actually had to say what his favorite thing about Mercury is, because it's just an interesting element in it's entirety. One thing he likes, and this is a bit childish but so is his personality, is the actual appearance of Mercury even if it is a liquid. Another thing he likes is that it is named after a Roman god- Mer happens to have a thing for Roman mythology, oddly enough. Lastly, he likes the fact that Mercury and all of its compounds are highly poisonous. There's actually no reason that Mer can come up with for an explanation.

Sol loves working in the science lab! His favourite experiment is blowing air through a tube and creating calcium carbonate water. The carbon dioxide from his mouth reacts with the limewater to make calcium carbonate!
