- A Note Before We Begin
Before we get started here I want you to get to know me a little. I'm Segie, an active CS user, and an active member of the JBD Fanclub. I spend a lot of my time on the chat there, roleplaying with my beans and chatting with the community. I currently own 4 beans; Monte, Coby, Aberdeen and Riot. All of them have well developed personalities, even though they are still changing as they develop and experience different things as characters. I have known of the concept that I wanted to use for my 5th slot for quite awhile, I have just been waiting for the right bean to come along. Its been a difficult wait, because I think this particular concept would be a lot of fun to roleplay, but I wanted to use it on the right bean. I was very anxious to see the 700th bean, I had high hopes for it, and this bean is beyond what I was hoping for. If I was lucky enough to win this bean he would be actively roleplayed on the JBD fanclub, all of my beans are. My goal in this form is not only to develop a character that I would love and spoil, but is also to get you to fall in love with this character. So here is my attempt, I hope you enjoy! ^^

Name :: Jerome
A masculine name pronounced jə-ROM

He often requests that he is referred to as Jerome-san, the "san" meaning the same as "Mr. or Ms." in Japenese honorifics.

✘ Bold ✘ Stubborn ✘ Opinionated ✘ Powerful ✘ Wise ✘ Wealthy ✘ Conceited ✘ Vain ✘ Brutal ✘ Old Fashioned
- Some consider Jerome a serious and boring bean, but there is really a lot to him. It seems like he is a few decades behind most beans, and is not technologically advanced at all. He lives in a very large house, a mansion perhaps, and the only piece of more recent technology is an older antenna television that he doesn't even know how to operate. He spends most of his time reading literature of all sorts, from the newspaper to the classics. This has always been his main source of entertainment, and he has gained a lot of knowledge from it. Jerome is quite young at the age of 25, and has a lot of his life ahead of him. He is often mistaken for an older bean due to the way he talks and his wisdom. He is a very smart bean, but his knowledge is a bit random, he seems to know a lot about strange topics.
Jerome can be a bit arrogant, and believes that he is above most other beans. He is wealthy, smart, and finds himself to be quite the handsome devil. He often acts like royalty, and expects other beans to do as he says. This actually tends to work, Jerome looks intimidating. But Jerome knows his place, and if there is a bean he should respect, he realizes it quickly and does so. He is very bold and fears nothing, especially voicing his own opinion. He is very reasonable and fair when it comes to an argument and almost always wins. If he fails to win he can make the bean believe he did, he has a way with words. Jerome speaks fluent Japanese and English. He has a slight Japanese accent from growing up in Japan. His English is very proper, he rarely catches on to slang terms and doesn't use them. He is also trying to learn other languages, at the moment he is focusing on German.
Jerome does not react well when he is upset. His feelings are not hurt easily, and usually replies with a clever comeback if he is insulted. But if a bean manages to get to him he tends to be brutal. He is a big and scary bean, who it probably capable of many things. He would never actually do seriously hurt to a bean, but he acts like he would. He leaves empty threats, often containing disturbing descriptions. He cannot stand when beans make fun of his appearance. His doesn't show that he is hurt, but it frustrates him to no end. He looks a lot different than normal beans, and its something he takes pride in. He is unique, and quite handsome in his own mind and most others. He doesn't care to talk to younger beans, they are often scared or confused by his appearance, making Jerome feel uncomfortable.
Romance is not Jerome's thing. He simply does not know how to flirt with another bean. If he has feelings for somebody else he struggles to show them. Jerome is bisexual, but isn't all that interested in relationships. He is very independent and doesn't mind living alone. Whenever he gets lonely he simply cares for his plants or reads, and that seems to make him feel better. If he was to crush on another bean he would be very picky, since he is quite judgmental. He doesn't care about looks all that much, even though he doesn't mind them. He likes beans with strong, determined personalities with similar senses of humor to him. He also likes intelligence, so brains are superior to looks in his mind.
Jerome has a passion for plants. His mother was obsessed with them, and his house was always full of them when he was a child. He now cares for a small greenhouse in his backyard, the serves as a nursery and place to hold his collection. Jerome raises common gardening plants and sells them. He also collects rare plants. If Jerome isn't reading than he is caring for these plants. They all have names, and if nobody else is around he will talk to them. He knows its a bit weird, but he read that it was good for the plants. Jerome also cares for plants found in city landscaping, because most of them don't get the attention he deserves. He is sometimes mistaken for a gardener or landscaper, but in reality he is just a bean trying to help the town look prettier.

- Quirks
Jerome never really smiles. If he is amused by something he will, but it will look more like he is baring his teeth at you. His laugh always sounds unamused, since his voice is very deep. Basically most beans can't get any satisfaction out of humoring him, because they can't tell if he finds it funny or not. He is almost constantly messing with his feathers, straightening them out and cleaning them. Its not easy keeping a head full of feathers looking straight. He often pulls out a small mirror to make sure he is satisfied with his looks. Jerome is always very clean and organized, and gets highly annoyed by clutter. He often finds himself organizing things in stores and other bean's homes, its a strange habit of his. He also hates when plants are poorly cared for, and he feels the need to tend to the plants in the park and sometimes even in other bean's yards.

- Hobbies
Jerome's main hobby is caring for and collecting plants in his greenhouse/plant nursery. He has a strange obsession with plants. The green house goes into his backyard but is accessible from inside the house. It is quite large and full of a vast collection of plants. He spends most of his day caring for his plants, it truly is his passion. It's strange, because Jerome absolutely hates getting dirty. Most of his plants are potted, and if they grow out of their pots he sells them. This is where he gets almost all of his food, because he doesn't like store bought fruits and vegetables or food from most restaurants. He lives alone, so his greenhouse provides him with more food than he needs, so he also sells to a farmers market. He also reads everything he can get his hands on, he loves to read.

- Occupation
Jerome does not currently have a real job. He is self employed, and makes a small amount of money from selling plants out of his nursery. He doesn't need the money, he inherited his wealth from his grandparents. Running the nursery serves more as a hobby than an occupation. Jerome has been to law school, he planned to be a lawyer when he was young because it was something that interested him. He finished the school but never need the job, he simply didn't need it to support himself.

- Backstory
Jerome was born in a small town in Japan. He lived there in a large house with his parents. His father was a bean who originated from America, and his mother was from Japan. This is how Jerome has such an American name. His parents were very strict and formal, so Jerome didn't get out much as a child. He focused on studying, and decided he wanted to go into law school to become a lawyer. His mother owned a large green house much like what he owns now, so this is where his hobby came from. He always wanted to visit the Americas, because half of his bloodline was there. His father suggested moving there and getting him into a good school. Jerome did this, and moved away from Japan a few months after his 18th birthday. It only took a few months for Jerome to decided to live there. Then he received a large amount of money from his grandparents, so he graduated from school and never got a job. He doesn't need to work, his wealth could easily support him for the rest of his life.

- Dinosaur Like Qualities
Since this bean is based off of the mighty velociraptor, I wanted to incorporate some dinosaur like qualities into his character. Jerome doesn't use many technologically advanced items, he doesn't know how to operate them and his fingers usually are too big for the buttons anyways. He would rather research something in an encyclopedia than online. He requires a lot of food, and loves to burn it with his flame before practically inhaling it. Jerome can't stand losing, whether is a game of scrabble or an argument, and gets very competitive, as I imagine a velociraptor would have to be to survive.

- Anthro/Human Clothing:
Jerome is quite the sharp dresser, even when he is gardening. He only wears suits during the day. He usually wears a dark red color, because he finds it flattering. He owns many other colors, and the suit he chooses generally depends on his mood. His suits are styled to look vintage and older, because most of them are. He sometimes has a golden pocket watch handing from his pocket by a chain, but its usually tucked into his pocket. He always had a rose from his garden in his suit coat pocket, the color of it depending on what he is wearing. He also wears the same necklace that you will see in his feral accessories. His sleepwear includes a luscious robe and silk pajamas.
- Feral Accessories:
Jerome only wears one items in feral form, a dragon claw necklace. His mother gave it to him when he was little, it was something that has been passed down in the family for centuries. He wears it every single day, and sometimes doesn't take it off for days straight. He also keeps his watch in his pouch like in his anthro form, but it doesn't show.

- In the Pouch
Jerome keeps his pouch clean and fairly empty, he only keeps what he needs in there.
Hand Sanitizer: He can't stand the feeling of dirty hands, and often uses this after shaking hands of other beans or just after touching things in general.
Pocket Watch: Jerome always carries a gold pocket watch with him, because he likes to be aware of the time. He tends to go to wake up and go to bed early, and has a schedule he goes by everybody day.
Book: He always brings whatever book he is currently reading with him where ever he goes. You never know when you may get bored or feel the need to continue your book.
Pen and Paper: Jerome keep these two small items just in case, sometimes you want or need to write something down.

- Relationships
Monte: Owned by me
"Ah, the orange snake-looking fellow. He is alright, but the way he lets his kids roam around is not"
Jerome doesn't mind Monte himself, but he does not appreciate the way he disciplines his kids. Monte tends to laugh along with his kids and their mischievous habits rather than scolding them, and Jerome does not appreciate this. He isn't very good with kids, and Monte's three little trouble makers are obsessed with him.
Coby: Owned by me
"This little rascal will not leave me be, and I do my best to avoid him where I can."
Coby, a twin and an older brother, has a strange obsession with Jerome. He is amazed by the way he looks, and has convinced himself that Jerome is a one of a kind pokemon that he must capture. He often randomly throws plush pokeballs at him, and gets his siblings to challenge Jerome to a "battle." Jerome is not amused by this activity, and often scolds the children for doing such a thing since Monte does not.
Aberdeen: Owned by me
"Aberdeen has so much potential that goes to waste, she could be quite the young lady if she tried."
Jerome enjoys Aberdeen's company, but Aberdeen doesn't feel the same. He tends to lecture her about how she should act, and Aberdeen isn't the kind to like being told what to do. He tells her that she should act and dress like a lady, and shouldn't curse as much as she does. He enjoys to give lectures, and Aberdeen lets him, so he likes talking to her. Aberdeen does her best to avoid Jerome.
Riot: Owned by me
"Riot, his name sure suits him. I am not a fan of this delinquent, and I have my reasons."
Riot and Jerome do not get along at all. They both have very stubborn and opinionated personalities. Their opinions crash, and it seems like their bickering never stops. Just looking at Riot frustrates Jerome, he truly cannot stand him. Riot is also very immature, which is a trait that Jerome can't stand in older beans.
Vincent: Owned by Trollish
"Vincent is like a brother to me, somebody I really trust, but also have to put up with."
Jerome and Vincent are good friends. They have very different personalities, Vincent being very goofy and Jerome always being serious. He sees Vincent as somebody he has to deal with and be friendly to, and he doesn't mind him much because he is secretly attached to him. He finds many of the things he says and does amusing, but Jerome isn't very good at showing amusement, so not many beans notice.
Hatter: Owned by Vintage.
"Hatter is a good friend of mine, I quite enjoy his company."
Jerome and Hatter have been friends ever since Jerome moved into town. Hatter was the first person he met, since they live in the same neighborhood. They often join each other for tea and conversation.
Feta: Owned by A u t u m n F r o s t.
"Feta is an insane pyromaniac who enjoys the murder of plants. I obviously cannot get along with her."
Feta has never actually done anything to Jerome, but he fears her more than any other bean. If she starts playing with fire in his yard it could ruin his entire business. He tries to avoid her, and if he can't he acts very jumpy around her which is strange for him. Jerome cares about the well being of all plants, not just his own, so he sees her as a danger.
Yumemi: Owned by Ravendaurus
"I have known Yumemi for a long time, we are very close."
Jerome met Yumemi while growing up in Japan. They attended the same school, and shared a couple of classes with each other. He was very surprised to cross passes with her here in JBD chat land. She often refers to him as Jero, which is what he went by when he was younger. Jerome can't stand it, but he tries to put up with it because he cares about Yumemi, she is important to him.
Fogo: Owned by labradoodle.:
"Fogo is an admirable bean, he is very tolerant and a good father."
Jerome often sees Fogo and his family around town. He secretly admires Fogo's patience when it comes to kids, Jerome himself cannot stand the little buggers but would like to be able to. Fogo's children are well behaved and listen well, unlike most kids he has came across. He holds a conversation well and is enjoyable to spend time with, so Jerome quite likes Fogo.
Vodka: Owned by Jern.
"Vodka is an intimate companion of mine, we often get together for drinks."
Vodka and Jerome are drinking buddies, to put it in simple terms. They often get together to have wine and discuss poetry. They also have discussions/debates over flower arrangements. They are alike in many ways, they are both grumpy beans with certain cleaning expectations. They get along very well.

- Poor table manors: Dining is something that is very important to Jerome. He always eats with utensils, a napkin on his lap, and his elbows off the table. The sound of other's chewing grosses him out and he is always sure to chew with his mouth closed. He can't stand when beans do not use manors and is not afraid to call them out on it.
- Loud Music: Jerome believes that music exists to soothe his nerves and calm him down when he needs to be. If he is listening to music it is quietly playing from the radio, not blasting in his ears from headphones or a car stereo. Constant loud music makes him uncomfortable.
- Poorly Cared for Plants: This has pretty much been explained, Jerome just doesn't like to see plants that aren't well tended to. Don't be surprised if you find him watering your lawn.
- Dressing Casual: Jerome is always seen in fancy attire, even his pajamas are expensive and luxurious. He mother always told him to dress like he was going to meet the love of his life that day. This made him dress nice as a child, and he simply never stopped, even though that's no longer the reason behind it. He doesn't mind other beans dressing casual, he only sets the expectation for himself.

- Roleplay Situations:
So basically I am putting Jerome in a situations and roleplaying out how he would act in a short story. ^^
Jerome entered his Greenhouse to find Vincent napping in one of his flower pots.
It was a normal morning for Jerome, up until a certain point. He woke up, enjoyed a cup of tea while reading the daily news, and dressed himself in his classic formal attire. He had then went to water his plants. The greenhouse was warm, and the usual faint sound of music came from the radio. Jerome whistles along cheerily, tending to his plants with a watering can. Atticus, the small house finch that lived in the greenhouse, was pecking at the ground only a few feet away. "Good morning, Atticus." Jerome said, staring at the little bird. He poured water on the plants without looking, he did this every morning and knew where everything was. Another voice suddenly echoed through the room. "Ahh! Much cold, very wet, doge is awake!" Vincent shrieked. "Ahhh!" Jerome yelled, startled by Vincent. It took him a minute to get his bearings. "Vincent, you scared the living daylights out of me! What on earth are you doing here?" He asked, holding a hand against his heart. "So plant, much photosynthesis, very flower- Doge came to see you of course!" Vincent wagged his tail happily, the cow sized shibe looking rather out of place and awkward sitting inside the over sized pot. "I came in to surprise you- but I guess I fell asleep in this pot here!" He beamed as if it was somehow incredibly funny. Jerome let out a sigh, removing his hand from his heart and checking the time on his pocket watch. "12 o'clock and you are fast asleep, wasting the day away." He said. He stared at Vincent for a few seconds before asking, "How did you fit in there, anyway?" He tucked the watch back into his pocket, patting it lightly. "I have my ways." Vincent gave a devious glance, a spark of mischief Jerome had yet to see in him hinting his features. "I didn't mean to fall asleep- it just kind of happens to me." He shrugged nonchalantly. "Isn't that how it works for every bean?" Jerome raised a brow at Vincent's expression, the corner of his mouth twitching as if he was about to smile. "Only for you, lad, its almost as if you are narcoleptic. I am well rested, I surely don't fall asleep randomly." He said. "Well I know I'm that- nar-co-lep-tick?" Vince sounded out the word, not quite sure what it meant, though he had heard it from others before. "I don't really know what it means- I just thought it didn't do anything except show up on medical records." He looked at Jerome, head cocked a bit to one side. "I don't like big words- English is hard sometimes. Such scare, many intimidate, wow." Jerome's ear flicked as he tilted his head. "Ah, so you are then?" He asked, continuing to water his plants. "You sure are a complex bean, Vincent S. Doge, I have been trying to decode you but it seems endless. So tell me, how did you get in here? I surely did not provide you with a key." Vincent shifted his position in the large flower pot so he could see Jerome better. "Vincent Shibe Doge," He grinned widely, beaming with pride at his own name. "If you care to know." His tail continued to wag back and forth in a slow, almost rhythmic motion. "Every man has his mysteries- as does every doge." Vin gave a clever smile, another devious gleam in his eyes. "I have my ways." Jerome blinked slowly. "I usually don't question you, Vincent, as it only puzzles me more. But this time I must; How do you enter my house with no key?" Jerome questioned, watering the last plant and setting the can down. He turned back to the shibe bean. "If you can get in I'm sure a burglar could as well, my curiosity is for safety reasons." He mentioned with a slight nod. "Oh believe me- not just any burglar could get in here!" Vincent snickered, "It takes dedication to get past a lock like that, you know." Vincent slunk down in the pot a bit, letting his eyes peek out- his tail slumping awkwardly over the other edge and swaying, just barely sweeping along the ground. "You've no reason to fear burglars- though I would recommend closing your kitchen window more often.” The chocolate brown eyes of Vincent S. Doge somehow seemed a bit more sly nature about them- most of his expression was masked by the pot, however. Jerome cleared his throat, his eyes falling down to his feet. "Well, I do try to keep this place locked up tight, but I do enjoy the outdoor breeze while I drink my late night cup of tea..." He started, mumbling the words to himself. Vincent sporadically burst into a laugh, "It's okay Jerome- I'm just messing with you!" He chuckled, "You seem to have some things to tend to-" Vincent slunk down into the pot- receding to it's base and sticking his tail up out of the pot like an orange palm tree. "Don't mind me- just another plant, yes- such fertilize, much plant, many flower- wow."
(Collaboration with me and Trollish, I can't predict what Vincent would say cx)

Jerome hears his doorbell ring, and pauses what he is doing to answer it just to find that nobody is there.
It was a warm Saturday evening, and Jerome was tending the the plants in his green house. He was at the hose, filling up his watering cans. The faint sound of Japanese music could be heard from a small antenna radio sitting on a table nearby. Jerome hummed along as he worked, his tail swaying back and forth to the song's soothing beat. His ears perked at the distant sound of a doorbell coming from the open garage door. "Now who could that be?" Jerome asked himself, pulling off his work gloves and setting them next to the radio. He walked inside the garage door, and then into the house. It took him a short while to get to the door, since the house was so large. He stared out the peephole first, his ear flicking as he realized that nobody was there. He let out an angry sigh, unlatching the door and peering through it to be sure that nobody was there. He saw a group of young teens running down the street, laughing. Furious, he stepped outside and ran to the front gate, shaking a fist at the kids. "You hooligans stay off my property, or I will contact the authorities!" He yelled. The kid simply laughed and continued running. He straightened his tie with a huff and marched back inside the house with a huff. Shutting the door behind him he said to himself, "I am getting old." He shrugged lightly and went back into the green house to continue caring for his plants.

Jerome is taking a relaxing stroll and comes across a pair of younger beans terrorizing the landscaping in the park.
It was a beautiful day in the Jelly Bean Dragon Chat Land. It was spring at last, and the air was full of the smell of fresh flowers and the sounds of chirping birds. Jerome was taking a stroll through the park, waving at the other beans and sometimes carrying on short conversations. He suddenly felt the urge to continue Moby Dick, the book he was currently reading. He was nearing the end and was anxious to get to the resolution, so he took a seat on a bench that stood across from a small patch of landscaped flowers. He stared at them for a few seconds, admiring their beauty before opening his book. He focused on the literature, unaware of the time passing by. After a few minutes he heard the sound of children nearby, and looked up from his book. There were two young beans tearing the flowers out from the landscaping across from him. Jerome gasped and stood up instantly, stomping across the walking path. "Now what do you two think you are doing?" He demanded, crossing his arms and giving them a stern stare. "You are damaging public property, and defenseless flowers, you should be ashamed of yourselves." The two beans looked at him nervously, looking as if they were about to run away. "S... sorry mister... We were just tryna play a game..." One of them started, the other one looking like he was about to cry. "Please don't tell my daddy!" He yelled before sprinting in the other direction. The other one nodded at Jerome and followed his brother. Jerome shook his head and picked up a mangled tulip. "What a shame... children these days have no respect for nature." He huffed, straightened out his tie, and started to repair the landscaping.

Jerome catches Riot in his spray painting act.
The sound of Riot's mischievous snicker echoed through the walls of the alley way. The rebellious teen was up to no good, as usual. Jerome was passing by, on his way to the cafe for a cup of tea. He heard the familiar snicker and growled under is breath, his head instantly jerking to the direction it came from. He approached the alley as Riot was about half way through with his painting. His fists instantly started shaking with anger, he had low tolerance for his fellow jam member. "You foolish delinquent! What on god's green earth are you up to?" He demanded. Riot jumped at the sudden voice, slowly turning to Jerome. "What does it look like, old man? I'm hunting elephants." He said, snickering once again. "Its obvious that you are doing no such thing, you are vandalizing public property and I won't stand for it!" Jerome roared, shaking a fist at Riot. "I'm going to contact the authorities." He pulled an old cell phone out of the pocket to his suit coat. "If only I knew how to work this thing..." He muttered to himself, pressing random buttons on the keyboard. "Oh come on man." Riot said, dragging the words out. He casually leaned against the wall. "This was just a plain old brick wall before, now its cool looking, give me a break." Jerome growled at this, giving Riot a death stare. "Give you a break, you ask? I will not just stand here and watch you violate the law, you imbecile!" He began yelling once again. Riot let out sigh, shaking up his can of paint. He took a step towards Jerome and swatted the phone out of his hand. It crashed to the ground and slid a few feet away. He then sprayed paint randomly on his suit coat, grabbed his bag and ran off. He was a fast bean, and Jerome was completely stunned. "My cellular device!" He howled, quickly picking it up. "It is demolished!" He turned to look at Riot as he disappeared around the corner of the alley, his eyes full of rage. He then noticed the paint on his coat. "My favorite suit! Oh, that hooligan will pay, he will regret this!" His voice boomed through the alley as he stormed down the walkway, back towards his house, because he couldn't be seen in his ruined suit coat.

A baby bean crawls into Jerome's pouch and starts referring to Jerome as "Daddy." (Idea given by Coava)
"Hello there, young one..." Jerome said awkwardly as a young bean approached him, looking quite frightened. "Where are your parents? You must have them worried." The little bean did not respond, but instead came closer to him. Jerome backed away slowly, but the next thing he knew the little bean had crawled into his pouch. "Daddy!" She shrieked, suddenly hyper now that she felt safe in Jerome's pouch. "I'm not your father, you must be mistaken..." Jerome started. The bean nuzzled him. Jerome was disgusted. He kept few items in his pouch, never anything as disgusting as another bean; who knows when the last time it was bathed was. He would have to sanitize his pouch later. He frowned, glancing around the area, wondering where the bean's parents were. The voice of the mother bean suddenly filled the air, causing Jerome to jump, and the baby to start crying. "What do you think you are doing with my baby?" the mother asked, stomping towards Jerome and sounding completely disgusted. "She just came to me, its not what you are thinking, I can assure you of that!" He said quickly, stepping backwards and stumbling slightly. The mother took her baby and began stomping away, muttering something about a pervert. Jerome stood there, watching her walk off, completely confused by the situation.

Jerome is left to babysit the kids of the Snapple family.
"Please, Jerome-san, only for an hour. I can't leave them alone, you know that." Monte begged, his yellow slitted eyes heavy with concern and lack of sleep, the black bags underneath them painfully obvious. Clasped paws pleading for Jerome to accept, "I'm begging you- I'm out of options here." Monte said desperately, taking a nervous glance back at the kids who were having a spitball fight with plastic straws. He let out a nervous sigh, shaking his head back at the little beans. "Why don't you just take them with you?" Jerome question, his voice cold as he attempted to hide any sympathy for Monte. "I can't, Jerome-san, I have tried and they tend to ruin my job interviews. Please, I will only be gone an hour." Monte answered quickly, straightening his tie. He was sharply dressed, as for this was a big opportunity for him, and his three mischievous kids would simply not help him make a good example. Jerome let out a sigh and nodded his head slowly. "I guess that is respectable. I have no other plans for tonight, but I expect that you will be providing me with dinner if I agree to this." He said, glancing at the three children nervously. They never behaved for Jerome, or for anybody, they were complete nightmares. "Yes, of course! Thank you so much, Jerome, now I must be off." Monte said before walking over to the kids. "Be good for Jerome-san, listen, and no playing in the fridge!" He directed as he grabbed his suit coat and exited through the door, which slammed behind him only to fill the room with silence. The three little beans stared at Jerome blankly for a few seconds before Coby burst out yelling, "Partyy!" He blew a spitball at Jerome, which landed on one of his feathers. "I don't think so!" Jerome shouted, his deep voice echoing through the room. He growled as he plucked the spit ball from his feathers and flicked it onto the ground. "Hand over the straws, right now." He demanded, holding his hand out. Coby, Monche, and Mozzie all walked over to him slowly and reluctantly placed their straws in Jerome's hands. "Mistah Herome-sand no fun." Mozzie complained, her tail dragging along the ground as she walked. "I am not here for your amusement." Jerome informed the young beans, "I am here to discipline you. And you are here to listen to me." He said, snapping the straws in half and throwing them in the waste bin. "No," Monche argued, "We are here to play house! And you can be the daughter, and I am the mommy. We live in the fridge!" He looked over at Coby. "Honey, wheres the newspaper?" Coby stuck out his tongue. "Out in the driveway, duh. Make the dog get it." He said, gesturing towards Mozzie. "Wella may be da doogy, but see ain't da buttly." Mozzie complained, frowning and crossing her arms. Jerome shook his head. "I have a different game in mind. Lets play prison. I'll be the warden, and you are the escapees. You can't let me see you, or you will go back to prison." He said, grinning at himself. Of course, it looked like he was baring his teeth. Coby wrapped his arms around Mozzie and backed away from the large bean slowly, frightened by his terrifying grin. Monche was not phased by Jerome's scary looks, he was very interested in this game. "So, you are telling me that this game is like hide and go seek?" He asked. "In many ways, yes. But you don't end up in prison at the end of hide and go seek." Jerome answered, nodding his head. "Day neva takes me awive!" Mozzie shrieked, escaping Coby's grasp and running off into some random direction. Coby followed behind her, he knew of a good hiding spot where he was sure he would not be found. "So when does the game start?" Monche asked, sticking his tongue out at Jerome. "In exactly one minute, so you better hide." Monche jumped and ran towards the fridge, where the young fluffy bean usually hung out to cool off. "Ready or not, the warden is hunting you down!" Jerome called as he sat on the couch, putting his feet up on the table. He pulled out a book and began reading, enjoying the rare silence that filled the Snapple household. Minutes ticket by slowly, and Monte arrived home in an hour like his promised. "It sure is quiet... Where are the kids?" He asked, looking around the house curiously. "In prison." Jerome replied, his lips curling up over his teeth as he deviously grinned.

Interview
"Excuse me sir- do you have a few minutes to answer some questions?"
"I guess I have a few minutes to spare. Ask me anything, I am an open book."
"Thank you! First I'll need your name, Mr...?"
"Jerome, but you can call my Jerome-san."
"Don't mind me asking, but would you mind enlightening me on the significance of that suffix?"
"Have you ever heard of Japanese honorifics? "San" has the same meaning as "Mr." or "Mrs." in English."
"Interesting! So I take it your nationality would be listed as Japanese? Or are you just into the culture?"
"I was born in Japan, so yes. I have roots in America though, thats why I live here today."
"When did you move to here?"
"When I was 18 when I moved here, so all of my childhood memories are from Japan."
"What is your favorite memory from when you lived in Japan?"
"Hmm.. thats a hard one. I'd have to say when I was 7 years old, just a young lad, my mother gave me a seed to a sunflower. She told me to plant it myself, keep it in the sun and water it everyday, and soon enough I would have a beautiful flower. I did as I was told, I would water it everyday when I got home from school. The flower grew slowly, and I eventually had to plant it in the ground. Towards the end of that summer it was a tall, beautiful sunflower. That is what inspired my to start my own nursery, the satisfaction I got out of raising that single flower."
"What is this nursery you speak of?"
"I have a greenhouse in my back yard, it serves as a plant nursery. I sometimes sell plants out of it, and its where I get most of my food."
"Is that your only job?"
"Its hardly a job, I'm currently unemployed."
"Really? You sure are sharply dress for an unemployed man."
"Unemployed doesn't always mean unfortunate."
"I guess not. Are you currently in any relationships?"
"No, which I'm sure is surprising for a handsome man like myself."
"Indeed it is. So, Jerome, do you have any pets?"
"Not exactly, but their is a little house finch who has decided to live in my greenhouse. I sometimes put seed out for him."
"Do you live alone?"
"Yes, but I often have company over. Sometimes uninvited. I enjoy the solitude, but it does get lonely every now and then."
"Lets go back to your childhood in Japan. What were your parents like?"
"My parents? Well, my father is a good man, but was very strict. He had high expectations for me, and as a child I was always stressed to meet them. He is the reason I am here today, he wanted me to attend a good school so I could become a lawyer. My mother is the complete opposite. She is caring, almost to the obnoxious amount. She would always want to know what I was doing or where I was, and if I was hungry for a bowl of noodles or not. She took good care of me, I have to say I miss having somebody like that. She ran a greenhouse herself, so she is where I really got the idea from."
"Did you really want to become a lawyer, like your father wanted?"
"Yes, actually, I believe I was the one to create that expectation for myself although we eventually ended up sharing it. I was lucky enough to inherit a great deal of wealth, so I never needed to get the job although I have considered it recently."
"Looks like I am out of time... Thank you for speaking with me Jerome!"
"It was no trouble at all, I never mind talking about myself."

- Why I Want Him and What I'd Do With Him
There are so many reasons why I want this bean. The moment I saw him I connected, I knew he was the bean I wanted to try for for my last slot. I skyped a friend of mine, totally freaking out, saying this was "the Jerome-san."I have been addicted to working on my form, I come online and its all I want to do. I have poured lots of time and effort into it, with 7000 words and over 80 edits, I want to prove that I deserve him. Jerome is a bean concept I have been saving a slot for for quite awhile now. I have been picky with this slot, of course, since it is for my last bean. I can't explain how happy I was to finally find the perfect bean for my concept. When I look at this reference I feel the same feeling I did when I first saw him, excitement and hope, along with the instant connection that I know will never fade away. I was relieved to see that it was an impress me contest, it was a chance for me to work hard on a bean to prove that I deserve it. I love his design, his colors, and those edits, he is amazing. I have always wanted a really special bean, like the 100th beans with lots of cool edits to make them unique. I want to be able to draw him and show him off, because he really is something special and deserves it. I roleplay my beans all the time, I spend more time on the JBD fanclub chat than I do on CS and anywhere else on the web. I keep thinking about how I would roleplay this bean and the things he would say. His personality sort of evens out the personalities in my jam. None of my beans are grumpy, old fashioned, or very wealthy. They are all different but Jerome would stand out the most, and probably would be the bean I would roleplay the most often. I mainly want him for a roleplay character, but I also love drawing him. I am not the best artist and don't have much confidence in my art, but I find this bean fun to draw and I think my style does him well. I can't tell you how many times I have opened a blank canvas and started doodling this guy, because its been too many. I haven't been able to provide much of my art in this form, since I seemed to have lost my art muse along with having to deal with some good old tablet troubles. But he has filled my school notebooks with little doodles, he is the first thing I think to draw if I want to draw something. I was happy to spend my pets and other online currencies spoiling this guy with art. Basically, if I was lucky enough to win this bean, he would be roleplayed, spoiled, and shown off like he deserves.
