Hello! I'm marlow. I was previously marine;;, but I've recently gone through a name change. I happen to own one bean, Eleanor Blake Hazard. She is my buba and I love her with all my heart. She has recently become a bit lonely, so when I saw this bean, I knew that she was the one for me. I want Vega for a couple reasons. Number one; I've sort of been /stalking/ the Elle x Orion babies. I was looking for space related names and I found a few that I liked, though they didn't all seem to fit her and furthermore most of them just meant “star” I wanted something a little more unique, as I continued my search I found the name Elara which is the name of one of Jupiter’s moons. I thought it fit her, and being a moon, I thought the name was pretty wonderful and suiting.

Aside from when Ela is with her family, she can be quite shy. She has a habit of hiding behind her parents legs and being just a little too meek to go out and socialize. She is also very quiet, along side with her shyness she has little to say. She gets by with only a few words here and there. Though as she grows up and gets more and more confident in herself they may fade, but she will always be a quiet shy, sweet girl. Elara is also very polite, she says her pleases and thank you's and tries to always be mature about things. This pretty purple girl likes to always come off as someone respectable. Ela often tries to act like a sweet heart, but really she is. Like an angel that has lost its wings. Though she isn't all perfect, because after all no one is. Elara can be very lazy, she prefers to sit at home, and hang out with her siblings than she does going out and being social. I am not saying she is anti social, she loves to be in the presence of others, but sometimes socializing takes effort she is too lazy to give. Elara can also be stubborn, she often becomes set in her own ways and is hard to get through to. In that way she can also be considered ignorant, but guess most young beans are. Over all though, Ela is a sweet, loving, shy girl. She is a fallen angel, though not even the angels are perfect.

Shy ~
There a quite a few beans in the community who have the same problem as Ela. She is too shy to talk to other beans, and for that reason it can be hard for her to make friends. She puts up a barrier around her that can be hard to penetrate, but once someone does they can see who is really hiding behind it and she is a wonderful bean to be around. On top of the fact that she is shy, she doesn't like to talk much, she is a bean of few words. Elara hates noise pollution, and there for she has problems tolerating beans that talk, and talk. She loves silence and peace, and dislikes unnecessary noise, so she chooses to only speak when she sees it fit.

Polite ~
Elara likes to come off as someone respectable, she likes to be kind and polite. Its something that is just natural to her, she hates when other beans are rude or ungrateful and tries to set an example. She has always been polite, from the moment she hatched and was able to talk. She always says her pleases and thank you's, and tries her hardest to be the best she can be whenever she is around others.

Nerdy ~
Ela loves to read, and to learn. She is always looking for the next book, or classic movie/tv show to watch. She loves to dress up as characters and run around imagining herself in their world. She will often try and convince her sisters to play with her. Even though learning can sometimes be frustrating or stressful, Elara loves it. She is always trying to learn something new for everybody and she absolutely loves when she is able to expand her knowledge.

Girly ~
Elara has three older sisters, and all around, very few males in her life other than her dad and a few cousins. This has turned her quite girly, she loves sparkles and cute things and playing wither other beans hair as well as her own. She is the definition of a little girl. Since she will continue to grow up in this environment she will always be quite a girly bean, but thats not in any way a bad thing.

Lazy ~
Even though Ela tries to be sweet and kind when she is in public, behind the scenes she can be a very lazy unmotivated bean. When she doesn't want to do something, she will immediately become lazy, she rarely ever has the motivation to go out and make friends, its easier for her too just sit around her house or sleep. Elara will often force herself or be forced into something like being a social bean, but she would rather get her beauty sleep. Whenever her mom or dad asks her for a favor, she may become lazy too. Ela loves her parents and wants to make them happy but sometimes her laziness gets the best of her.

Subborn ~
This pretty bean can be very stubborn. She often becomes set in her ways and hates when others try and talk her out of them. It can be very hard to get through to her when she is only looking at her own facts, Elara rarely ever cares about what other tell her because she would rather just listen to her heart. If she believes in something she won't stop, even against all the facts, she always believes that she is right. Ela can be slightly ignorant in this sense, and sometimes even annoying, but its something she can't help.

Elara has an obsession with gloves. She keeps a collection of gloves, and whenever she sees another bean wearing them she will use her sweet tone and puppy dog eyes to let her try them on. She loves the way they feel on her paws, she will rarely ever be seen not wearing gloves.

Whenever Elara is stressed, sad, or angry she will tap her foot. Its kind of rhythmic and helps her stay calm when faced with emotions such as these. She will not do this often, only when she is dealing with Sadness, anger, or stress. She doesn't notice she does it either.
Sit
Anytime Elara sits down she wraps her tail around her feet. Every single time, she does it instinctively and its just become a habit of hers that she once again often doesn't realize she does.

Elle - mom
Elara is really close to her mom, she is a mama's girl. She is never afraid to tell her mom anything and loves talking to her. She trusts her mom with all her heart and loves to be around her. Of her two parents she is slightly closer to her mother than she is to her father even though she loves them both. Her mom is her idol, she looks up to her and is always looking for her advice. She sees her mom as a wonderful, respectable, caring, strong bean and hopes to be just like her when she is older.
Orion - dad
She loves her dad, Elara might be closer to her mom than she is to her dad, but there is still no boundaries to her love for him. She loves her dad and looks up to him as well. She loves to send time with him, and just to be in his presence, she is a very quiet bean who has little to say, but being with her dad is just relaxing and fun for her. She had little to no worries when she is with him and just enjoys spending her time with him.
Cass - sister
Cass being her oldest sister is like a role model to Elara, she thinks Cass is beautiful, and wishes she was just as pretty as her, but she also knows that her sister loves her for who she is is and that she shouldn't hope to be someone she isn't. She isn't remarkably close to Cass though, she loves her sister and looks up to her, but she is still shy and since Cass is her idol she tends to spend more time taking “notes” and admiring her sister, than she does conversing and socializing with her.
Guinevere - Sister
Elara is very close with both of the twins, she is closer in age to the two of them and is more open and outgoing about them, she adores both of them. They are a ton of fun, and she is always happy when she is with them. She never hesitates to talk to them as she does with many other beans, she is also very trusting and affectionate towards her two twin sisters. They are very sweet to her and she tries to return the love. Elara is very close to Guinevere in particular, she spends a lot of time with her and Guin is her favorite bean. She loves all of her family, but is closest to Guinevere.
Narcissa - Sister
Like stated before, Elara loves both her twin sisters and is close to the two. Narcissa is very fun to be around and Elara loves to be with her. She might be a little closer with Guinevere but she is still close and still loves Cissa.

Marco - Uncle
The time she spends with her uncles is always fun. She is kind of shy but loves them very much, they always make her laugh and feel happy. This shy girl adores being with them, even if she doesn't say much.
Raven - Uncle
Elara isn't as close to her uncle Raven as she is to her uncle Marco because she doesn't see him as often, though when she does she loves to spend time with him.
Pollenia - Aunt
Elara adores her aunt, Pol is a ton of fun to be around and treats her like a princes. She loves to spend time in aunt Pol’s garden and look at the flowers. Elara is very appreciative that Pol lets her spend so much time in the peaceful place.
Eden - Aunt
Aunt Eden is wonderful and Elara loves her too. She is close to all her family and loves any time she gets to spend with Eden, or any of her family members for that matter.
Faebell - Cousin
Elara loves Faebell, she is similar in age with her, and they get along quite well. Elara also loves to play with her cousins hair, its very soft and pretty and its interesting to Ela
Mutoh - cousin
Elara isn't as close to this boy as she is to Faebell, she loves to see him but she is a little more shy around him. he is still family though and she still loves him.
Jerico - cousin
Elara loves Jerico, she loves to climb on him, steal his glasses, and play with his hair. He is a ton of fun to her, and practically a living jungle gym.
Pollen - cousin
Elara loves to follow Olle around, she doesn't talk to her too much but she just enjoys her presence. She will often silently walk around with her grown up cousin, just because she likes to be with her.

It might seem that colorblindness is a disability, something that makes me different. As I see it though, I have two ways of looking at it, I could sulk, complain about how other beans get to see the world differently, they often tell me how beautiful the colors are. Or I could see it as something inevitable, I can not change the fact that I was born this way, so why not see the world as a beautiful picture, instead of a dull one. I have to take the good with the bad in everything I do, so this is no exception.

I see a monochromatic world, one with black, white and gray. Once where the sun and the snow is the brightest purest white ever seen and the night without the moon or stars is the darkest black. I see a world that is beautiful, I never have seen color, I don't understand the concept of it and trying to explain it to me will never make me understand. I don't need to understand though, I am happy with my sight, I am happy with my life. I know that no matter what makes me different, I will have a family that loves me and a beautiful world to wake up to every morning, so why should I fret and dwell upon the small things such as whether or not I can see the colors everyone else does.

Though I do often over think it. I start to feel different, like nobody understands, like I do have a disability. I always wonder what it would be like to see color, a rainbow, a sunset. They are said to be the prettiest things, that colors blend together and make hues that are breathtaking, yet all I can see are different shades of gray, the world can often seem dull when I think about it like this. I try to avoid it, but its always there in my mind. I struggle when I think of myself as a alien to this world.

Either way, i can not change it, its my life, and I will try my hardest to make it the best I can, because it definitely isn't all bad. Actually I think I love the world I live in, no matter if its black and white, or colorful.

The One and Only Color
The Story of How Mika Learned she was Colorblind

The young bean watched attentively as her mother lay out the colorful blocks in front of her. Elle had decided it was time for her daughter to start learning some basic knowledge and she had decided to start with something simple, colors. "This one is green," she said softly to Mika as they sat on the floor. "And this one is blue. Blue... and green," Elle said as she pointed to the blocks in turn. "You see? Now you show me."

"Blue... green," replied Mika squeakily, pointing to the opposite blocks.

"Close sweetie, but not quite. Blue and green..." Elle tried again.

"But momma they look same to me!" Mika told Elle. In her eyes, the two blocks were both just slightly different shades of gray and it puzzled her how her mother seemed to think they were both so different. The tiny purple bean frowned.

"The same?" Elle answered, puzzled. "But how? Maybe we should try different colors?" She picked up an orange and a red block, trying again to show Mika which was which. Still, her young daughter didn't understand. She then tried a purple block and a yellow block. "This one is purple... this one is yellow. Do you understand Mika?"

Slowly, Mika nodded finally seeing one of the brilliant colors. She would definitely remember that one because it was the color of her fur as well as her entire family's fur. "I see purple," she smiled. "But yellow looks like blue, green, orange, red."

"Mika..." Elle replied. "Do the other blocks look the same too? All of them?" She gestured at the pile worriedly. "Describe the color they all seem to be."

Mika looked at her mother's worried face. Was something wrong with her. "Um... the color is gloomy and dark-ish. Not bright like purple. Purple looks really bright to this color. And all the blocks are almost the same but not exactly."

"Hmmmm... sounds like the blocks are all different shades of grey," said Elle confusedly. "And you can only see the purple ones? Orion, I think you should get in here!"

"What?" said Orion as he ran in, searching for the problem. Finding nothing, he sat down, putting Mika in his pouch as he did. "Why did you call me?" he asked Elle.

"Well, Mika says she can only see the color purple and everything else is gray. Could she perhaps be colorblind like her cousin Fae?" replied Elle.

"Momma? Is something wrong with me?"

"Um, Mika, well, we think you may be colorblind, you know, like Faebell."

"Fae?" muttered Mika. She loved her cousin and know it seemed they had something in common. Although, it didn't seem that what they had in common was a good thing.

"You can only see one color," said Orion. "It's called colorblind."

Mika looked confused. Colorblind... she thought. Was that a bad thing? "Momma, is colorblind bad?"

"No, not at all sweetie," smiled Elle. "It just means you're a little different is all." She hoped her little girl wouldn't be distressed upon hearing this news. She really wanted her daughter to be happy and she hoped this wouldn't change anything. She watched as Mika analysed this newly found information.

"Different?" replied Mika slowly. "I like different. Different is good."

"Yes, yes it is," said Orion, happy that Mika was taking it well. He smiled at Elle, who smiled back. They weren't exactly thrilled that their daughter was colorblind but they were happy that at least she was happy. Mika would always be unique and they were perfectly fine with that.

Elle and Orion.

Mika is extremely close with both of her parents. She loves to cuddle with Elle and Orion, sometimes she just jumps up on the couch with them and falls asleep on Orion’s lap. Her parents are always trying to teach her things and they are very patient with her. Mika and Orion often hang out together and watch a movie or read a book. Elle and Mika talk to each other a lot and even as Mika gets older I am planning on the two of them being very close. Sometimes, they’re entire family likes to go out and gaze at the stars when the sky is clear.

Cassiopeia, Guinevere, and Narcissa.

Mika is very close with all three of her sisters. Cass is a very good caretaker of Mika and often babysits her while Elle and Orion are out. Mika’s sister gives her advice when she needs it and they love each other very much. Mika seems to constantly be pointing out that her and Cassiopeia are “twins”, almost like their sisters. As for Gwen and Cissa, the three of them are even closer than Mika is with Cass. The twins are close but they are very good about not making Mika feel excluded. These three play together all the time and their parents are always happy to see them skipping about. Though she may fight with her sisters occasionally, these four are very close and Mika all three of her amazing sisters.

Aunty Pollenia, Aunt Eden, Pollen, Jerico, Mutoh, and Faebell.

Mika loves both her aunts as well as her cousins. Her Aunty Pollenia is always there to comfort her and as Pollenia and Elle are good friends as well as sisters, Mika sees her quite often. Pollenia taught Mika how to garden one summer and that summer they planted mint, which has since become her favorite plant. Mika goes to these aunts with her problems because they always seem to be able to help her out. Mika and Eden love to chat with each other, they can spend hours on end talking about who knows what and their conversations can range from shampoo to basketball.

Faebell and Mika share the colorblindness situation though Faebell is also deaf. These two communicate by writing and drawing. Fae and Mika love each other likes sisters and honestly, Mika wishes that they were. They can often be found tumbling around in the yard or silently reading next to each other. Of all her cousins, Mika is the closest to Faebell.

Mutoh and Mika get along fairly well though Mika's not exactly sure what to think of him. She hasn't really gotten to know him all that well though she sees him often enough. When he comes over they just kind of drift around each other and don't talk all that much. The two of them just kind of enjoy each other's silent company.

Onto Olle and Jerico now. Olle and Mika are relatively close though Olle is more like a much older sister to her. Olle is somewhat shy but they speak their minds to each other and Mika has managed to coax Olle out of her shell. Well, at least she's not shy with Mika anymore. As for Jerico, he is more like an uncle to her as there is so much of an age gap. Jerico is protective over Mika and i think once she gets older this will annoy her, even though she knows it's because he loves her. Mika loves to play with Jerico's glasses and wears them around, completely disoriented by the vision through the lenses.

Uncle Marco, Aunty Namaqua and Polo.

Mika loves her this family and sees them quite often. For starters, Marco and Namaqua arre good parents to their own son so they tend to treat their niece extremely well, almost as if she was their own. Mika and her uncle often read books together or fool around. Sometimes he even wrestles with her. Namaqua teaches Mika lots of basic skills and they love to go out and play in the yard together. Mika is closest to this aunt and uncle.

Mika and Polo are very close to the same age. In fact, they are the best of buddies! Mika is always there to comfort Polo, seeing as he is quite the sensitive little boy. She stands by him when he cries and tries her best to cheer him up. These cousins have a nice close relationship. Polo is very excited and playful around his cousin and she is playful around him as well. When he comes over, Mika and Polo spend the entire day playing together, not even pausing once.

Uncle Raven.

Mika has not yet met her uncle Raven but I am sure when it comes time for her to meet him she will love him, just like she loves the rest of her family!

Aunt Skylar, Uncle Ebony Arrow, Hashtag, Trixster, and Bamboo Bubble.

Though Mika has met her Aunt Skylar on multiple occasions, she doesn’t really know the rest of that family very well. The only time her Uncle Ebony Arrow and cousins Hashtag, Trixster, and Bamboo Bubble have come to see her or she gone to see them was when she was only a couple of weeks old and she has grown much since then. Mika loves her Aunt Skylar. Why? She likes her because Skylar is so relaxed that she can always calm Mika down and is a comfort to have around.

Mika is very anti-social, preferring to stay in her room and watch TV, play video games or read a book a book rather than come out and talk to people. This isn’t because she’s shy, she just doesn’t like people other than her friends and family all that much. She would prefer to be alone than deal with the people she doesn’t like –she’s not exactly good at hiding her feelings. In the case that she likes you and comes out to speak to you then Mika is very easily likeable and charming. Lots of people like her but she doesn’t like all that many people. She is also a bit of a geek so if you get onto the subject of a fandom she likes then she will never stop talking to you. Mika would also be quite proud. She would never back down and would always ‘defend her honor’ as she puts it. She most definitely doesn’t like people seeing her as weak.

Astraia has a very similar personality to that of her mother, though she can have some slightly different tendencies, it is
not difficult to tell she is Elle's daughter. Astria has a very kind, social, and bubbly nature about her. She's highly opinionated and can be pushy and nosy at times, but she's very sweet and loving of everyone around her.

• Elle~ Her Mother.
  Astraia has a very close relationship
  with Elle, a great part of this is
  due to their similar personalities.
  However, similarities can also
  make it seem a bit like they either
  get along too well, or not well at all.

• Orion~ Her father.
  Astraia is what you would commonly call
  a "Daddy's girl" more so than most,
  she will follow her daddy just about everywhere.
  Astraia's great love of Orion can sometimes cause trouble
  and confusion as she will sometimes crawl out of her
  Mother's pouch in order to find her Daddy,
  sometimes mistaking one of her uncles
  for him.

  Astraia tends to be
  extremely clingy, especially
  to her other siblings.

• Cassiopeia.
  In Astraia's mind,
  she is extremely close to Cass,
  so she will cuddle her and cling, following
  her most everywhere.

  how annoying her tendencies to cling
  to Cassiopeia can make her sometimes.

  Astraia has a great respect for Gwen,
  unlike with her other sisters,
  she will stand back a few feet and
  hold her breath to hear what Gwen has to say.
  A great deal of it is for how
  clever and beautiful Astraia thinks her sister is.

• Narcissa.
  Astraia loves her sister Narcissa,
  possibly the most out of her sisters
  because she is practically the only
  one who will willingly snuggle her back
  when she gives her a surprise hug,
  though it annoys Cass a bit,
  she knows that it doesn't annoy
  Narci so much and it makes
  her the favorite of Astraia's sisters.

• Pollenia~her Aunt.on her mother's side
  Astraia has a tendency
  to mistake her for her mother.
  Though Astraia gets confused at times,
  Pollenia has a tendency to straighten her out
  then spoil her afterwards.
  So Astraia considers her a really cool aunt.

• Eden.~ Pollenia's significant other.
  Astraia enjoys playing
  with Eden very much,
  Eden is always extremely gentle
  and often acts like she's much
  younger than most beans her age,
  that Astraia knows.
  Astraia will often try as hard as
  she can to convince her to play.

• Jerico.
  Sometimes Astraia really enjoys spending time
  with her cousin Jerico.
  She loves riding along in
  Jerico's pouch.
  she thinks he is lots of fun and loves messing with his hair to
  annoy or anger him.

  Astraia will hide with Fae.

  Astraia would like to be closer to her
  cousin Olle, but Olle is really shy,
  very much unlike Astraia.

  Not as close to Mutoh as Faibell,
  Astraia enjoys spending time with him,
  but generally she's just hanging out to play
  or steal some snuggles from toys he might have.

  Astraia and Faebell are extremely close,
  Astraia knows that Faebell is deaf,
  but she finds herself very close to
  her in a way no other bean really understands.
  Astraia loves playing with Fae,
  speaking to her by drawing pictures.

  Raven is a bit more reckless than Astraia's other
  relatives. This makes it a bit more dangerous
  for her to be around him, but she doesn't care.
  She has a tendency to mistake her uncle Raven
  for her father, due to their similarities.

  loves following him to questionable places.

  Marco is very kind
  and gentle towards Astraia,
  though she often mistakes

  brother-sister relationship even though

  cousins Bamboo, Hashtag, and trixie.

  a second mother figure to
  Astraia.

  Kiendra's best friend
  and basketball playing companion,
  Astraia loves him because

  and sometimes, he will
  kidnap her due to his adorable love for
  younger children Astraia's age

  Astraia, so Astraia will often cling to
  her and hope that she will
  play or read her a bedtime story.

  Violet likes playing with him

  Coby and Monche are

  her around as she's got a tendency
  to slow them down.

  as much as possible,
  though she's young she suspects
  something between Lee and Koyuki

  spends a lot of time with

  Lee, Koyuki and Yumemi,
  especially Yumimi

  Koyuki's overly hyper younger
  sister, Astraia enjoys
  playing with her and sometimes
  being a handfull for Koyuki

How she and her family feel about her colorblindness.

Astraia has never really minded her colorblindness too much,
she's had it since the day she hatched,
so she has never really payed much mind to it.
Though she's okay with it, so
sometimes, her inability
to differ between some colors can make it difficult for her parents.
This is because it can make Astraia mistake complete strangers
for her parents or siblings and go anywhere with them,
making for a very dangerous situation for Astraia because
she's cute enough that her parents get scared that someone
will take her away, or kidnap her to keep her away from home.
