What is this blue stuff on his/her paws and neck?: Ink. After reading Wings of Fire: The Lost Heir, he admired Queen Coral. He wanted to write just like her! But, that was impossible, y'know. He's not a dragon.

Ink drips, drops from your neat paws.
Yet you hate water.

What is this blue stuff on his/her paws and neck?: It is blue paint, and he makes it naturally by crushing blueberries and mixing the juice with other materials. Since the process is quite messy, he often winds up covered in paint. c: He uses it to make different paintings on trees and large flat rocks, decorating his territory with such splendor, a human would wonder if a human artist had been there.

What is this blue stuff on his/her paws and neck?:

When Splatter tries to scratch his way up trees, he often picks the sappiest ones so he can get a grip on the sticky substance. He usually ends up getting all sticky from the sap, and it mixes with the colors of berries he eats as a treat afterward.
