Why did you choose that companion for him/her? because chameleons are shy and blend in with other things to hide like kiamaras are shy.
How they met their companion: (optional but gives big bonus) blossom met her companion mercury when she was out walking in the forest. she saw something move beside her but all she could see was the tree trunk. blossom celia rose carried on walking but she was well aware that there was something following her. after a while blossom whispered "is there someone there". a blur flashed on the tree in front of her and a slight outline of a small animal appeared. emerald edged closer to the tree and the chameleon appeared in front of her. they spoke quietly at first, asking questions about one another but all the while growing in confidence. they became close, finding that they had more in common that they thought.
