Name: Bruster
Why you might ask? Well, Bruster was the name of my grandma's cat who just past away. He was an amazing cat, my absolute favorite. Anyways, this JBD has almost the exact same colors used in it as the color of the cat's fur. Bruster the cat was like a blue Siamese, yet he wasn't, he was a mix and a stray. It reminds me so much of him.Gender: male
JBD's companion/pet: a large male capybara
JBD's theme song: Radioactive - by Imagine Dragons
Radioactive is his theme song because Bruster is a total hockey fan. This song is the Pittsburgh Penguins hockey team's theme song, which is his favorite hockey team. Bruster wishes to be as good of a hockey player as the players on that team, and almost every day he practices while listening to Radioactive, his theme song.
Story: (first person, told by Bruster himself)It was 5:00 a.m. when my alarm clock went off. I grunted in frustration, my eyes tiredly blinking open as I whacked my alarm clock, trying to get it to stop buzzing. The sound was ringing through my ears as I sat up in bed and threw my legs over the edge. Today was my big hockey game, another chance for me to show off my amazing skills to our opposing team. I quickly threw on some khakis and white T-shirt and ran downstairs into the kitchen. Nobody else was awake but me as I put a microwavable egg and sausage breakfast sandwich into the microwave. After I ate I left the kitchen and gathered up all of my hockey gear. I was so excited for the game against the Butler Blue-Jays. My team, the Armstrong Arrows, was going to kick their butts today.
I got to ice rink just in time before warm ups started. Our coach, Coach Mike, walked up to me and said, "You better not make any mistakes today. We're all counting on you." I nodded to him in approval and stood up with my hockey stick firmly grasped in my hand and skated out onto the ice. I was even the captain of the team, if you couldn't tell by the big "C" on my jersey. I couldn't let anybody down today.
After 10 minutes, our time to warm up was over, and the game was starting. I was sent out onto the rink first along with Daniel Colber, Dylan Jackman, Chase Croyle, and Anthony Sleebok. I skated up to center in-front of Zach Berghenti from the opposing team for the face off. "N, H, L," the referee called as we tapped our sticks together when he said each letter. Once he said "L" we tapped sticks and I slapped the puck first, sending it to Dylan. Dylan skated froward with the puck then passed it back to me. I continued to skate towards the opposing goal, blocking the other team from getting the puck from me. Passing it to Chase, I then darted towards the goal and Chase passed it back to me. I snatched the puck quickly and slap shot it into the goal.
In the second inning Nick Giedel, from the other team, made a goal. Then in the next inning nobody made a goal. Finally it was the last inning, our only chance to win. I started the face off as usual, passing it to Anthony this time. Anthony then passed it to Dylan, but Zack on the other team stole the puck from him and headed straight for our goal, where Daniel was keeping guard. Everyone raced after him, but he was too fast and gave the puck to Nick. I kept my eyes on the puck, not letting them wander anywhere else. Nick slapped the puck with his stick, sending it flying. Just then I stuck out my stick and snatched the puck before it went into the goal. Everyone in the crowd cheered as I darted towards the Butler Blue-Jay's goal. I quickly passed it to Chase and got ready near the goal. Chase skated forward and passed the puck to me. Luckily Kenneth Minteer from the other team missed the puck when he tried to steal it from getting to me.
I caught the puck firmly in my stick and slap shot it towards the goal. Avery Parks, the goalie, dove for the puck. Everyone watched in amazement as the puck slipped through his legs and into the goal. I shouted in victory, throwing my hands in he air. The crowd cheered happily, while the opposing team threw their sticks down. My team was cheering for me though, and I was smiling proudly. I showed off my skills just like I said I would, and I never let my team down.
