Midnight Dragon.
Name;;
Infinity Stellar Xenthian
Reasoning Behind the Name;;
There are many theories regarding the size of the universe. It's one of
my favorite subjects to ponder. One of the most widely accepted theories is that
the universe is infinite in size. It's not the theory that I think best matches the
universe today, but I really think that the name fits this one. His cosmos is
infinite.
Gender;;
Male
Age and Birthdate;;
24 years, and born on August 29th, 988, at 12:12 in the morning.
Size;;
Large, quite nearly elephant sized.
Voice;;
Deep, booming and mysterious. It makes you want to either
curl up and hide from him or come to him with all your worries and
troubles, and they'll disappear. But of course, next to
nobody hears his voice.
Orientation;;
Hetersexual - StraightPersonality;;
Infinity is different from the rest. When you first meet him, he is cold and
impassive. He will simply glance at you and walk away. If you're lucky, he will
nod to you or blink. He will most likely not speak to you and soon he will walk
away. He will never hint on any of his emotions at all, leaving you at loss of
what he is feeling in the great abyss of his inner workings. He will never
talk to anyone unless he is very close to that person, so when you first
meet him, expect total silence from his massive figure. He will stare at
really anyone who passes him, warily watching for any signs of...anything.
Any signs of approaching him, really. If he finds them, he will disappear from
sight, away from the world.
Once you get to know him a bit more, you'll find that Infinity is actually a very
shy JMD. He does not like holding conversations for fear that he will say the wrong
word or mispronounce a word. He gets embarrassed easily, even by the smallest
things, like if he accidentally trips over a small stone in the park, though his
countenance will reveal nothing, he will be extremely embarrassed and briskly
walk away. He is a real gentleman, very polite and soft-spoken. He tries to
be neat all the time, always groomed to the extreme. He also has a fiery
temper that is hard to control fully. He's pretty unpredictable. He is a
perfectionist,always trying to do everything right. He loves to create
things and is very artistic. He loves spinning things, and he often
creates huge rings of material and sets them just so that they spin
in the breeze and make a low hum as they twirl. Many of these
strange inventions can be found outside his dwelling. He hates his
jewel power, strength and destruction, and he tries to counteract it
with stunning creations.
In conclusion, Infinity is impassive, shy, creative, sensitive, and cold.
History;;
He started out normal. A energetic, playful baby that had an urge to
explore the world as he did and didn't know it. He was playful and blissfully
ignorant of the world's horrors. To him, life was a gigantic game, but if you lost,
you could be regenerated with another life and continue on. He thought
that once you died, you could come back, somehow.
Until the tragedy hit.
His parents, who were very free-minded, were out one day, hunting for food for
their child. They sky swirled with ominous storm clouds and occasionally
lightening. They were deep in conversation about whether they could ever fly
faster than the speed of light, and what technology was required.
"I believe that it's only a matter of time," His mother stated. "I mean, with all these
advancements in the current time, who knows what's next? Our little boy could be
the one to discover the technology. You know how he is with his little machines."
His father was silent for a moment. "I think," he said. "That Infinity has a different
fate." He looked down at the hard ground, caked with a early winter frost. He heard
a soft thud as his mate's wing hit a tree. She giggled and righted herself. His mate rolled
his eyes.
"Constance, please stop fooling around," he sighed. "You'll scare the prey."
Constance stuck out her tongue. "Oh, come on, Magnitude," she said.
"What could possibly happen?"
Suddenly, a flash of blinding light, and lightening streaked down from the
sky, stunning Magnitude and throwing him out of the air and onto the
ground. Once his vision cleared, he immediately searched for his mate,
Constance. She was nowhere to be found. The blue speckled Jewel
Maned Dragon was gone from sight. His frightened eyes looked all around
until finally, he saw a small figure laying among the brush. It was a rather
fried Constance, as still as stone.
Magnitude rushed over to her, but it was too late. Her breathing had ceased.
Magnitude howled with anguish and bounded away swiftly, tears clouding his
eyes. He was blinded by sadness and grief, and quite literally. He never did
see the approaching ledge and plummeted down it, his body hitting the rocks
underneath.
Both parents were gone.
Infinity found this out when his parents did not return for a long while,
maybe three days at the most. He was only maybe six or seven then, and
his world was shattered. He stayed there in his old home for three years,
relying on the food storage that his parents had worked so hard on filling.
Eventually, he realized that no, you cannot come back after death. He set
out to find his destiny, wherever that lie.
Eventually, the whispering wind and fate lead him to the Big Apple, New
York City. He was thirteen at the time, and awkward. He still talked
at that point, but it was hard for him to put out the right words. At
first, Infinity hated the busy streets and constant noise, but he eventually
came to get used to it. He met Xannadariah Rhianna Extremity Crystalli, his
adopted sister, there.
He was calmly walking down the streets, toward a nearby Starbucks. He
heard a great crash, and suddenly, a grey, blue, black, and white figure
bolted out swiftly, a small piece of iced lemon pound cake in her maw.
She swiftly ran out of the store, and an angry worker stuck his head out
of the doorway and yelled curses at the small, mustang sized creature.
It seemed to be another Jewel Maned Dragon, and judging by the braids
that hung from her sides, it was a female. She seemed very young, only
eight at the most. A very bold and daring female at that, as she turned
around and stuck out her tongue at the already enraged worker.
She kept running and before she looked ahead, she crashed into Infinity,
hurtling both of them into a side alley. They tumbled and turned until
they finally stopped. Infinity groaned with pain, as his left hind ankle
was twisted in an odd way.
The young female JMD's shoulders rose and fell rapidly and small noises
came from her. Infinity approached her cautiously.
"Miss, are you alright?" He said, concerned. He then realized that the
girl was not in fact crying, but rather laughing. She howled with
laughter for a while.
"That...that was..." She gasped. "...fun! Can we do that again?" She grinned.
Infinity looked at her bewildered. "I'd better take you home," He said. "Where
do you live?"
The girl suddenly got cold and stony. "Why do you want to know, creep?"
She barked. "I don't want you to follow me home or anything! Why do you
even bother speaking? You're a downright creeper, you --"
Infinity cut her off before she could let loose a verbal cannon. She was very
spunky for a girl. "If you feel that way," He said. "I'll leave you." He
walked away, pretending to be unfazed by her harsh words. But they had truth
in them. Why did he talk? What's the point, when you'll only say the wrong
thing? Infinity vowed then, to never speak again, unless he absolutely needed
to.
He continued his life in the city, eventually settling down near a library. He often
read some of the old books that were discarded. He saw Xannadariah around
often, causing trouble, but eventually, he became her guardian and her friend.
She was like the little sister he never had, albeit a crazy, rebellious, troublesome
one, but family is family, and he finally had one.Likes;;

Knowledge.
A library filled with thoughts
A sheet of lined paper, math all over it
Old memories being brought back
A black and white photograph.
Beauty.
A spider's web, glistening with dew
A cricket's song filling the night air
Stars twinkling on a cool summer night
A wolf's howl in still dusk air.
Depth.
A barn owl's desperate cry at midnight
The eyes of a predator, hunting and hunted
Silence. It is deep in itself
The cosmos, beckoning to those who thirst
For knowledge, beauty, and depth.
Cold winds howl in the night
Blowing my scarf off my weary shoulders
Months of traveling, but for what?
I'm cold, hungry, and weary
These building with their neon lights and blinding white noise
It drowns me in a discordant conglomeration of
Hustle and chaos
They say it's the best city around, but is it really?
In time, perhaps my option shall change like
The steady winds
...
And they did.
Pensive eyes glitter with wisdom
Silver swirling galaxies emblazed over dark blues
Constellations weave up your limbs
Foundations creak when they hear your name
You are infinite, my child.
Strength and destruction
Yet you aim to inspire
Creativity.
Why I Want Him;;
Well, there are many reasons that I want him, really.
First off, his design is exquisite. The combination of navy and blue
and white and silver and oh my gosh. It all comes together so well,
and the galaxy pattern? Simply stunning. The constellations on his
body are very well drawn and very pretty. I love everything about
his design, and the fact that it's much easier to draw than my first
JMD's design, Xannadariah. Xanna's design takes me nearly an hour
and a half to do right, but his? Simple and elegant, just as I love.
I have a huge passion for astronomy, astrophysics, cosmology, and
overall, learning about the mysteries of space. I have been hoping
for a JMD like this ever since I first saw JMDs, which is was a while
longer than you might think. I was there when the first lines came
out.
Him and I, Infinity and Midnight, we are pretty alike. His intelligence,
his coldness towards strangers, his love of sciences and creating things,
and his wording and precision are pretty similar to the way I act when my
more introverted side takes hold of me. Like I mentioned before, I really
love space. Just ask f r o s t, the contestant above me and also one
of my best friends. Seriously, you can ask if you don't believe me. Normally,
I'm a pretty organized person, and strive for perfection and order. But I
get messy when i'm creative, which I am a lot.
I also believe I could take good care of him. He would never be neglected, or
forgotten. I'm convincing my parents to let me join the site, and even before
I do that, I'll roleplay him, draw him, both on CS and off, let him interact
with others and basically be a very good owner for this little guy. I think I
deserve this little boy at least a little bit, but then again, everyone does.
I was very hesitant to enter this contest, as one of my best friends is in this
contest as well, f r o s t. I normally don't go against many
contests with her, mainly because she's my friend and she's
make some pretty wicked awesome forms in the past. I recognize
competition when I see it. And yet, I felt compelled to enter. I really
had a connection to this lovely JMD. If I win, it will be like the beginning
of a story. I'm ready to tell his story and I promise it'll be a good one.
I promise I will never forget him, until infinity ends.

"What do I like?
I like the night sky, those peaceful nights where no one dares to whisper as they're afraid of breaking the silence. Those nights are blissfully quiet, and with this silence, I can finally think without the burdensome distractions of life. Winter nights are even better, with the crunching of the snow as you walk over it out to your favorite star-viewing area. Somehow, it intensifies the silence, the alone-ness of the night. I could spend forever outside, stargazing. And I don't think anyone would notice I was gone.
My favorite food are s'mores. They're the perfect night-time snack above a winter fire when you're star watching. There's nothing better in the world than biting into a mushy hot marshmellow and perfectly melted chocolate between a graham cracker when it's twenty below zero out. Nothing better.
"What don't I like?
I can't stand the hustle and bustle of modern day cities, or even society sometimes. It overcomes me, and I can't find that silence, the inner peace, that I find when outside under the swath of open, star dotted sky. I need this peace, just like anyone needs air, water, or someone to love them. Without it, I'm lost, thrown and tossed about by the noises and confusing bits.
Also, I can't stand hot summer days. Most JMD enjoy them. Well, I find them overwhelming, confining, and stressful. Call me odd, I know. But, it's true. There's just something about the heat that confounds me, I can't focus, I'm not a hot-weather JMD."
"What's My Personality?
I'm glad you asked! I'm what many would refer to as a 'procrastinator.' This doesn't mean I don't do anything at all, it just means it takes quite the shove and push to get me to do something, and most of the time, when I do it, I do my job very well. When star-gazing, I reflect on who I am, and who I want to be. I know myself inside-out, and my weaknesses and strengths as well. Slightly hyperactive, my attention span is said to be low. Of course it is, when star gazing, even the smallest little comet can send a star-watcher into a tizzy. I have protective instincts too, and I find that I'm loyal, sometimes too loyal. It's part of my flaws, that can also be one of my greatest strengths. Hurt me once, shame on you; hurt me twice, shame on me. Most of the time, you're better off finding me sitting alone, thinking, reflecting- but never plotting revenge, and you'll rarely find me angry. I'm a lover, not a fighter you could say.""What Are a Few of My Favorite Things?;
Favorite Painting; Starry Night, by Vincent Van Gogh.

❝I'm Aapep, and yes I've had many awkward blank stares from people after I've said it. It's Ancient Egyptian if you care to know and it means Moon Snake, how very fitting, eh? You know in Egyptian mythology Aapep was a giant snake who was nothingness and who tried to catch souls of the dead on their journey to the afterlife. Those he caught would become non-existant, bet ya didn't know that, did ya? Well maybe some of you did, those who have interest in Ancient Egypt. My mother chose it for me, I didn't have a say I was a baby and I like it. Even if it's a little ... odd, but mostly I go by Pepe for easiness' sake.❞

Aapep is complex.
❝Uh ... how am I suppose to answer this excalty?❞
Overall Aapep is an overly bright, quiet, reserved, painfully shy boy. He perfers to sit in the corner and be ignored, he's a guy who hates to be in the spotlight. He's a doormat, you can walk all over him without complaint. Aapep is borderline genius, with a IQ of 165. He doesn't mind getting his paws dirty and loves a bit of rough and tumble with friends. He's an insightful guy with a strong love of history and books. He has a particular love of Ancient Egypt, for which his own name orignates from. He has a deep rooted love of fantasy. There are times of course he forgets his shy-complex and his doormatish ways. He is a blagguard around friends, a joker and the ringleader. He is blunt, very truthful and sometimes just a little painfully so. Even around friends he is the quiet one, the mastermind with a altiloquent vocabulary. There are times he just can't resist using his wide vocabulary to confuse people, mainly those he doesn't like. Some would call him a Sherlock Holmes, he just calls himself very observant.
History?
Curiousity killed the cat
Just a little curious.
❝Umm ... I was born during a storm? Eh, I-I'm not that interesting.❞
Aapep was born at excatly midnight.
His birthday falls on the thirty-first of October, one of the very first babies born on that day. It was a stormy night and it terrified his mothe - who feared thunderstorms - so much she went into early labour by three weeks. But little Aapep came out a fighter. His father didn't have a choice in his name, he'd promised it to Aapep's mother while trying to soothe her but even before that he knew she would have been picking his name anyway. His mother loved Ancient Egypt and thus came his name, Aapep. He has two younger sisters and two elder brothers, so much to say he comes from a big family.

Blue
Aapep shivered.
It was much colder than he had anticipated. The snow fell in a careful white flakes which stuck dark pelt. His grey eyes danced as the light caught them though the trees. Far away, in almost another world it seemed, her heard his brothers messing with each other in the meadow. It was still the first day of snow and it was soft and cold beneath his feet. Not frozen and harsh as it would be by this time tomorrow.
Eyes.
He felt them following him and spun in slow circles looking for the owner of those eyes. The black wolf stepped cautiously out into the clearing. Icy blue locking with storm grey. Somewhere in Aapep he felt fear should burn. That he should scream, that fear should be rising in his heart like bile in his throat. But that wasn’t happening.
Instead he felt ... fascination? Yes, fascination. The wolf crept closer and now Aapep could see it was just a little bigger than him.
The she-wolf herself should have left but she didn’t. They were being pulled to each other and somewhere in Aapep’s mind he was reminded of those awful romcom books about the werewolf boy falling in love with a human girl and connects to her in his wolf form. Or something like that. But this wasn’t like that.
No. This was two speices being drawn to one another. Outcasts. The circled each other, well the she-wolf (Aapep would later fondly call her Blue for her eyes) circled him curiously while he turned to keep their eyes locked.
And somewhere in the distance he heard footsteps. The sounds of his brothers running towards their place.
The wolf didn’t want to go. It wanted to stay here and see why this strange one hadn’t run and screamed in fear. But she would not risk her life. And so she fled, back into the tree line. She turned to look over her shoulder. Just once. Icy blue locked with storm grey for the last time before the she-wolf melted into the shadows and she was nothing more than the outline of a tree.
He was still staring at her exit point when his brothers found him – and tackled him. He came home dripping wet from the melted snow with a happy grin plastered on his face.
But he never forget his wolf. Many, many hours he spent staring long and hard into the forest. Never did he forget the sharp shade of her blue eyes, or the midnight darkness of her pelt. He never forgot his Blue.

Why do you what this JMD?
My, my do I really need to answer? He's beautiful, one of the most handsome JMD's to ever catch my eye. I've always been fasinated by the stars and night sky and so upon seeing him it was love at first sight. If I win him he'll be my first JMD, and I admit my form is rather ... brash. I couldn't find anywhere to order art and nor would I try myself on a form as I fear my ... useless skills and - not to mention it could take me weeks to finish it - would ruin my chances and I find I am much more talented in the written arts.
