Ever since i was a litle kid i used to run around in the forest, and this is how i came to find this egg.

I awoke with a start, and felt the sweat running down my forehead. Just another night with nightmares, filled with things I could not explain to anyone. Things like dark magic and odd creature I had never seen before. I sat up in Sangem and noticed the time was not more than four in the morning. I got up and put on my coat to take a walk.
I always can go back to sleep after a long walk.
I walked along a trail in the woods that I've always known to but not followed some time earlier. My grandmother cultivated tell that it had strange things in this part of the forest and we could not go there, but it was at that drew me in that direction and I was curious and started walking.
I felt watched and persecuted, I turned around but saw nothing there so I went on. It was terribly dark in this part of the forest. Usually when I'm out in the woods and go so I tend to notice different sounds and the birds' beautiful song, but here everything was quiet and dead.
Suddenly I hear a clear cry of a bird, ijag can hear it flapping around looking for a place to rest.
I'm starting to consider to turn around and go home again, but it is something that is calling me deeper into the forest. So I need to know why I feel as I do.
I am going further and further into the forest and it starts just as the woods in my nightmares that make me wake up every night.

As i'm coming further and further into the forest and begin to see the glimpse of a pink glow, and the closer I get the more I feel it is precisely that which calls me.
I'm starting small run and I reach the light, and where I find an egg, with a bright pink glow that shines ever stronger as I get closer. I bend down and put my egg him on and feel how cold it is. I look around to see if there is any parent of the egg but I see nothing as far as the eye can see. I'm picking up the egg in my arms and puts it under my jacket.

I run all the way home to get it into heat and when I'm home at last the sun has already begun to rise in the sky.
I walk into my room and crawl into bed again, but this time with the egg close to me.
I whisper to the egg:
- Do not be worried little friend, I'll take care of you
And after I fall asleep and start dreaming about the day the egg will hatch and show himself to me, and I hope that I have found myself a new friend.

"It was a normal day, like any other, that I happened upon the greatest thing of my life, and I knew then I’d never be the same. Pray, come sit by the fire and warm your hands. How do you prefer tea? Sugar, milk, lemons? Make yourself comfortable, and I shall retell my favourite tale, as I have inexhaustibly time and time again.

"It was the average day; the sky was as blue as a robin’s egg, the grass as green as summer, and the golden sun beat down upon her back as she trudged up the steep, rocky mountain’s slope. With a rough leather backpack and plain linen traveller’s clothes, the woman didn’t appear to be anything special, but the glint of courage in her eyes and the steely determination woven into the features of her weathered face, not to mention the sword at her hip and the knife at her belt, did not hesitate to betray her fierce warrior’s spirit. Her supple but strong leather boots crunched over the path of gravel leading up the mountain’s slope, and her breath came strong and steady in her throat, humming under her breath as if in some high and lonely song. Her dark hair tumbled down her back, gossamer wisps floating in the breeze from her back. Her eyes were sharp and dark, seemingly of every colour and none at all, yet if one would look close into her piercing gaze they would find a bright gray intermixed with amber and fern. And one who saw her would have no doubt: with a strong, hardened spirit like hers she would not fail to reach her goal, for she was on a journey.

"And she wasn’t here without a reason. Her name was Laskan and she was a warrior, come to these mountains to search for a companion. She had heard tales of the things found in these forests, covering the mountain range like coats of velveteen emerald. Wild deer with antlers larger than moose; bears that were so ferocious they would rampage and kill as soon as look at you; packs of wolves that were so cunning and swift one would never know they were there until they were gone. But the thing that drew her here, this warrior maiden who never shipped with superstition, who was as intense and lightning quick as the first storm of summer, who had the amazing endurance to outlast anything or die, the thing that drew her here were the whispers of dragons. Dragons, with their fiery eyes and fierce scales, powerful wings and the mysterious runes adorning a lithe shoulder. Rune dragons. Something for the fairy-tails of children.

"But when she came upon the egg, nestled between the roots of a great, towering oak, nothing could have prepared her for that moment. It was like nothing she could have imagined. She startled upon seeing it, a single lissom movement sending her spinning away as a horse might shy from what could be dangerous, yet coming to her senses she returned to it and couldn’t help but stare. The fingers that tightened around the wire-gilded hilt of her sword relaxed as she unconsciously let her guard down; her shining eyes fell upon the shimmering smooth emerald surface of what could only be a dragon egg, and wondered. The light seemed to darken and intensify around the egg, nestled so snug in the crook of the roots, and tiny ethereal lights blinked and sparkled, though it might have been a figment of the imagination. A dark mark, what she knew could only be the rune, was melded into the shimmering, flawless surface, but partially hidden by a thick leather strap, belted around the egg as if to safeguard it. Without thinking she reached forward to touch it, drawn by the fierce, compelling beauty, and in the instant her fingertips met the smooth fern surface a great pressure compressed her mind, a fiery sentience that could only be the sleeping dragon. In that moment, she received it into her consciousness, she took it into herself and perceived this great creature. Tentatively she felt cautious tendrils of its mind touch her, trying to understand each other, and she didn’t stop to wonder that this was even happening. For it was in that moment, a single burst of clarity and fate brought them together. Brought them to understanding, understanding each other. And they were forever connected. Her life was irrevocably changed, and she would never be the same. For she had a companion now, and they would be inseparable. And she welcomed this change. It was right."

Heres my story of the day I met my best friend. Yes I am a wolf, my name is forest. I have dark fur with dark accents and I love dark, kinda gothy emo accesories. Most people look at me and judge my but this egg, obviously didnt. I was walking with my mate, Ernie, when I found this egg. Small, bright, its design so unlike my personality. I dont know what it was about it but i fell in love. Of corse from the begining I faced problems. I couldnt pick it up in my teeth, I didnt know if it had a mother somewhere, and of corse Ernie was... hesatant about it. But alas I loved it so I eventually got it on my back and carried it back to our den. That night we had a severe thunder storm and I was suprised and extreamly thrilled to fint that the egg was safe and well, not a scratch. That moment I named it Thor, after the thunder god. I still love this little egg and im more then excited for it to hatch. Yes, my story is pretty short and I dont have any flashing pictures or personality but as I said like 20 times, I love this little egg and I will never let him go. And thats my story, I wouldnt change a thing.
