thank you everyone for helping us find the sun (helios) !! <3

for those of you who started looking at ethereal reflections, took the sprite path at a slow, steady and thorough pace, and packed sweet apples and a map, those were the right combinations of answers and you found helios in your search! c: image proof as well + a hint breakdown if anyone is interested !!



i do still need to verify and catch up on results, but winners will be revealed + posted whenever that’s sorted!

The mystical Angelquartz dons an reinvigorating smile as ae greets you, "Little star, welcome back! We finally have located Helios. Come, come- you must join me in bringing them back." Ae leaves you no time to react, leading you swiftly through the forest. Past dulling fae and looming trees, all the way until you reach what appears to be the very end of the forest. Otherwise known as: the Horizon.

"In there," the feline motions with aer ears towards a thin white sliver where the Horizon meets the forest edge. Without hesitation, you wander forward until you are bathed in a blinding veil of light. With squinted eyes, you continue forward, slowly adjusting to the radiance with every step. Until, a voice stops you in your tracks.

"Who are you?"

The large figure of a golden feline lays before you, bathed in a gilted pool. Long curls of silky fur rest effortlessly elegant atop their head. You find yourself entranced in its brilliance, blinded by the Sun's rays. However, in the golden reflection, you find an echo of the crumbling fae forest. A reminder of your purpose here, and the importance of this moment. And so, you explain your story to Helios. Hoping that somehow, someway, you'll say the right thing to convince them to return.

And yet. Despite your best efforts, the feline gives you a dismissive wave of their golden paw. "Enough, you. Why I left is my business and I won't be returning. So save your breath." A sinking feeling settles at the bottom of your stomach. Helios won't make this easy.
