as someone who owns his own cafe in the rural town he resides in, logan is incredibly biased when it comes to food. despite the fact he'll eat anything other kalons give him and will be grateful for it, as someone who's always learned that a hot meal is extremely valuable (especially since he used to get by purely by scavenging for whatever food he could find), he has his preferences and those are reflected by what he makes and serves.

the quaint little wooden cabin's menu is filled with home-cooked classics, often with a unique twist, such as an ingredient found only in his hometown for a touch of nostalgia or something otherwise unexpected. he's gotten into several in-depth conversations with travellers visiting the cafe looking to fill their bellies with a new food combination, or even the locals in the town who have become regulars. during more than one of these conversations, he's been asked his own opinion on the meals he cooks and which of them is his favourite.

"haha, ya sure ya got time to hear about this one?" he would chuckle, beckoning to the visitor to sit on a stool in front of his counter as he leans in as if sharing a secret. "the best thing i could ever have is a good, hearty stew. ya gotta make sure it's filled with perfectly cooked meat until it's almost spillin' over the top of the bowl, then add in a good mixture of vegetables to flavour the broth." now, most would think that sounds fairly normal, but what he follows up with next usually rewards him with a shocked expression from whoever he's speaking to (or eagerness to try, depending on how adventurous the visitor is!)

"next, ya need somethin' sweet. no, not just a sprinkle of sugar, as sweet as you can go. pour in some maple syrup, maybe even soda if ya got some layin' around. make it overwhelmingly sweet, but not so much that ya can't taste the savoury flavours in there." a smile is on his muzzle when he shares that part, his 'secret ingredients', and other kalons can never tell if he's teasing or not.

either way, he seems very passionate about the strange combinations he can come up with!

She loves the hottest Nashville hot chicken average drizzled in honey and ranch dressing, with a side of Texas toast, handmade coleslaw, and orange slices. Normally, most of her diet is very strict and healthy so this is her cheat meal but man! Is it good! She likes stacking the chicken and slaw on top of the Texas toast and eating it like a sandwich (bones and all!). The bones add a little bit of crunch, according to her.

…Few others get it, though.

To wash it all down, she loves adding a root beer and some peanut butter cookies topped with strawberry preserves like a peanut butter jelly sandwich! The meal pairs so well with root beer’s sweet and fizzy kick! She knows how to make the best peanut butter cookies with browned butter and a tad of her home-canned organic strawberries with a pinch of sugar! A delight!
