> PROMPT | Arsenic sat down in her seat, patiently listening to the professor as he spoke. “Plan out an idea for my robot? I really do not know much about robotics. That is kind of why I registered for this class.” She mumbled, looking around the room as the other students began to scribble in their notebooks. “I would really just like to create something that functions properly. Is that okay to say?” Arsenic quietly asked herself. “Maybe something with a tail that can wag back and forth. I think that would be pretty cool.” Slowly but surely, Arsenic started to formulate a plan of action for her robot.

> PROMPT | Arsenic’s heart plummeted in her chest as other students began to introduce themselves. She despised being forced to speak in class. As the other students spoke, Arsenic tried to memorize her own introduction. The time finally came. “Time to get this over with…” She whispered, staring down at her desk. “Hello fellow robotics students.” She gave the class a slight wave. “My name is Arsenic. I decided to take this class because I wanted to prove to myself that I could create something from scratch. By taking this class, I know I am going to learn something new. I am looking forward to, hopefully, having a robot at the end of this semester. Do you think I could add that onto my résumé?”

(they look more like fellow students) Everyone seems to be introducing themselves, and when she walks forwards, everyone looks at her and expects her to talk. "oh! uhm... hello.. I'm Jawbreaker. I use She/They. " and when she doesn't say anything else, they look away and move onto the next person. This is going to be a long year.

She noticed an open table and sat down, seeing a stack of parchment paper and some pencils and markers and crayons there for the first day's project! You were supposed to come up with an idea for your robot, Shrimp sat and pondered for a moment. A robot? That was all that she had to go off of, no specifics on what it was for or what it should look like, complete free reign. After a bit of thinking Shrimp finally decided on a design and began to draw it out... she was going to make a robot HORSESHOE CRAB! (You thought she was gonna make a shrimp huh?) (139)

BluTune lazily ambled towards the front of the class for their turn to introduce themself, before sitting down. Already odd… they “cleared their throat”, resulting in a short burst of static sounding out, before their voicebox evened out its frequencies to let their electronic voice through.
“Hello, my name is BluTune… I go by they/xe/it pronouns, and have… a teeny, tiny case of narcolepsy… so if I fall asleep on you, please just give me a gentle nudge, and I’ll… be right up.” They yawned softly, stretching out their legs and arms, before settling back down.

“I joined this class to see if I can better manage my own repairs… as I noticed my attempts at fixing my voice box or eye lights aren’t always 100% successful… and it’s not the neatest work either. So maybe attending this class will help with that… and that’s… pretty much it. Nice to meet you all.”
They stretched and yawned one more time as they got up, before wandering back to their seat, and getting comfy back into their chair.

> PROMPT | …plan a robot? lime’s mind felt blank. he knew there were so many possibilities, but that’s the thing - he wasn’t sure what to do; he didn’t know where to start. the chicoon supposed he should at least do something, so he began writing down whatever came to his mind when he thought of the word ‘robot.’ perhaps he could make a robot resembling him that could walk.. but then the logistics began troubling him. how would the flame work? would the wings, tail, etc all move or just the legs?

lime barely knew a thing about robotics, but he kept telling himself he’d learn throughout the course. that’s what a class is all about, after all. ultimately, he decided upon starting with a chicoon — it didn’t have to look like him — that could only walk. should be simple enough, right?
