Chicoon: Neo
Prompt:

Day 1 [250/250 Words]
“Okay, slow down, Neo! Just let me adjust your scarf.”
As I tied the brightly colored scarf around their neck, Neo chirped in place, impatiently tapping at the ground. After days of staring out of windows, it had finally snowed outside. Neo came to excitedly wake me up, with all but a kick to the stomach. With Neo constantly nipping at my pants and whacking me with their tail, I finally budged.
With the scarf secure, I slid open the back doors. Neo practically flew out, pouncing head first into the snow. I chuckled, seeing only their tail and flame sticking out of the snow. Closing the door behind me, I walked up to Neo, looking down at them playfully.
“Hey, Neo?” I said, drawing out the ‘o’ sound.
Neo rolled around on their back, but glanced up to me at their name being called.
“Wanna make that snowman? Snow-Chicoon? Whatever you call it. I promised, didn’t I?”
Neo’s face lit up as they yipped and chirped. I dropped onto my knees, motioning for Neo to come over.
“First, we roll up some snow! Let’s start with the base.”
As I rolled up a bit of snow, Neo placed their hands on the mound. Moving slowly, we picked up snow into the mound, growing bigger and bigger. Soon Neo could only help roll the mound with their head, it growing too tall to push without standing on two legs.
Neo chirped at the sight of the start of their snowman!
