They inherited it from their… mom? Sister? Xandra doesn’t fully know, because the accidents that killed her family left her alive, but with little memories of the past. She spends all her time in the library, reading, eating, and sleeping there, trying to get some memory of the past.

Wands are like hermit crab shells, once a crab grows, the crab must have a bigger shell. With wands, that means once the magic user has grown in power or changed in someone, the wand changes as well. Imagine having the same wand you made when you were a child on the cusp of puberty, what did you really know about yourself at that age? Won't those interests change at such an impressionable age?

Anyways, a person grows and changes as they age due to the people around them so it's only fitting that they contribute something to the wand. Sometimes there is no one else to contribute but the spell will take anything regardless. Luckily, Keion received a piece of wood from each of her five siblings. Some were from their old wands and those who were too young to receive a wand went to the forest to find a piece of wood that resonated with them to gift. Keion carefully divided her old wand into pieces for future ceremonies but made sure to save a piece for her new wand. She also contributed her old orange carnelian stone and the braided tassel. When combined all together in a magic circle drawn in the soil, the wood grew and stretched into the shape of a cat to hold the stone and orange flowers from one of the branches dotted the wand. It really was a much larger wand, more of a staff really. Keion thinks it would be an excellent walking stick as well as a nice wand to channel more magic through.
