Prompt:
“Do you remember what your first memory was?”
"There's an official answer for that," mused Kore, her tail swaying gently behind her in thought. "My station on the island means I'm supposed to say my first memory was of the island itself. You know, typical high priestess tradition and what not." The dark heifer smiled, as if laughing at her own private joke. She adjusted her headpiece and, with a conspiratorial look, leaned forward to add, voice pitched soft, "But between you and me it's nothing nearly so dramatic."
She draw back with a chuckle, clearly delighted by the opportunity to shed her authority for the day and to just be a normal person. "Truly my earliest memory was very simple. I was laying in a soft bed, waking from a deep slumber. Light shone in from the windows and I was mesmerized by the way the dust glistened in it. I remember sitting there for what felt like hours, listening to the sound of my father singing, enamored with the little lights in the air."

Prompt number: 2
Prompt:
Minnie leaned forward and tenderly caressed the petal of the daisy. It was a simple flower, but one she admired nonetheless. Seeing the flower reminded her of a treasured memory, worn at the corners.
It was a cool August night. The sky was clear, and Minnie was merely a small calf excited to see space. Her mother carefully helped her align the telescope with the sky. Minnie was so excited she was practically tripping over her own hooves when she hobbled toward the device. Pressing her eye against the eyepiece, Minnie gasped with astonishment. The Andromeda galaxy, as her mother had told her it was called, seemed to unfurl like a new flower on the first day of spring. Tiny stars scattered over the burst of color and light that the galaxy was. She pulled her head back and squinted up at the sky. Minnie leaned onto her mother's side, still gazing up at the black sheets of space. Who knew the darkness could hold so much light? [168]

Twig’s attention immediately brings itself back to the present, “oh my, you want to know what my earliest memory is. Well let me think, that was quite a long time ago you know,” she says through a friendly grin. “Hmm let’s see,” she smiled fondly, “the earliest memory I can remember is the first family trip I ever took. I was a calf just about your age back then, but I remember that day vividly. The sky was a bright blue that was only interrupted by the occasional fluffy cloud. My family was making a trek from our barn to the swimming hole that was just past the grove of fruit trees. I remember being full of excitement to go on my first adventure, as I’d never been allowed to go into the orchard before, and let me tell you, the land full of fruit trees did not disappoint. But, those trees had nothing on the watering hole. My family got to the small body of water and the air was immediately filled with the hum of anticipation. My siblings and I couldn’t wait to jump into the water and feel the refreshing cool of it after our long hike. The reward was well worth the work we put in to get there.” Twig paused and looked at the small calf, “anyways, are you excited to go hunt for some eggs?”

Prompt:
As Herbie said goodbye to his new friends, he started to trot off back towards the egg hunting area. On his way, he got distracted by some flowers growing that some eggs were hidden within. He changed his course yet again to head over to give the beautiful flowers a sniff.
As he admired the flowers, he remembered when he was younger his mother would show him around the community garden on the Buttermilk Babies property. She didn’t know much about the flowers and foliage around her in terms of facts, but she was wonderful at weaving stories instead. Herbert loved his mother so much, and he always believed every word she told him, even if it was part of their make believe games. It allowed Herbert to see the world around him with a little more wonder. It let his imagination thrive, and it created a place within the property for him to go to and play even if he was by himself and still have some fun.

Barn postPrompt number: 1 (hhghg sorry its a little late for the first day!)
Prompt:
Triton chews on his lip as he contemplates even wanting to remember his memory. However, it still flashes deep in his mind and he shuts his eyes as he settles on giving in to his thoughts. The sunlight burns bright above him as he runs around a vast few acres of fresh soil. He hears laughter so bright it almost outshines the sun. He turns and watches his parents playing with each other as if they were little kids as well, wrestling each other down onto the grassy portion of the yard, yelping, and hollering in fake pain. Triton feels himself smile and he thinks about sitting down to watch them but a distant bought of crying starts coming from the barn.
"I've got it!", he called to his parents and raced toward the barn without stopping to hear their reply. Soon he was bursting through the doors and searching for his baby sister. "Are you getting yourself into trouble again? How many times do we have to tell you to leave the cats alone or they'll scratch you?" The girl sniffled and wiped at the tears coming from her eyes, scratch marks covering her cheek. Triton knelt down and hugged the girl tightly, rubbing small circles of her back to calm her down.
"It's alright but you've got to learn to listen. You'll get into a lot more trouble than just with the cats." The girl nodded her head the bought of curly blonde hair setting the two of them apart. He stood and ruffled the curls playfully and watched as she pulled herself together. "Ok now....tag you're it!"
He tapped her lightly and ran out of the barn giggling, knowing that she'd soon get fast enough to actually catch him.

"My first memory? Oh, that's EASY! I will admit I don't remember a lot of early memories, but this one always sticks out to me. I'd been begging and begging for weeks to be allowed to go to this festival that Bianca always talked about. Looking back I'm realizing my mum just wanted me to be on my best behavior for a while, there was never any reason for me not to go. Anyway, Bianca hung out with me a lot. There were no other calves my age, and things got lonely, y'know? I think she understood that, growing up an orphan at all." She blushed, looking down. "I uh- hope that wasn't sharing, I didn't mean to share her business. I don't think she minds much. Anyway, she took me up to the top of a grassy hill later that night, and we watched the stars. I'd never really thought to look up until then, and when I did, it was so beautiful. I watched the stars until I fell asleep."

Prompt:
“Instead, you uncover a flower with intricate petals. The sight of the flower flashes you back to a long-forgotten memory. What is it?”
Kore was young again. Small, head barely up to her mother's shoulder, and legs still a little gangly and unsure. Even back then she'd been pretty, though, a copy of her mother, through and through. Even at this stage, she'd already started her training, although she hadn't quite understood what that meant at the time. By now she'd walked every inch of the island that would one day be hers to protect. Every inch, except one.
Today was the day she would finally be allowed to tackle the volcano. It was not an easy journey to the temple at the top, but it was one that she would need to make frequently throughout her life, and finally she had been authorized for her very worst one. With supervision, of course. She had followed her mother at her heals, eager to have new land to familiarize herself with, but by now she'd grown weary. By the time she'd made it to the top she could scarcely gather the energy to explore the temple itself and had only just managed to pluck a flower growing near the rim of the volcano, before settling in for a long nap within the temple.

Prompt number: 1
Prompt:
"My first memory? Well," Chai started, talking slowly as she tried to think about the question. Admittedly, it caught her off gaurd, and she felt a little bit of pressure to answer quickly - which only made her draw a blank. "Uhh... well I don't think..." she let her voice trail off and looked around, unsure of what to say. Then, suddenly, a memory came to her.
Two figures – one much larger than the other – lay, sprawled out across a blanket in the middle of an empty field while they stared up at the sky. Every now and then, one of them would point up at the sky.
“Momma, how come you know so much about stars?” the young girl asked, staring wide-eyed up at her mother.
She chuckled and tucked the girl’s hair behind her ear, “Well, Little One, it’s because my father taught me…” she gave a soft, warm smile, “And now I’m teaching you, little Chai... because you're my north star, the thing that keeps me from getting lost.”

AbbyPrompt number: one
Prompt:
Abby smiles quietly to herself as she suddenly recalls her earliest memory of herself- the first time her bleary little eyes had opened to see the sun shining and how awfully excited she'd been to touch and feel the grass, to romp through it with the other calves- oh it seemed so much fun for the older calves to be running about, playing with each other, chasing each other- she remembers watching them first. So yes- she recalled her first memory so vividly. Of how the sun shone and warmed her fur, how she seemed to be able to stumble through the grass so easily within the next couple minutes- how she could stay by her mother's side and enjoy her love and yet still explore her new world. It was a bit fuzzy perhaps- a long time ago now, but it was... memorable to say the least and there wasn't any other way Abby would have wanted it. [154 words]

AriaPrompt number: 2
Prompt: (271 words)
Aria paused. Taking a brief moment to look at the flower bush that stood in her tracks. A vine from the push had grown out, almost as if it was reaching towards Aria. On the vine were the fuchsia pink flowers that had Aria locked in a trance. It was the Bleeding Heart flower. Memories came rushing back to Aria.
Back when she was a calf, other calves would use this flower as a sign to confess their affection for another calf. One would pick a vine off the bush, run up towards the other calf and give it to them. It was adorable and even though it was just a puppy crush, the gesture was usually warmly welcomed. Aria had seen it a few times with the other calves in her herd and she was always a bit shy. However, on a particular day, she was grazing with the other calves when one of the bull calf walked over to Aria, a Bleeding heart vine in his mouth and just placed it on the ground at her feet before quickly walking off. Aria was shocked, so were the friends she was grazing with. That was definitely one way to confess. Aria smiled. It was the first time she had received it and she decided to return the favor. She trotted off towards the nearby bush, gently plucking off another vine and heading over to the bull that was still a nervous wreck.
Aria approached the bull and delicately hung the vine on his then growing horn stubs. The bull was flushed. Aria just smiled and walked off to continue grazing.
