She was on her way to popularity herself! However, she soon realized that being Bella's "best friend" didn't mean being her equal, but being her minion. The initial grueling work to get here was only the beginning. Liatris, sad and frustrated, tossed the trophy and stopped interacting with Bella. The trophy wasn't wasted, however. "That was quite a performance." Marie said, her nose wrinkling in a trying-not-to-laugh sort of way. When she'd decided to host an open mic night at her small downtown cafe, this was certainly not what she'd expected.

"I know I'm not the best at singing," Silas said, smiling sheepishly. "But I still had a lot of fun- and it was my son's favorite song. Thanks for, uh. Not booing me off the stage."

Joris has never been easily motivated. He isn't lazy, but when it's snowing and cold he would rather stay in bed than finally clean his garage. If he can put it off another day, he would rather not make that important phone call.
Eventually, Joris got tired of putting things off, and set up a reward system for himself, consisting mostly of baked goods. This cinnamon apple muffin from the bakery down the street, for example, is how he rewarded himself for organising his desk. It may seem like a small thing, but sometimes you just have to reward yourself.
