"Huh? What I'm going to do?" He turned his gaze upon your question, distracted from what he is doing right now. "But first can I ask ya', why ya' want to know that?" Tulka's voice fell deeper, you could see his big smirk spread on his face as you could tell that he is threatening you. All of a sudden he laughs loudly and pats on one of your shoulders. "Just kiddin'! Don't be that scared of me, I won't bite ya'!" Tulka finally calms himself then cleared his throat. "Well instead of trick and treating, I'll go ghost hunting! Not sure if I'm going to do that alone but I'll be sure to take a photo or more if I found some! I'm going to use what resemble me--or rather my pelt, skeleton suit! I have a canine skull mask to pair it with." He sure is an energetic kalon, no matter how mysterious he truly is. You asked him if he is afraid or not to do so. "What? Do ya' think I'm going to scream like a girl if they jumpscare me? There is only me who jumpscares them!" Tulka laughs once more, taking pride in what he said. "Ya' can come with me if ya' want, I don't mind at all." You are surprised when he offered you to come by him, not sure if you could or not. "Then let me know if ya' have decided that. And don't worry! I'll protect you if the ghosts ever show up! See ya' later!" Tulka waves his paw then walk away. The last thing you remember is his bright grin of farewell.

prompt;; this night only came once a year, and it passed
too soon each time. yet, these certain nights were so brilliant enough
to (mostly) hold them over for the entirety of the accompanying year -
enough to at least allow them to continue practicing other endeavors.
however, this particular one was always favored. on this holiday, they
still kept to themselves as they usually did, not partaking in any
traditional halloween activities or festivals; but their spirits were still
perhaps the most joyous.

at first, they weren't sure what to transform the feline into; jabarae
was lost due to it's vibrant orange coat. caitrine suggested another
skeleton fusion, the plan he returned to whenever they were this
indecisive; but they had three various ones, and another would be
too repetitive. finally, after some more rejections, the perfect image
came into view - pumpkin! such a mix would be original for them,
and a perfect derivative from orange. the numerous formulas were
mixed, only some bottles broken in hasty excitement. the multicolored
fog from the bubbling liquids hung in a glittery haze, the atmosphere
more like of an enchanted forest than their grungy laboratory.

-- many hours passed. then, the cat's eyes opened and glowed a bright
yellow, half of her body now combined with pumpkin shell, a small
stem growing atop her head. the fusion was successful! she breathed
out a small flame - an extra trait they hadn't expected! and she was
still a happy, otherwise normal creature, running to play with the other
monster cats, their creations they adored. and the duo were grateful
to receive love in return (as much as cats usually show their affectation).

Halloween was always a great time for Pierre, but unlike many candies and costumes weren’t their main attraction to the holiday. What they are is a trickster, pulling tricks upon unsuspecting kalons and watching them react to it. No prank is ever too complex, and Pierre has the skills to make even the most stoic kalon jump with elaborate scares and magic tricks. Because of those skills, they are often found at many Halloween attractions. From haunted houses to performing close-up magic tricks, Pierre enjoys the attention that they are getting, along with seeing some kalons trying to figure out what they did with others remarking how convincing their scares were. Halloween always allowed Pierre’s passion for pranks and magic tricks to shine, as any other day they wouldn’t have the chance to. The candy and costumes were just a bonus to them.

What most are unaware of is that Pierre’s tricks actually does constitute a bit of illusionary power to enhance them. While rarely using it outside of Halloween night, they find that a bit of magic could take it to the next level along with some planning and effort. More than anything, it’s the spooky part of Halloween Pierre enjoys the most out of the holiday.

Despite Pierre’s love for pulling pranks on other kalons, all of it is just in good fun and a way for them to enhance the night. Simply put, Halloween is when the Illusionist comes out to play...

"...what is that, taika?"
"huh? what does it look like?" taika and his friend, kyda, were getting ready for the annual halloween costume party. they had to look good, too—there was going to be a "best costume" contest, and of course they had to win!
taika knit his brows in confusion, spinning in a circle for his friend. upon coming to a halt and noticing kyda's perplexed expression, he plopped onto his haunches with a grunt, obviously not enthused. "you really don't know?" kyda was quiet for a moment, seemingly lost in thought as she stared between taika's ears, before she shook her head dejectedly.
"nnnnope! not a clue. a demonic scoop of ice cream?" she reached over to prod at the other's lame costume, heaving a disappointed sigh. "if so, you could've done so much better. what a shame." at her half-hearted teasing, taika clicked his tongue, batting her paw away from his masterpiece. how could she not know what his costume was?! it was clear as day!
...well, at least to him it was.
"you furbrain, I'm a bubble! I'm awesome!" taika shouted with pride, leaping onto his feet and puffing his chest out. indeed, he was a "bubble": he'd used an uncanny amount of plastic bags to stitch together a large sphere, in which he cut holes in for his head, legs, and tail (which was currently wagging like there was no tomorrow). taika felt like he could float away, being the beautiful bubble that he was!
"oh, no," kyda shook her head, this time out of dismay. "we're doomed."
