Username: Breado
Kalon Name: Chirik
What are they hunting?:The cozy little house in the middle of the forest looked almost inviting, had it not been littered with fairy traps and also housed the villain he came to defeat.
Berach’s attempt on sneaking in failed and now he was standing face to face with a stranger.
“Y-You’re Crow, right?” he asked.
“If that’s what they’re calling me now… A new name every week.” grumbled the kalon before him. “And you’re the one they sent to get rid of me, huh?”
For a moment, Berach forgot how to breath. He swallowed. “Yeah. A-And you’re not gonna get away from- f-from-”
The young kalon trailed off. Taking a step back was all he could do before his body froze as he saw the one he came to defeat start coming closer.
The black kalon observed him, huffing as he took in all the details of the younger one. Shaking and basically helpless. Just like most of the others.
“Relax, kid. I won’t hurt you.” he said. “You’re no fighter either, eh?”
Berach flinched. “E-Either?” he said. “What do you-”
“Them damned fairies keep bringing here youth like you. They make you think I’m the bad guy for trying to get rid of them for what they’re doing. You’re lucky you even got this far, kid.”
Now he was dumbfounded. It was maybe a week ago since Berach had fallen into this weird place and was told he was “the chosen one”. They were fairies! And fairies can’t be bad… Right?
He just stared at the kalon with a suspicious expression on his face.
“How do I know you’re not lying?”
‘Good.’ the kalon thought. He was breaking the ice.
He made sure he sounded as calm as possible despite being furious at those little magical troublemakers.
“Because for one,” he explained, “Real fairies are unreliable jerks. They tricked me too and took what- who I valued the most and stuck me in this place. And also; my name is not whatever they came up with. It’s Chirik.”
A moment of silence followed.
Finally, Chirik broke the silence with a heavy sigh.
“Just… Let me explain everything. In the meantime, would you like some tea?”
