prompt 1. The deep color swirled around the paper, the kalon’s paw closed tightly around the crayon. Every now and again he’d drop that particular color and swap it for a different shade of it. The hues mingled together, the center of the page growing dark and detailed. The music in his earbuds blasted loud enough for someone beside him to hear;

“I was painting a picture; the picture was a painting of you.”

Finally finished, he sat back examining the piece. Swirling blue lines lashed out starkly across the page, creating the image of a face with dripping eyes, and a devilish smile.
