”Mommy had gotten this sword from daddy, who was a great swordsmith. Travellers all around wanted to buy his handcrafted sword. It was a special gift to me that i really treasure, and it gave me courage and bravery to protect the people.”

Louella was born into a family whose mom was a well-respected swordswoman and a father who was a famous swordsmith. Unfortunately, she had never seen her dad because he passed away before she was born.
As her mom was a swordswoman, Louella always loved to see her mom training to use different swords and she had always looked up to her mom as she had a strong sense of justice and bravery. Louella had tried to train to be a swordswoman like her mom, but she did not have bravery as strong as hers, and her sword skills were mediocre. This caused her to lose motivation and instead, turned her focus on the swords.
Unfortunately, she was not able to see her father as he passed away before she was born, but she had always heard words of praise from travellers that said her father was one of the best swordsmiths. Hearing this was enogh motivation to make her try to craft her own sword. She was not able to see her father’s skills but her father had left books that talked about the problems he had and how did he fixed them and how to craft swords. She had studied and tried her best to craft swords, and her efforts weren’t futile.
Travellers had now come to her to buy swords, and she is gaining a lot of fame and respect. This made Louella so happy as sword making was something that she really enjoyed, and she also enjoyed seeing the happy looks of the travellers who loved her swords, and talked about their adventures with her. She even is teaching and helping people with making swords.

Alongside this, Versace is known as a "Witch doctor" among his building. If anyone in the vicinity has any sort of ailment, they go to him for natural remedies! it's something he'd been doing since he was small, waking up before dawn and driving out hours to get to each lake. his father would plop a fishing rod in his hand, sitting him down in a tiny rowboat, rowing out to the middle of the lake, where you couldnt tell how deep the bottom was.

heathcliff is older now, living alone by the lake he frequented as a child. he keeps the same traditions, waking up early in the morning and making his way out to still waters, the sound of wind blowing gently over the water and birds beginning to wake and call out from the trees. he pushes off from the shore in his boat,

just after the sun rises, when the sky’s apricot tones are replaced by a soft purple-y blue, heathcliff pulls out his fishing rod; seven feet long, a dark forest green in color. his favorite lure is on the end, the shape of a minnow that he whittled himself.

it’s not necessarily the catching fish that drew him in, but rather the head-first immersion in nature that’s rarely ever achieved. he loved watching clouds pass over the sky, watch the ospreys swoop down for their morning catch, watching the vague, silvery forms of fish pass through water beneath him. he likes the way it levels his head, calms him down and leaves him alone without distraction. he likes the boat's steady, constant rock against the lake's currents, he likes that he's left wordless for the entirety of the morning, nothing but a thermos of hot tea and a sandwich by his side.

this is what heathcliff needs. he's not a man who needs very much; with those quiet mornings out of the lake, rod in hand, he's set.

mabli's favourite pastime is also their job: rock sprite breeder & herder.

it’s a job that lies in their family and had been destined to be their heritage from birth.
it’s a very respectable job and only takes an apprentice every few decades. the farm they built
by hand and the rocks they raised themselves are their pride and joy, and they can’t imagine
any better way to spend their daily life. it’s anything but boring - there’s new challenges to
work through for each rock sprite that eventually gets bought or adopted by nearby or faraway
kingdoms and big households! they pride themselves in their expertise, and hope to take an
apprentice once they finalise their own path of learning. while their job only encompasses
very few hours of their day to tend to the herd, their free time is also spent with the rock
sprites ( especially reading them the nightly bedtime story is one of their favourites! ).
