the punky lesbian equivalent of a bad boy, krista's one for all kinds of trouble. naturally charismatic and a troublemaker, she's got no respect for rules or laws— not even nature's. she's had a bit of an, uh, accident at some point. came very close to death in a necromancy attempt, but it's all good! she's got a few grimoires under her belt. narcissistic and over-confident, she has a habit of biting off more than she can chew, but hey— as long as it nets her a date, it's all worth it.

knife edge sharp; skin breaks, blood flows. kris drags her finger across the pavement of an abandoned parking lot, etching runes into her magic circle. in her other hand, she's got her phone, thumb texting her bestie about that party she said she'd attend about two weeks ago— before she remembered it was the exact same day as... well. this. it's hard to party when your body's falling apart at random—

—aaaand there goes her phone. and her entire right arm with it. on the ground, her phone buzzes again with a stream of texts. kris groans. if she wanted to get this done before the party, she'd need a hand. pun intended.

bad puns, limbs falling off— this was the price to pay for a second life. still, decent bargain. as long as she remembered to complete this ritual once a year, she's set. besides, she had things to do, people to meet— and someone to impress at the party.

if she'd make it in time, that is. from where she stands, she sees a big ol' YOURE LATE !!!!! pop up across her phone screen. just as the clouds finally part above her. kris steps back, kicking her phone away from the circle. moonlight pours into each rune, power thrumming through the air. finally, she steps into the ring—

—and with her new right hand, she picks up her phone.

Personality (max 100 words): pac is a cool girl, atleast thats what she thinks. she has these thoughts of how things should be done that are completely bizarre. most people just roll their eyes and laugh as she smirks with pride at her so called 'wonderful' idea. pac is still a nice person hidden behind all the sass, as she is strong-willed and hardworking even if it doesn't follow her ideas of how society should be.
Make up an excuse! (max 250 words) pac sauntered around her house, looking around for her other shoe. she was already late for this party, but she wanted it to be that way. the lopsidedness of her walking started to make her weary, so she took off the shoe and huffed. but finally she picked another pair, with two shoes readily available this time.

as she walked up to the door she looked around and crossed her arms, plastic cups littered the yard. 'the party throwers must be avid party animals AND litter bugs' she thought with a frown. her friend slipped out of the door and threw his arms up, "what the hell dude! why're you so late?" he asked, crossing his arms looking the same as pac herself. "it's called being fashionably late sweetheart." she comments, rolling her eyes.

personality: peyton has a "so what" feeling towards anything other than punk rock music. if it's not her style, it doesn't matter. and that goes for people, too. if you're not considered decent in her opinion, then you shouldn't even be around her or she'll snap your neck. yeah, she's fairly aggressive, but that's the best part about being a punk rocker -- you don't have to care what people think unless they're your audience. although, punk isn't actually all that violent and wouldn't fight someone, but she's just got a large hatred towards the majority of things on earth. she doesn't need an excuse of course; punk didn't even show up.

all week, people had been asking her if she was going to the most popular party of her senior year in high school. hadn't it been clear to them that she wouldn't be showing up? she never made any promises. but there was one promise that she had kept.

peyton headed down the road, to the lead guitarist's house. the whole band, named "the deprived", had planned to meet there tonight to play songs in the garage. it was late, but there would still be some teenagers out, and hopefully most of them would appreciate their music.

by the time she got there, everyone was all set up, and the microphone was open just for her. the three boys greeted her, and she gave them a simple dip of her head before grabbing the mic. it was their time now -- this was their night and their street and their people.

the guitarist started up with his riffs, and the bassist followed up with his chords. the drummer came in soon after that with a fast pace, and after a few measures peyton came in with a strong and loud voice that echoed through the block. "i just wanna be your girl, kiss me boy! aching heart, aching heart, and it can't sit still!"

halfway through the song, a crowd had appeared; everyone was dancing and cheering. for once in her life, punk felt emotion -- joy and excitement. (249 words)
