She had said she would come back. That everything would be fine and we would be happy together like normal. But she lied. And that was the night she died. The night my soul was ripped from my chest and all I could do was wish I was dead. But now today it is the future. And as I sit by her grave and the harsh bitter wind slides against my skin I say goodbye to her. "Goodbye mom." I say as I die with my husband and children and grandchildren around me. Just as she should have died.

Where the peach trees grow and the flowers bloom
Where the water is clear and the fish are tasty
Where the sunset is gorgeous, as well as the sunrise
That is my home

Where the children laugh and scream and play
Where the adults chat by the fire
Where the seniors welcome their grandchildren
That is my home

Where the smell of smoke flows in the air
Where the butterflies flutter in the breeze
Where the oak trees provide shade on the warm days
That is my home

I travel for days, searching
For the meadow I played in as a kit
For the old wood cabin I lived in
I am looking for my home

It's something I hope to never displace.

You've courted adventure, romance, and mystery.
Unfortunately, too, you've had your fair share of misery.

I love how it somehow always ends up in beautiful disarray.

I wander from my course, please accept my apologies,
I seem to have fallen for all your contradicting qualities.

I've grown to regard your company as my solace.
