"a moving piece - i thoroughly enjoy the... creativity?"
cambridge smiled at the praise, taking a step foreward, ears foreward eagerly.
"as much as i'd love to, cambridge, i cannot put this piece in the show. not tonight." there it is.
always getting rejected, she thought to herself. was there a point in trying if it was all empty words being said?
nobody really liked her work, it all was just pity compliments, denying her poems access to the shows.
she understood though. she always did. nodding, she gave a small smile, thanked the director, and found herself out.
fastforward into adulthood, cambridge is proud to announce she has had several best selling novels,
poems in museums, and began a modelling career after being offered to model for a jewelry company,
with that soon escalating to clothing lines offering her positions.
sure, she had her doubts when she was younger. she was scared - scared that she'd never be relevant.
if she was being honest, she wasn't sure she liked being relevant.
being put on a pedestal, like she wasn't a person who didn't make mistakes.
she did; plenty. but that's how she got where she is,
and to those who call her 'lucky' to get where she is, need to know.
they need to know how hard she worked to get where she is,
that calling her lucky is erasing her hard work and dedication to
something she loves so so much.
