Prompt 1 - I'm Not A Fighter
{ 541 Words - Featuring Rhea & Li-Wei }

A journey is something you simply cannot pass up, especially when you're away another kalon is going to be helping you along the way. At least, this was Rhea's train of thought. She didn't know who would be accompanying her quite yet, she was going to be meeting them later today. She was prewarned it might be dangerous and she was really scared, but it's not often that you get invited to do such a thing as thing.

She actually wasn't sure what she should bring so naturally, her nurse instincts acted up. She grabbed a gigantic duffel bag from her 'storage room' and decided to stash everything she might need, if this would be so-called dangerous. Mainly medical supplies, including a first-aid kit for safety. She made sure to stash some money on there, but prayed nobody would steal it from her when she was going to be away and asleep.

Rhea didn't own any weapons, so she had no idea what she should bring. She decided to grab some small knives and toss them into her duffel bag. That was all that was going to go into her bag. She tossed it on her back and carried it off until she reached her destination, where Li-Wei was awaiting her.

    ---

"What do you think you're doing?" Hissed the unknown kalon, covered in armor from head to toe. "Rhea, right? Well you are a Rhea idiot. Sorry, now is not the time for puns. But you do know that this is a life or death situation, right? There's no time for messing around. Where's your weapons? Your armor?"

Rhea was shocked by the aggression of the other kalon, who she assumed to be Li-Wei. She didn't know he'd be such a jerk, but - wait wait wait. Hold on a minute. A life or death situation? What the hell? She decided to let out a little snort, thinking the guy was trying to fool her. "Yeah right, it can't be this serious. Besides, if we get in danger, I have medical supplies. And I know how to fix you up, I'm a nurse, so I mean I hope I know how to."

"A really idiotic nurse," Li turned rolled his eyes and turned around. He was genuinely getting annoyed with the girl, since he knew this was a two-man mission and if there were not two kalons, then it would never be a successful journey. "Journey may sound like a fun word to you, but it's just covering up how dangerous everything is. You need armor and weapons. If you're not going to take this seriously, I'll go on my own without you."

"I'm not a fighter," she sighed and walked around Li-Wei slowly, to make sure he was looking straight into her eyes. "If you can help me get some armor, I'll actually be a big help towards you. I have throwing knives, those are my weapons. Please just give me a chance and don't go on without me. You have a nurse on your hands. You know how rare this is? Come on, this can be solved. I'll buy it myself too, I have all the money we need."

"Okay, fine. Just follow me." He sighed, leading Rhea the way.
i've essentially quit when it comes to most cs things. i'll visit for events to gift away pets but that's about all. however, i may be on for adopts/etc.

current status: probably active.

Prompt 1
[1367/150] i am so very sorry omg

A monster hunter, a cop, and a grandmother. An odd band of Kalons, sure, but they all had one specific goal in mind. Find the source of the chaos, and bring peace back to the land of Kalokairi.
It had been Ness' idea. The young monster hunter had heard the tales of the strange creatures that brought such devastation upon the land. She was immediately intrigued, but knew that there was no way she could go on such a journey by herself. So, she enlisted the help of her good friend, Keone. A rookie cop, Ness was able to appeal to his sense of justice, and he eagerly agreed to join her.
The final issue that the young Kalons faced was navigating Kalokairi. Getting their would be easy enough; Ness' parents had many links to Kalons near and far who could help them get to their destination. But they needed someone who knew the lay of the land, someone with insider's knowledge.
This knowledge would come from an unlikely source. On the other side of the island that Ness called home, a curious old woman lived with her husband in an apple orchard mostly untouched by people. This was where Ness and Keone now stood, on the doorstep of the weather-worn wooden house, waiting impatiently after knocking on the heavy wooden door.
"Do you think she'll actually help us?" Keone asked, skepticism dripping from his words like thick liquid.
Ness sighed.
"We won't know if we don't try," she replied, glancing back up at the door. Muffled movement emanated from somewhere inside the house, and Ness found herself stiffening. She had been warned by her father that Bersaglio, the Kalon they were looking for, wasn't fond of the memories that mentions of Kalokairi brought forward. Would she send them away? They had already come so far.
The door suddenly opened, startling Ness out of her thoughts. Keone took a step back as the older green Kalon appeared in the doorway, brow furrowed as she looked over the two Kalons on her doorstep.
"Ness? What brings you out here, my dear?" Bersaglio asked, leaning against the door frame. Ness was surprised that the frame could still take the weight; with as cracked and aged as it was, it looked as though it would collapse if one looked at it the wrong way.
"We, um, we have some questions," Ness said, forcing herself to stand straight. "It's about Kalokairi."
Bersaglio's eyes darkened, and Ness saw Keone shoot her a worried look.
"What about Kalokairi?" Bersaglio challenged, standing straight herself.
"You've heard the rumours, about the demons, right?" Ness asked.
"What of it?" Bersaglio hissed, and Ness flinched. Anger was something that looked so alien on Bersaglio's face.
"I want to stop them," Ness replied, taking a breath to regain her confidence. "It isn't right that these Kalons are being tortured like this. We're capable of helping them, and it would be wrong of us to just stand aside idly and watch."
There was a moment of tense silence as Bersaglio thought over what Ness had just said. Ness could see the gears turning in the old Kalon's head, and she glanced at Keone, who only shrugged. After what felt like a lifetime, Bersaglio sighed.
"Fine, but you'd better come inside."
She ushered Ness and Keone into the old house, slamming the door behind them. They were led into the kitchen and gathered around the table. Bersaglio rested her hands on the table, leaning heavily against it as she let out another sigh.
"Kalokairi started out as a small town of Kalons, but quickly grew into a struggling kingdom. It's never really been a prosperous place; even by the time I left, the economy was still struggling. There were rumours that these troubles caused some...tension between the Kalons living there, though none of this has ever been confirmed. I heard about the monsters that have been plaguing the kingdom, and it wouldn't surprise me if it turned out to be someone with a grudge."
Ness listened intently, and from the corner of her eye, she could see Keone doing the same.
"So what do we do?" Ness asked, a small ball of excitement building up inside of her.
Bersaglio raised an eyebrow.
"If by 'we', you mean yourself and Keone here, you can start by preparing yourself for the trip. I can get you to Kalokairi, but I have no desire to stay with you once we arrive."
Ness hissed, earning a glare from the older Kalon.
"But we need someone who knows the area! We'll be no use to anyone if all we can do is wander around aimlessly. You need to come with us and help us navigate the place."
Bersaglio placed a hand on her forehead, and Ness thought she almost looked as though she were in pain. She glanced again at Keone, who this time was shaking his head.
"Well, I suppose someone should look after you," Bersaglio sighed. "You are still children, after all." She gave Ness a hard stare, and the young Kalon matched it easily.
"Fine, I will come with you. But don't expect me to fight with you; you're on your own for that."
Ness grinned.
"Thank you, oh, thank you, Bersaglio!" she cried, running around the table and embracing the older Kalon in a tight hug. "I promise this trip will be worth it. We'll be helping people, after all."
"Mhmm," Bersaglio replied, letting out another soft sigh as she ran a hand through her hair. Ness eventually let go, and Bersaglio turned to address her and Keone. "We'll need to take time to prepare. We're fighting demons, after all; do the two of you have weapons?"
Ness glanced at Keone, then gave Bersaglio a sheepish look.
"Well, you see...we never thought we'd actually make it this far," she said, following the sentence with a nervous laugh.
Bersaglio rolled her eyes.
"Of course," she muttered, padding away from the table. She disappeared into another room, leaving Ness and Keone to wait awkwardly in the kitchen.
"I can't believe she actually said yes," Keone said, eyes wide. "I thought for sure that she'd turn us away and tell our parents what we had planned."
Ness shrugged.
"It's her home country," she replied, gazing at the doorway that Bersaglio had disappeared into. "It would tear her apart not to help."
Keone simply nodded, falling silent as Bersaglio reentered the kitchen. She was carrying three long bundles, which she dumped unceremoniously on the table.
"Swords," she stated, bluntly. She unwrapped each one, laying it out onto the table. "They were forged in Kalokairi, so it's fitting that we'll be taking them." She paused, as though reliving some past memory. "As you probably know, many swords are named for their accomplishments. These three are no exceptions. This one here-" She pointed to the one on the right. "-is called Verminfate, named for slaying a giant rat beast in the mountains. This middle one is called Balaraw, for it slay a mighty lake monster. And this last one, this is Godsbane. This sword was passed down from a prince to his servant, who used it to slay a dragon."
"No way..." Keone trailed off, and Ness could see his eyes shining as he looked over the swords.
"Did they really do all of these things?" Ness asked, glancing between the swords and Bersaglio.
The older Kalon nodded.
"They were given to me as gifts after I left. Well, except for Verminfate; that one's always been mine," she explained, and Ness swore she saw a small smile creep over the Kalon's face.
"Right, take one each," Bersaglio instructed. Ness took the sword Balaraw, and Keone, took the sword Godsbane. The sword was heavier than Ness had expected, and she hit to catch herself to avoid slamming the tip of the blade into the kitchen floor.
Bersaglio sheathed her own sword, glanced out the window of the kitchen, then turned back to Keone and Ness.
"Let us be off," she said, leading the two Kalons out of the door.
As the door closed behind them and the world spread out in front of them, Ness felt that familiar rush of excitement that came with setting out on any adventure. She threw one last glance back at her island behind her, then followed Bersaglio and Keone onto the boat as they set off to Kalokairi. What fate awaited them? Ness couldn't say for sure.

Prompt 1 : Writing

Told from the perspective of Camille-

I stared at the somewhat broken mirror, my expression solid and cold. My lodgings were a rather small dormitory, connected to a mediocre kitchen. It wasn't much, but it was home. But would I miss it for next few weeks? Not at all. I longed for adventure, a change in my life to make me feel important. This was what I was waiting or, dreaming about. A journey that could make me a hero.I wanted to of it alone, be some kind of "Lone Wolf", but that was suicide. I didn't, nor anyone else, know exactly what we were up against. But I yearned for glory, and so I would venture to find the Wind Element Crystal. But, I would have partners. I wasn't happy about the prospect of sharing the title, but they were my friends. I trusted them, and perhaps it was better this way to be in it together.
I knew I would be meeting Dominque and Finn soon enough, we were expected to arrive at Kalokairi within the hour. I hadn't even started packing yet, besides unzipping a small brown backpack. I was stuck on what I would need to bring, and what was necessary, and most importantly, what I had to actually bring. I did have a flashlight, in case of power outages. I stuffed that in the bag, but then took it out. I wanted to save space, so I placed in the side pocket designated for a water bottle. There was one on each side, anyway, so it wouldn't matter. THEN, I found an empty canteen and put it in the adjacent mesh pocket. The water situation was taken care of, but what about food? Should I bring some, or would we buy it at Kalokairi? Unsure, I found some protein and granola bars, and an apple to pack. Then, hesitantly, I placed some canned goods. I would leave it to the rest of my team to cover edible essentials. There still was a lot f space left empty in my bag, but it was soon to be swelling up my my blanket and bed mat. everything that I required seemed to be covered, no extravaganza seemed to be needed. I shrugged the bag over my right shoulder, took one last glance in the cracked mirror. My features were distorted, estranged. I scowled at the mirror, and on impulse grabbed one of the stars just barley staying in, and hurled at the floorboards. Watching it shatter helped me blow of some steam, and made me feel ultimately much more better. I really hadn't been myself lately, ever since I made plan to depart Kalokairi. Strange.
I pushed the door open and left, without looking back.

Sheiran packs for the journey// Prompt; 1

Sheiran's frown was hidden by the cloth that covered his solemn face. Of course, it this time of year.
He brushed by many layers of folded clothes, throwing asides the ones he did not desire to pack. Of course, Sheiran was feisty as always, but even more so now. More. Work.
"This stupid," He paused, looking into his cracked mirror, " 'Quest' " he mocked moving over to the corner of his old room.
He pulled open a draw and all of his anger was stopped short.
A picture of him and his mother when they where kids, of course, playing cops and robbers.
He picked up the smaller frame in his paw and gently rubbed his finger over the glass, clearing it of the dust.
With a grumble he placed the picture in a cloth and wrapped it- putting it gently in the side pocket of his bag.
He continued to pack - this time without all of the frustrated grumble and the fiasco of throwing stuff everywhere.
After a glance around his completely hectic room he gave a slight nod.
He was ready.
Swinging his now heavy pack over his shoulder he looked towards the door.
Of course , his mind blanked. He had forgotten something.
He rushed over to the pantry - desperately searching for a non perishable food item to pack , he could find something else to eat along the road, but his little cottage was a decent measure away from the nearest food place. After scrambling through his pantry he found something - two small cans of pre-cooked green beans and tuna.
He sighed, while looking at the infamous travel meal.
With that he sighed and walked out the door.

i . prompt 1: aka harvey is v tired & is not v confident in her writing
      ( kals: shiloh & valley - 696 words or smthn aa i'm tired )

with the recent attacks of kalokairi, the summer sky; it's warmth slowly turning into a dark haze, shiloh had been feeling slightly ill & moreover, quite downcast. he'd been putting down his books of magical spells & taking trips around the village desperately looking for something. something, maybe it was the end of the attacks, kalokairi returning to normal from some blessing, & the summer solstice celebration continuing. his pessimistic heart knew it would never be the case though.

shiloh had never often visited the diner, a place full of loud voices & sounds, much like a houseparty with french fries, milkshakes & cola. but the changes in town caused a change in his heart, where that heart sunk a little too deep into his chest & got caught up in his throat all at the same time while he bit his tongue. he'd also felt some jealousy for the kalons who kept their hearts joyful, dancing together, really, he couldn't understand it.

hair dyed & bleached a few times, plaid jacket & toothpick in his teeth; that would be valley, the embodiment of what shiloh couldn't understand. laughing against the table, talking to strangers. " 'course i know about the kalons going to save kalokairi. i'm going to be one of them, sir. "

      " aren't you a little young to be ━ "
" nah, " valley ran his hands through his cotton-candy hair that was falling down his shoulders, maybe a little too quick to answer shiloh's quiet, not really looking for an answer, question. " if adults like you ain't even gonna try, why shouldn't i ? " he was about seventeen, he had a slight build, & from assumption he likely wasn't very strong. probably not your first pick to be in the army to say the least.

" well, how are you going to do it ? " shiloh took a seat next to the kid, he wasn't very interested, but didn't really have anything else to do. eyeing over the menu in front of him, it actually wasn't all french fries, milkshakes & cola like he remembered. more of sorry, but we have water. it had been a while since he'd visited the place. " i'm leavin' tonight. just myself, but hey ━ i've got an idea, why don't you come with me ? "

      ───────────────────

few hours had passed, shiloh had returned home to gather a few things. & he'd said yes. on the way he'd found out quite a few things from the talkative kid valley. most not important, but he'd found out valley was only really doing this for fun, & found out he kind of actually enjoyed valley's company, despite that fact returning to his house was only a humble visit because valley continued to pull on his cape excitedly stating, " we hav'ta go soon shiloh ! we can't wait any longer for this, " while at the same time he looked through shiloh's magic cards & poems with intrigue.

after moments of looking through the dusty closet, shiloh had found his old magic bubble wand. he felt a little bitter looking at it again, he hadn't used it for a long while after the attacks in kalokairi began. before everything, he could remember using it for tricks at kits' birthday parties, for pretty nights with friends & to have little shows filled with purple-tinted glistening bubbles in the sky. he rested against it involved in memories.

valley had finally caught onto the glumness valley was feeling. he was quiet too, for a moment, pulling out a pocket knife & lighter, probably comparing it to shiloh's magic wand, which he was slightly admiring. he laughed, a little less full of enthusiasm, " these are kind of dumb compared to what you have. " valley wasn't taking anything else, just what was on him at the time & his tired eyes that were looking out the window to the vaguely setting sky. shiloh smiled a little, slightly, too, he decided whatever they brought, shiloh was ready to make memories of all sorts & sleep under broad adventures with a stranger that had the stars in his teeth he lacked.

breaking news! - kingdom of kalokairi overtaken by dark forces, brave kalons needed to save it!

i felt a frown forming across my face as the television blared the news. just a few days ago, it was announced that the kingdom would be celebrating the summer solstice. i stopped eating my cereal as i continued listening to this rather strange news.

just before the young kingdom's first summer solstice celebration, a hostile race of creatures began to invade the country. the demons are ripping away the energy of it's inhabitants for unknown reasons. as such, the country has released a call for help, seeking strong, brave kalons to gather the five crystals and destroy these heartless creatures for good.

a frown formed into a worried face. those poor kalons! i thought. first a depression, and now this!
..you know, perhaps i should go help. get away from my endless toils at the library, finally go do something for once. after all, i had taken a side course on spells for healing. i still have my wand and book from that class, if they still work i could possibly join as a mage? maybe then i could make some friends...

it was decided. i would be traveling to kalokairi as a mage specialized in healing. i would finally leave this boring suburb for the adventure of a lifetime. i needed to pack first, though, but what to bring? would food be supplied? what about water and shelter? i eventually decided on 3 cans of corn, one small container of vitamin supplements, 2 bottled waters, a sleeping bag, the book and wand, and 2 pairs of clothes. i was about to leave, then decided to bring a writing pad, and 3 ballpoint pens. after all, this experience was once in a lifetime and i would hate to not document what i did and thought. nothing else was needed. after a quick google search, i set off on a mission to save the innocent inhabitants of kalokairi.
just as i was about to leave, i suddenly remembered one last thing i had forgotton. armor! i didn't own any though, unfortunately, so i set off unprotected. a decision i would regret later.

Prompt 1.
//Using Uranus for this one!

Uranus Lyre had always longed for adventure. For extraordinary scenarios in which she had to overcome some strange obstacle. Fleeing from her mother's kingdom was dangerous and crazy enough, but the paranoia that she always felt wasn't her idea of "fun". She wanted to be the hero, to make something good of herself to contradict who she would have been had she continued to be the princess of the peninsula country of Elliwest. This was her chance, her chance to forget who she was, who she used to be, and make a name for herself as Calypso Cressida, the young woman who wanted to become something great.

The tall girl sighed as she finished packing, hardly knowing what she was getting herself into. She was running towards the danger, not from it like she was used to. She kept her bag light, packing only what she knew she could carry for long distances. She packed a week's worth of food, hoping it was enough to last in between the shop visits in which she could buy things to eat. Along with extra clothing and a few odds and ends, Uranus decided last minute to carry along the one weapon she knew how to use skillfully- a dagger. It was small enough that she could conceal it easily and take it with her all the time without bringing too much attention to her, while still being harmful enough to be able to defend herself when she needed to.

Slinging the bag over her shoulder, she headed to the large doors that would lead out of the castle. She hadn't thought much about leaving behind the place that she loved so dearly, the people she had grown so attached to. I'll be back. I wont be gone forever. She told herself, but it didn't stop the tears from trickling down her cheeks as she said goodbye to Jupiter and Saturn. Since she'd found them, the two kings had become the closest things to fathers than she'd ever had. She'd told them her real identity, what she'd fought so hard to get away from And she would be eternally grateful to the kindness they had showed her in letting her live there like one of them. Jupiter reacted in the usual way you'd expect a dad to if his kid was going out on their own. He was concerned of course, still asking Uranus to rethink despite her protests of "I can do this, I'm not baby!" and "I'll be fine, it won't be that bad anyway."
However, Saturn remained virtually stone- faced. He was never the one to show a ton of emotion, but Uranus knew that he'd miss her just as much as Jupiter would- even if he was a bit on the grumpy side. She waved at the two kings before turning her back, wiping the tears from her face with the back of her hand. Excitement mixed with nervousness filled her chest as she took out her map.

Alas, she set out on her way, refusing to let her mind run enough that she'd turn back. She wanted this, she needed this. She needed to be known for doing good, and she was ready to face the journey that lie ahead of her. She would be strong, she would succeed. She was officially an adventurer, and had begun her quest.

PROMPT - ONE - wrote:
Image
A call to arms... And
the hero's journey begins.

Image
Characters: Ludovic & Kashima
Word Count: [1,168/150]

The first image that pops into the minds of many upon hearing the word 'hero', is probably somewhere along the lines of a toned, strong, brave, and well-trained individual that always does the right thing simply for the sake of good. What those many do not realize, is that a hero isn't something you can categorize or stereotype. Those often seen as heroes may be hiding wicked ulterior motives, and those seen as weak or helpless may surprise with unrelenting determination to succeed. Anyone, under the right circumstances can be a savior, but it takes more than strength to be a true hero. It takes grit, and loyalty, and passion.

- - -

Ludovic swung one of his twin sais in the direction of a dark figure that approached the edge of his vision. A sickening, ear-shattering screech rang out from the creature's throat as the blade dug deeper and deeper, Ludovic never once slowing his fast running pace. The shadow's cry would surely attract others to this spot, and he had to keep moving. His breath hitched a bit in his throat as he mentally mapped out the path he would have to take in order to get back to the safety of his makeshift abode. It was deliberately located just beyond the territory of the outermost village of the kingdom of Kalokairi: the safest place for anyone to currently be.

Even though Vic was aware that this trip into the village was a high-risk run, it was a necesary risk. The safe house's supplies were running low, weapons and food were the two true necessities for survival these days. Anything else beyond that was a luxury. So far, this had been a fairly successful run, but Ludovic knew not to count his chickens before they hatched. He still needed to get back home. Another screech rang out from above, and Vic slid into the dirt, sending himself slipping under the cover of a pile planks from a downed building. Another shadow figure appeared, then another, and another, until five large figures loomed before him. They circled in the sky above, taunting him. The way they moved made it seem as though he were already a dump of flesh and bones, just waiting for them to descend and consume him. Then suddenly another figure appeared, but this time in solid form. It was another kalon, though of friend or foe Ludovic was not certain.

As his vision settled, he could tell that the body was that of a young woman, and in her smooth hands she carried a heavy broadsword with a noticeably novice, but nonetheless determined, stance.

"Be gone with you, foul wretch!" She hollered, too loud for Ludovic's comfort.

He knew better than to draw attention to himself, and he looked on with pity from his hiding place as the dark beings turned their attention away from him and toward the woman. Quietly, Vic pushed himself from the shelter he had found, and turned to back away. As soon as he was sure the creatures would not hear him, he began to run. However, his guilt got the best of him, and before he got too far away from the girl and the demons, he found himself turning on his heals and running straight back into the face of danger.

Every bone in his body ached to leave her behind. He knew that going back to aid her would likely mean the end of them both, but he could no longer live with himself if he were to leave her to such a cruel fate. He had hidden in fear long enough. It was time for him to rise to the occassion. It was his call to arms, and his hero's journey was about to begin.

Just as he rounded the corner, one of the creatures swooped toward him, claws outstretched and ready to maim. He flung his arms outward in the shape of an 'X', and the being fell to the barren ground. The other three surrounded the girl, and he called out to her. The noise startled her and she turned to look at him with quizical blue eyes the color of a startling ocean scene. As more shadows became attracted to the scene, the sky became dark beneathe their wings. Twenty or so demons flew above us now, and Ludovic shook with fear for both his and her life, but her face was calm as her long black hair whipped around her face in the wind that the creatures' wings forced into creation. A thin smile spread across her lips and a wink played on her face as she lifted the broadsword above her head with all of her strength. Ludovic noticed an inscription on the blade just before the shadow demons descended and barred her entirely from his vision.

It seemed as though the girl was doomed beyond a doubt, and Ludovic turned to leave before the shadows came after him too. But a bright light shooting out of the center of the shadows caught his attentio and kept his feet locked in place. Suddenly, the shadows burst into a million pieces, and a bright white light cut through every corner of the small village square, forcing Vic to cover his eyes defensively. The woman emerged from the light and approached him with a smooth and elegant gait. She realeased the sword with one hand and it fell to the ground with a thud, being too heavy to lift with just one arm. As she reached out her free hand to offer a handshake, Ludovic let out a nervous sigh of relief. He took it firmly and looked at the inscription on the blade that the woman carried. It glowed a pale white and read 'Lucifer Lux: eversores aliquando tenebrae'. She smiled and nodded.

"From Latin, it translates loosly to 'Light Bringer: destroyer of darkness.' Before I first used it, I thought it was just for dramatics, but I soon discovered otherwise. My father left it to me just before he passed. My name is Kashima. And you are?" I looked at her with an expression of awe.

"Ludovic." My voice faltered a bit from the shock of the events that had just taken place.

"Well, Ludovic. We have work to do. The kingdom isn't going to save itself, and you're the first lively face I've seen in ages."

Ludovic had never been the brave soul. He'd never been the hero, because he'd never had the strength or courage to do so. He agreed to travel alongside Kashima for two reasons, one far less noble than the other: one, he wanted to help he kingdom, if not for others, fhen for himself, and two, he felt as though she was his best shot at survival. So the duo set off with nothing more than a bag which carried maybe a week's supply of food, and Ludovic's twin sais and bow and arrows. Oh, and of course, Kashima brought along Lucfer Lux; the Light Bringer.

I apologize for any typos, I wrote this entirely on a glitchy, old kindle fire HD, and I tried to find them all<33

Re: [RPG] Kalon Summer Event // Prompts

Postby QuakingAspen » Mon Jun 26, 2017 5:42 pm

Prompt 1 (I've always seen this as a little summer camp thing for nerds lmao)

Sugar was bubbling with excitement as he scrambled around, grabbing little items to bring with him. He had heard of a little roleplaying game going on with other kalons and he just couldn't wait to join in! He grabbed a little backpack and dumped out his old schoolbooks. "Ha, I'm going to actually do something cool with you now!" He said, holding up his backpack. It was a bit tattered with a couple stains and other marks on it, but he loved it all the same. He ran into the kitchen, snatching up a jar of peanut butter, a jar of jelly, and a package of bread along with a butter knife to use to spread it. Mibee, his mom, probably wouldn't approve of him stealing part of the kitchen but she wanted him out and playing this summer. He grabbed a ponytail holder to keep his hair out of his eyes and looked around, wondering if there was anything else he should bring. He thought back to his roleplaying days with his friends and gave a little gasp as he remembered his old flarping stuff. He ran back to his room and flopped onto his stomach, reaching under the bed to grab a little plastic sword, a little shield, and an oversized plastic helmet that he all bought with his allowance a while ago. The sword was a little bent in places, battle wounds from smacking rocks and stuff and the shield was all scuffed. He took a look at it, confused where they came from and laughed as he remembered the winter night he tried to use it as a sled. He...didn't get very far before falling. He plopped the helmet on his head, wrestling with his ponytail until it was comfortable. He blew the hair out of his eyes and slipped on the backpack, "equipping" his sword and shield. He scampered out the door, his oversized backpack flopping against his back as he scurried to his bike, hopping on. He pedaled for a while, seeing the advertisements tacked onto trees with arrows showing the direction with the big fantasy logo printed in bold. He felt his excitement rising up in his gut and he let out an excited squeal as he saw the large decorated sign that read "The Kingdom of Kalokairi"
Sugar hopped off his bike and ran forward, seeing a bunch of other little kalons his age and he saw a speaker up front. He quietly sat down to listen...
"Ahem. As you all know, the festival is soon arriving!" The kalon speaker exclaimed in a loud boisterous voice. "It will not be withheld this time!...however..." He said, shifting his head down, overexaggerating his eyes flicking around. "It is said that there is EVIL lurking around the kingdom!"
With those words, the children gasped, frantically looking around.
"That's where you guys come in! You need to save the kingdom, its people, and collect the crystals to defeat the evil!"
Sugar jumped up and raised one of his four little arms, jumping up and down, biting his lip to keep himself from yelling.
"Yes, you there?" The speaker asked.
"Are there any prizes other than saving people???" He asked excitedly, his helmet wobbling around.
"Indeed there are. In each zone, there will be merchants that you can "buy" stuff from using little tokens you get around the park!"
Sugar's eyes gleamed as his smile overtook his face. He knew he was going to be the best, and he would do anything to prove it.
