At a young age, Saph''s parents adopted a young Kalon, bright-eyed with an even brighter future. At first he was the older brother who could teach her everything he knew about computers and mathmatics. He was fully invested in electronics, but though she prefered books, she would listen at awe of her brother''s talent. However they distanced the more they grew up and that respect faded as she matured. Soon she was in high school with him. She picked up a large group of friends while he stayed with one or two others. He seemed left in the dark, unknowing of where to go to college despite his perfect GPA. She seemed like the older sibling, aware of what to do. He could doodle and make quick Flash games but others always seemed to like his adopted sister more. Her personality drew them towards her. Her athletic talent and speaking skills gave her more attention, but she was blind to how he felt. Now, he drives her to her first day of work. He leaves his music on as she has separate earbuds in of her own music. He feels grumpy knowing she'll get along with her coworkers fine first day, while he had social fears for almost a year about his coworkers. He feels grumpy knowing his sister may have grown up faster than he did, but he is unaware they just have different talents.

Why are they grumpy?: Because he has not had his coffee today and needs it to stay calm, and he is out of coffee. Also he stayed up too late last night, making him even more grumpy and tired. Now he has to go to the store and get more coffee, but is too tired to even leave the house, making him even more grumpy, because he wants his coffee. He then forces himself to get up, and finds that the store is closed, and then everyone hears him yelling "OH COME ON!"

Why is he upset?:
Slick is an assassin. His kingdom's best, in fact. He was recently hired to kill the King's Captain of the Royal Guard by a Kalon who was in a bit of a pinch with the law. Let's just say that things didn't quite go according to plan...

The new moon left the world tucked in a blanket of shadows as Slick stalked stealthily stalked across the courtyard. His plan was fairly simple. He'd go in through the ventilation shafts. Of course, he'd already slipped past the perimeter guards, the guard towers, and the outer wall... and the guards on the wall... Easy as cake! (Slick hated pie!) Of course, there was the issue of getting the cover off quietly, but that shouldn't have been too hard, or so he thought... His informer had apparently deigned not to tell him that the bolts were sautered onto the metal, which meant that the only way to get the vent open using the tools in his possession would be to stab it with his screwdriver, which eliminated the element of surprise, when the captain of the guard was the first to be alerted to the fact that there was an intruder. Thus, this left him with two options in his current position, scaling the wall, or heading in through the front door. If he were to head in through the front door, he might make it out alive, but he'd never accomplish his goal, seeing as no matter how stealthy he was, someone was bound to spot him. Slick scaled the wall. He knew which window was the captain's, as he had planned for this situation, and he quietly took the frame out of the brick wall with his screwdriver, standing on a small brick that stuck out below him. He was about to climb inside, but as he lifted the first leg up to pull himself through the window, the brick slipped and fell. Slick jumped through the square opening, but he landed on the glass window, shattering it noisily. If that didn't wake the captain, then the echoing thump and crash of the clay brick shattering on the pavement below certainly did. The Captain of the guard was up in minutes, grabbing his sword from its place leaning against his bedpost. He swung it at the dark shadow crouching on his windowsill, but Slick caught it on the edge on his knife.
"Your dead," The guard said icily, pulling back to swing again. Slick smiled softly, quietly and innocently like a child, before throwing himself out of the hole in the wall and running off into the black night. His parting words were,
"Not yet."

Why are they grumpy?: kodi is grumpy because he's terrible at dancing. no matter how hard he tries, he simply can't learn any of the moves. he even has his own personal tutors, but he still can't perform any of the dance properly. the instructors always tell him that as long as he practices hard enough, he'll get it one day, but he doesn't want to wait that long! kodi just has two left feet, and he believes that he'll never be able to do it right. because of this mindset, he's often quite frustrated, and overall very grumpy.

the young male had been interested in dancing ever since he was young. not contemporary style, of course, he didn't care much for the smooth and graceful movements that it offered. instead, he had always wanted to learn more intense, complex choreography- the kind that would leave his crowd wanting more, and the kind that would make him feel exhilarated after every single performance.

unfortunately for kodi, he grew up in a small town. there was little to no opportunity to practice his skills with professionals in studios, so he had to teach himself. the male however, is not a fast learner, so when he saw no progression, he gave up on his dream. a few years later, he realized that he still wanted to learn how to dance, and he decided to try learning again, but this time, he sought out a tutor to help move his learning process on. even after all the days and nights he spends practicing, kodi still sees barely any skill building up. he refuses to give up this time, but the young male is still left feeling quite annoyed at his lack of progress.

Why are they grumpy?: Every time Nix tries to get anything done, something always seems to go wrong. There's always some kind of distraction or mishap that pops up right before he can get any work done. For example, today he had an important letter to write, but his washing machine broke and flooded the laundry room just as he began writing the date down.

Unhappily gets mistaken for a male... Emery is known to be quite the grump but she isn't always like that. Most of the time when she puts on her death glare it is because she has gotten mistaken for a male. When she really lets her angry emotions rage it just makes her look more masculine... which is very counterproductive to her argument. Others who know her well snicker when she gets asked out by women or gay guys and sit back happily to watch the chaos that then ensues. She gets mad when her friends tease her with masculine pronouns. Although at times instead of getting grumpy she will grimace her best fake smile and go along with them. Unfortunately for her she hates skirts and overly flowery designs which makes her clothing choices very particular.
