☀️The juice stand☀️
The village was bustling. People walking to and fro across the cobblestone paths that decorated the small area. The village, ruled by a merciful queen, was flourishing. The kingdom was in a time of great prosperity. A small kit stood on the corner of 5th avenue and 7th street. The sweet smells of the bakery to the left and the clang of the blacksmiths shop to the right made everything a little better. He looked down at his paws, blessed with little markings that resembled that of a prophets eye. A thought struck him. What was a simple way to make money around here? He wandered down 5th avenue to the market square. Fresh produce, meats, and dairy were all stocked up. One vendor however, stood out to him. A fruit cart. It was chock full of different kinds of fruits. Apples, oranges, lemons, kiwi, melon, grapes, pineapple, and grapefruit. He walked up the the stand putting a crisp five dollar bill on the cart. The fruits were two for a dollar so it wasn't that bad of a deal. He picked out a couple of apples, throwing in a pear, along with some strawberries and a nice mango. The small kit worked his way home where he would start his plan. He'd make juice! He would construct a small place to sell and a fancy sign. He stayed up until late in the late making his stand. Finally it was done. The words "Sunnie's Juice Stand." were painted in bright yellow paint, making it hard to miss. The kit, satisfied with his work, headed off to bed. Sunnie woke up that morning ready to go. He grabbed his small sign and his stand rushing off to set up. He had his bag with his handheld squeezer and all the fruits he had bought the previous day. He set up shop on that small street corner of 5th and 7th, watching the pedestrians walk idly by. He was right in the middle of making some sort of Mango/Strawberry mix when another Kalon walked up to his stand.
"I'll take what you're making there kiddo."
Sunnie looked up to the Kalon. She had long red hair that come down almost past her neck. Grease covered spots dotted her fur and face. He nodded at her, quickly finishing off the juice with a tiny umbrella. Sunnie handed it over to her as she placed a couple dollars on the stand. He watched in anticipation as she took her first sip.
"Wow kiddo. This is pretty good. You've got something special here. If you ever need a stand fix up just ask for me at the castle. I'm Mali."
She held her hand out to him. Sunnie was a little wary about the female Kalon, but nonetheless took her hand. She polished off the juice before walking off. Throughout the rest of the day Sunnie worked hard, squeezing fruits, mixing up the juice, taking cash, and observing customers favorites. The days of summer flew by. Mali came by more and more frequently, becoming almost like a big sister to the kit. The two worked side by side whenever Mali wasn't too busy keeping up with the work in the castle or her own inventions. Sunnie's juice stand grew by the day. Different Kalons coming to try his juices. However it was one event that brought it all together. The Queen's daughter had just birthed her royal kits. The newest generation brought Kalons from around the world to celebrate the birth of the two. Prince Vale and Princess Cerci were their names. Blessed children of Princess Akio, Grandchildren of the Queen Adara. Sunnie found it amazing that so many Kalons could celebrate this event. His juice stand was flooded by customers. He was busy all day, making drinks for the thirsty foreigners. When he looked at the jars towards the end of the night he was astounded. Money overflowed the jars. Sunnie decided that one day, when he was older, he would bring juice and happiness to the Kalons of the kingdom with his own juice shop. But, until then he would turn back to his customers at the moment, smiling at them and making them juice. As they filed away, he smiled to himself and took an extra cup of juice and taking a sip himself.
