Hello, I'm
Master of Nothing! Here's a
link to my current kalons! I'd just like to say that I hope that whoever you are, you enjoy my form! As you'll be able to tell by listening to the song I've chosen, the translation I've made from the song's lyrics to the character are very loose, and not every lyric is to be taken as the artist originally intended. Nevertheless, in it's own way, I feel that the song I chose corresponds properly to the character I created. So sit back, listen, watch, and read!

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXBianka is as sweet as a peach and poisonous as a snake. Her sense of vitality and strength overwhelms her character; she is proud, passionate, and dramatic. She was meant for the tv screen for sure. She knows how to tell the best jokes, throw the worst insults, and discover the most amazing things. She'll always surprise you, which isn't always a good thing. She's always learning, and so should you, if you want to keep up. Her smile is enticing, her laughter, well... a melody! People gravitate towards her because she looks so shrewd and polite, but don't be offended if she's disappointed by you. Her tastes are refined, her friends a closed circle, her biases impersonal. She yearns for someone to take care of; being in the middle of attention is lonelier than being a part of a gawking crowd. Though (or perhaps because) she gets judged on a daily basis, Bianka will not tolerate disrespect, for herself, and oddly enough, for others as well. She's like a cold ice; refreshing at first, bitter thereafter, but in the end, purely inconsequential.

𝒲𝑒'𝓇𝑒 𝓂𝑜𝓋𝒾𝓃𝑔,
Hobbies ➢ ▫
StargazingBianka isn't frightened being outside at night. She has a comfortable porch to sit on with a beautiful overlook on the skies. Before she goes to bed every night, she snuggles up with a blanket to watch the stars. It's her alone time to think about anything that she wants to, and that time belongs to no one else. She's always found something very magical about the stars, but she doesn't read into it too much.
▫
SocializingThough Bianka might seem a secret recluse, she really enjoys company. She goes on trips to the city for the sole purpose of meeting new friends, or at least to hang out with a fresh face or two. She has an eye for kind spirits, and when she finds herself in the presence of a benevolent soul, she's quick to catch on. Being exposed to so many different characters also helps her with her acting skills, wouldn't you believe!
▫
PhotographyShe's not great at it, but Bianka has a beautiful camera that she got for her thirteenth birthday and she uses it to death. Mostly, she's interested in photographing wildlife and botanical species; just another reason to go exploring!
Likes and Dislikes ➢√
The BeachIt's an unfortunate coincidence that Bianka wasn't born on some coastal town. The beach is paradise for her. It's the mix of the salty, warm smell, the abundance of carefree travelers, and the sense of freedom combined that always gets her.
☓
MilkThe sheer thought of drinking milk is absolutely unbearable, isn't it? No? Well, to Bianka it is. She's never enjoyed it; it makes her sick to her stomach.
√
Beautiful NamesBianka doesn't mind her name, but she's not drawn to it like she is the names of others. It doesn't have a great ring to it in her opinion, Bianka Jelen, but the most bizarre names do appeal to her. Flip to a random page in a baby name book and there's about a 30 percent chance she'd like the first name that you look at.
☓
FashionEveryone in the fashion industry is
so pretentious! Psh! But... okay, yeah, that dress looks really cute.
√
TeaIced or black tea, usually. She'll have two lumps of sugar, please, but no cream!
☓
PraiseYes, oddly enough, our future movie star here hates praise. She finds it confusing and unfair; she was raised both to be humble and to take pride in what she does, but how can she do both? Until she can hit a real job, she'll stay drawing, composing, writing, and singing behind locked doors. Praise is frustrating!
Quirks ➢▫
StretchingFor some unknown reason, Bianka must stretch after every time she sleeps, so even after naps! It's not really such a weird quirk; shouldn't everyone be stretching frequently? But it's something more for Bianka because if, for some reason, she does not stretch in the morning, she freaks out and believes her day will be terrible. Sometimes she will even return to her bedroom just to stretch.
▫
SnifflingThough barely noticeable (she's very delicate), Bianka sniffles all too frequently. She does it when she's sick, when she's healthy, any time, really. She didn't used to be aware that she does this, but after someone pointed it out to her, she's been bothered every time she does it.
𝒲𝑒'𝓇𝑒 𝒻𝒶𝓁𝓁𝒾𝓃𝑔,
History ➢The Jelen family moved to America from Poland in the 1930's, after collecting enough money to travel to the famed "land of opportunity". They settled on the east coast, but migrated slowly to the south, where the father of the generation could set up a business selling flowers and berries commercially. He was a sweet old man with a heart of gold, and was Bianka's grandfather. He was happy to raise Bianka's father along with his six sisters right on the farm. The profits from Grandfather's business were greater than he'd expected, but soldiers coming home from the war were eager to offer their lonely wives beautiful boquets. He expanded the humble home he'd lived in into what he could rightfully call a mansion.
Three of Father's sisters were married to men out of state, one went off traveling on her own, one started her own business in Atlanta, and one perished from sickness when she was young, leaving Father, the youngest sibling, to inherit the mansion. Father appreciated what Grandfather had started, but decided it wasn't good enough. He knew nothing of flowers, but a lot about selling them, and so became the head of sales on Grandfather's farm.
He married a small African American woman and together they produced Bianka, though it's rumored that they never intended to have a child. Mother was an artist and would lock herself in her room for long hours working on projects while Father was at work, leaving Bianka by herself. Mother would try to keep her daughter company, or at least busy, but she was never good with children so although gentle, was quite awkward and frustrating to get along with. Father, on the other hand, ignored Bianka outright, claiming always to be too busy for anything but work.
Bianka started school at home when her parents decided to pay for a permanent tutor. The tutor showed Bianka lots of things, but nevertheless was deemed an unsatisfactory teacher. In junior high, Bianka attended a private boarding school. She got along with her classmates all right, but though she never thought she would, she missed the big farm. She's set to go to a different place entirely for high school, but is fighting for something else.
Appearance ➢ She looks in the mirror, gazing at herself. Her eyes are almost blindingly bright and of a unique shade that will never be replicated again. She touches her black hair, soft and full, smelling faintly of fabric softener. Her eyebrows are set into a look of permanent concern, but she his smiling genuinely with her thin lips. She runs her hands across her freckled face and rests her index fingers on her small nose. She admires herself for a moment, her clean, tanned skin. With a swift motion of her hands she evens out her denim dress before straightening the lace-ruffled collar. Her tiny feet fit perfectly into shoes that clack on the floor. She completes the outfit with the old necklace of her great grandmother, which looks ancient and smells of rusted metal. She breathes in and out, looking at herself one more time. She notices the scar on her cheek below her left eye and sighs, turning away from the mirror before she can remind herself of any of her other flaws.
Aspirations ➢Lights, camera, action! A blinding light flashes in Bianka's eyes, but she tries not to squint. Her cousins are surrounding her like hungry vultures, making her very uncomfortable in their large, floppy hats. "You nervous, dear?" one of them touches her chin and lifts up her head. She frowns and pulls the hand down.
"Dandy, hun, I'll do fine, you'll see."
She enters the room with hundreds of nervous souls. She tries not to look at them because most of them are yet to become failures and a few of them might outshine herself. Her heart is pumping fast. She's never done something this important or nerve-racking before. She is auditioning just to get into a school, which she finds a ridiculous thought to begin with. And she must announce the same words as all the others; no individuality in acting schools. But she has to do this for herself. New York is a scary place, but the best place to start her career. All she's ever wanted depends on whether or not she takes the breath away from the judges in the next fifteen minutes. Great.
"Number three-hundred-seventy-four, Bianka... Jelen? Yes, dear, please, you're up next."
Bianka hops up behind the velvet curtain- and it's
real velvet, not the cheap stuff her boarding school tried to get away with.
"Next!" shouts a tired voice. Bianka gulps.
Here goes nothing![𝒲𝑒 𝓈𝓉𝑒𝓅 𝒾𝓃𝓉𝑜 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒻𝒾𝓇𝑒.]
𝒯𝒽𝑒𝓇𝑒'𝓈 𝓃𝑜 𝓇𝑒𝒶𝓈𝑜𝓃 𝓉𝑜 𝒽𝓊𝓇𝓇𝓎!
[𝒥𝓊𝓈𝓉 𝓈𝓉𝒶𝓇𝓉 𝓉𝒽𝒶𝓉 𝒷𝓇𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝓃𝑒𝓌 𝓈𝓉𝑜𝓇𝓎.]
Obstacles ➢Bianka's audition didn't go over well. The judges didn't like her acting style, for one. But how can Bianka help it? Someone, somewhere, must like how she acts, right? They then proceeded to explain that basically Bianka didn't have what it takes for the big screen because her southern accent does not appeal to big movie producers. Bianka was deeply offended by this notion, broken because she wouldn't be able to get into her choice school.
Now, Bianka is going to have to figure something else out. She doesn't know what she'll do, but she won't stand for nothing. Her parents don't think that she should be an actress anyway, but instead go into the medical field where she could "actually be useful", which Bianka finds and interesting viewpoint for a freelance artist and flower salesman to have.
Opportunities have a tendency to open themselves up to Bianka. It's like the world itself trusts her, wants her to succeed. She'll find something better for herself soon enough, but for the time being, she's immensely stressed out about the whole thing.

Bianka's Words of Wisdom ➢
Do more stuff, and do it differently than anyone else. There's no harm in opening closed doors, now is there? I mean, don't get too crazy, but take a risk here and there! There's like a fifty-fifty chance you won't regret it!
𝒢𝒾𝓋𝑒 𝓂𝑒 𝓂𝑜𝓇𝑒 𝓉𝓇𝒶𝑔𝑒𝒹𝓎,

MimiBitz! The kid has had his eye on Bianka for a while now but doesn't think he has a chance. But... perhaps Bianka has just been playing hard-to-get? Anyway, it's not too uncommon to see the two of them hanging around each other, glad for the honest company.
𝒜𝓃𝒹 𝒻𝒶𝓃𝓉𝒶𝓈𝓎, 𝓂𝓎 𝒹𝑒𝒶𝓇.
Antlers ➢
As I see it, Bianka's antlers are a huge part of her design. I think that they are beautiful, and they helped me develop the theme of her character. As I talk about her character in the context of a human society, I don't mention her antlers. This is because they belong to her as a kalon, but as a human they simply represent her. Her antlers are the beauty, the drama, and the fantasy of her being, if you will.
Thank You
Just one last thank you for reading my form! I hope that you like Bianka as much as I do. Maybe she'll find you and your kalons later, in a once forbidden place she'll go for a while.
