I was an astronaut. I loved my job so much, just watching the Earth rotate and orbit while I float softly.
I would be away for months at a time, leaving my fiance. I didn't care if I was going to be away for months at a time, I was going to fulfill little Luka's dream of seeing the Earth from afar, looking like a beautiful marble. I left everything and everyone I loved behind thinking that they would wait for me.
I was wrong.
It was late July, about halfway through my mission when I get the one call I get a month from my fiance. She was crying and furious, while wearing a beautiful white dress. It was our wedding day and I forgot to tell my boss when he asked me if I wanted extra time. I forgot our day and now she's leaving me.

I should've told my boss that I can't take extra time. I should've been there. I can't believe that I forgot my wedding day and left her at the altar while I was too busy at my job.

Since then, I quit my job, she hasn't talked to me since that call, and I'm full of disappointment and regret



A CRASH IN ORBIT
Im not sure what day it was, the sun doesn't set or rise in outer space, but it sure as hell wasn't a good day. I remember the sound of a crash and oxygen was being depleted. Apparently some space in junk

Eri had regretted many things in life. Missed opportunities, missed kisses, missed jobs. There was really nothing that he didn't regret. Now, however, as he stood at the hospital bed of his best friend, he found that true regret ran much deeper. He regretted all the times he missed out on platonic 'I love yous', sleepovers, fun outtings - and for what? He had been chasing goals, girls, and guarantees that never came through. As he held the paw of his closest friend, he sighed, watching as they drew their last breath. Out of all of Eri's regrets, this was the one he regretted most.
