favorite holiday tradition;; Vi loves to bake cookies with her family. She's an adopted daughter of Hailey and sibling of Dokuro and Masa. Every Christmas, on the Saturday before, they bake tons of cookies and other sweets. They make sugar cookies, chocolate chip cookies, brownies, cinnamon logs, nuts and bolts, and a couple other family recipes. They always take them to where Christmas is being hosted for the year. For her, this is the most special time of year as she gets to spend it just having fun with her family.

“That poor horse…” Dakota mumbled under her breath, shaking her head at the sight before her.
She had only come over to drop off her friend’s gifts, but when she couldn’t find Kismet in the house,
Dakota had stumbled upon this: A horse that was currently being decorated like a Christmas tree!


“He seems to enjoy it, actually!” Kismet responded happily. As Dakota silently wondered about how her
friend had heard the barely audible comment, Kismet gently tossed another strand of silver garland over
her animal companion. While the shimmering garland would have spooked a typical horse, this one stood
stock still, barely even noticing the holiday decor piling up on top of him.


“Alright then. I’ll leave you to it. Your presents are at the front door.” Dakota sighed and headed out
of the barn, not wanting to ruin the weird but seemingly special moment she had accidently interrupted.
Kismet truly was a character. Dakota had never seen a horse be decorated with anything other than a
fancy saddle.


As soon as Kismet heard Dakota leave, she stood on her toes and leaned in close to her beloved horse’s ear.
Pickles’ ear flicked back to listen. “Don’t worry about her. Pickles. She doesn’t know we do this every
year.” She whispered. The horse snorted, almost as if he were responding.


“Where’s the wreath?” Kismet said, speaking for Pickles in an awkwardly deep voice.

“I’ve got it right here, sir!” Kismet held up the wreath she had made from pine branches only a few hours
earlier. Pickles lowered his head and allowed the circular bough to slip over his head.


“That tickles!” Kismet spoke again for her horse. “Can we do this again tomorrow?”


“Now, Pickles, you know we only do this ONCE a year!” Kismet chuckled as she added the final touches
and slipped an alfalfa cube under Pickles’s hungry lips. “But I guess we can break that rule just this once.
Tomorrow I’ll turn you into a snowman!”

favorite holiday tradition;; Scotty has always had a tradition where he and his grandmother hand make stuffed bears. They buy all of the fabric, thread, button eyes, and stuffing by themselves. Then, once they finish all of the bears, they send one out to each of their younger family members or friends. If there happens to be any extra bears, they'll donate them to a charity who gives toys out to children who can't afford them. Scotty really enjoys this tradition, especially since he gets to spend so much time with his grandmother who he rarely gets to see normally.

Aderyn makes holiday wreaths. She does most of them commercially, but her special
tradition is the one wreath she makes with her friends. Aderyn is always the Kalon
that hosts the Christmas party for the group, so when she gets them all together, she
asks that they each bring something to put on the wreath. It has to be an object that
symbolizes something good that happened to them during the year; for example, her
friends Bersaglio and Fyodor brought a set of false wedding rings the year they got
married. Aderyn then weaves the objects into the wreath, and hangs it above the
fireplace. It stays up there until the start of the New Year, when someone takes it
home with them.

Something that Azaria looks forward to every Christmas is Secret Santa. Her and a few of her friends all put their names in a Santa hat and they all grab names. Usually, you would buy your person a gift you know they'd like, like candy, but Azaria and her friends do it differently. These friends buy something like, for example, a stuffed salt shaker, and they label it with a terrible pun, such as 'Season's Greetings' or something along those lines. Sometimes they even go to the extent of using a big bag and filling the bag with more of the present, and they find it hilarious. They love opening their presents together and laughing at how bad the puns are, and the strangeness of the overall gift. They honestly don't care about what they get, they just want to have fun. Aza has started storing her gifts in a large basket labelled 'Christmas Puns'. None of them have any idea how this tradition started, but they sure don't plan on stopping in the near future.
