How is Christmas spent in the family?; Well, for sta
rters, Makani isn't allowed to decorate, at least not w
ithout supervision. And even then, he's only allowed t
o use shatter-proof ornaments when he decorates. He
's okay with this, though, as he knows that he would a
bsolutely destroy the fragile glass orbs that the others
decorate with. The decorating isn't really the thing th
at matters to Makani, though. What he really enjoys a
bout the season is sitting down to watch Christmas mo
vies with his family. Even though there will always be
a bit of conflict, and everyone might not always be th
ere, there really is no better peace to Makani than wa
tching Christmas movies with his family. When Christm
as is finally there, though, it's definitely a sleepless nig
ht for him. Or, as sleepless as Makani gets, which, to b
e entirely fair, is not very. Oh, but it's exciting! Even t
hough he might not find it the most fun to mess things
up all of the time, to accidentally destroy people's thin
gs, even when Christmas can be stressful.. something m
akes it fun, exciting, even. Spending time with family,
watching movies, opening gifts, seeing how others like
the gifts he gave them - all of them give him that warm
, fuzzy feeling that you're supposed to get at Christmas
time. Hmm, I guess Christmas time is actually pretty en

How does he feel about Christmas?; Makani absolutely loves Christmas! Well,
at least, as a concept he does.. Oh, wouldn't it be nice? To have a calm, stress
free day of family fun where everyone opens gifts and is merry? But he has to
go and mess it all up.. To clarify, Makani is a walking hazard. He doesn't mea
n to be destructive, things just kinda.. happen. He's clumsy and very unaware
of himself and his surroundings. He can hardly go five steps without tripping o
ver something - or nothing, as the case would have it. Because of this, the Chr
istmas season is sort of a.. disaster season for him. Oh, all the poor, poor fragi
le ornaments he's broken, the trees he's knocked over, the lights he's shorted o
ut.. Even still, with his clumsiness, he finds the Christmas season to be rather
enjoyable. He's learned how to deal with any issues and how to combat his clu
msiness, and, although there are still a few casualties {those poor ornaments..
}, he's learned to deal with it. Some of his favorite things about the Christmas
season are the music, the movies, and the decorations. He's taken it upon him
self to see as much good in the season as he can, even if he can't fully enjoy i

Relationships;
Milo; Makani really wishes that Milo was home a bit more. He's the one that gave Makani the nickname "Little Lamb", which makes Makani very happy.
He's also the one that first got him a copy of A Charlie Brown Christmas. While Milo might not be home much, Makani really loves him and wishes they
could spend more time together. When Milo comes home, especially when he's been gone for awhile, Makani's eyes light up and he doesn't stop smiling
for hours. He doesn't like clinging to him because he knows that Milo has things to do, but he does like hanging around him every now and then. He'll o

Adrian; Above all things, Makani really wants to impress Adrian. He's not the most 'manly', but Makani really does try to help around with his dad, eve
n when it's beyond his abilities to do so. He hopes that Adrian really is proud of him for at least trying, despite his horrible clumsiness. He's not really-
a fan of Adrian's more strict nature, but he doesn't let it bother him. He knows that Adrian can't really help it if he yells at him for messing something
up accidentally. He also knows that his clumsiness can't be helped, but even then, just trying hard to impress his dad is enough for Makani. ◄⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯

Salem; Well, Makani can't really say much for Salem. He doesn't especially dislike him, but they're not exactly friends, either. Although, to be fair, th
at's mostly due to the fact that Salem doesn't really like him. Even still, Makani doesn't mind his more bratty nature or how much Salem may dislike hi

Thanrir; Makani really likes Thanrir! They don't really talk especially often, but there's something about Thanrir that Makani is reallly fond of. He thin

Kilo; Makani absolutely treasures Kilo. He thinks that he's the most adorable thing on this earth and can absolutely do no wrong. Even though they're p
retty much the same age, he can't help but think if Kilo as his little baby brother. Out of all of his siblings, Kilo is the one that Makani likes to spend t
he most time with. He also really relates to him as they're both pretty clumsy. He thinks that Kilo is a lot better about it than him, though, and he rea

Jon; Despite being younger than him, Makani really likes to encourage Jon as if he were his younger brother. He really likes his designs, even though so
me of them aren't the most amazing. He'll happily help him out any time, although Jon doesn't always want his 'help'. Makani tends to make a mess of h
is space when he tries to help, and he doesn't really have a good understanding of how design or creation works. Still, he'll try to help out Jon as best a

Personality;
Mature, independent and generally apathetic towards others, Colton is a kalon with strong opinions and a weak voice. He knows what he wants and how he wants it done, but he is shy, insecure and far from willing to take the lead in any situation. He is usually very nervous and will second guess his own decisions once he voices them so he keeps it to himself. Colton is an introvert, he doesn't enjoy being around others and he particularly avoids others who are his own age. The only company he truly enjoys and feels comfortable with is his family, his dads and handful of siblings, and he loves nothing more then to be with them.

Although Milo is almost always gone Colton still loves up to him like a super star. He thinks of his father as some sort of spy, going on missions and barely escaping exciting adventures alive. Although his father is nothing more then a professional gambler Colton can't help but be swayed into believing there is something his dad isn't telling him. None the less Colton always counts down the days until Milo comes to visit and loves it when he's around. Although Colton may think Milo is the sun and stars he thinks that the world revolves around Adrian. He deeply respects Adrian for how orderly he is and yet how easy it is for Colton to know that he loves him. Colton takes after both of his dads but he learns more life lessons from Adrian.

One of the main lessons Adrian has given him over all the years is respect, and Colton learned it well. He calls all his elders ma'am or sir and is polite to his peers. Along with respect comes a great deal of maturity, Colton would sound like any of the smartest adult if it weren't for his higher pitched childish voice. He is naturally smart and much prefers a good talk about politics then a game of hide and seek. He is also very responsible and deeply devoted to school, he feels like he would be letting Adrian down if he didn't at least try his very best.

Though Colton has many varied interest he has a few that stand out from the others. One of his main interests is reading, he loves to have his nose in a book as often as he can. Fiction, non fiction, he loves it all. He also enjoys end of the world movies, he loves something to think about. Unlike many of his peers though he will watch them thinking all the while about the financial ramifications from all the devastation. Although he doesn't have many to share his hobby he persists in it wholeheartedly, practicing his love of cooking every time he gets the chance. His main interest though is one that he likely shares with many. Colton loves the holidays, although he usually keeps it to himself he really enjoys the spirit of holidays and the buzz that seems to come with them. Christmas is his favorite holiday out of them all, the main reason being it's the one holiday he can always count on his family being together.





How does he feel about Christmas;
In the words of a familiar song, "It's the most wonderful time of the year", And these words ring true with Colton and his opinions on Christmas time. It isn't the present, Colton is after all hardly a material thinker, and while he does enjoy it quite a bit it's not even "the spirit of Christmas" that floats through the air throughout the season. What Colton truly loves is family. He is around his family, or at least most of them, there is something about the Christmas season that brings their family, and families in general, together.

How is Christmas spent in the family;
His heart pounded, his eyes fluttered and he tried desperately to fall asleep before the night was up. The night before Christmas was always the worst, the anticipation flooded his mind and the thoughts of the coming day were at the forefront of his imagination. Colton always loved Christmas, he didn't like being busy, he didn't like seeing extended family and pretending that he liked them, but there was something about the way the air changed. Everything was beautiful on Christmas. People let go of a little bit of themselves to help others. Everything seemed a little brighter, and Colton loved it that way.

The next day would go as it did every year, perfectly planned out under Adrian's strict and loving control. They would wake up at sunrise, the alarms were set the night before as according to the weather app. With excitement they would rush into the living room, in whatever pj's they had chosen that night. Colton would usually show up in one of his many footie pajamas, this year he had chosen one that was black with a picture of a cactus and the caption "free hugs".
Presents would be opened one by one, the youngest would go first then moving up the line in age and every member of the family was expected to give a well thought out gift to each of their siblings to remember the spirit of the season rather then being greedy and only taking all you can rather then really taking the time to give others gifts.
But what Colton was looking forward to, as he looked forward to every year, was family. The whole family. Colton misses Milo, he sort of sees him as living in a secret dark world going around under the cover of darkness despite what the facts may be. He looks up to his dad and is fascinated by all of the many places he'd been. Colton could count on every year is that he'd be home for Christmas.
This year Milo would come in from the air port at 1:45, Colton had memorized the time, and the whole family would jump in the car to go and get him. Colton could see it now, his dad would grab him by the waste, hoisting him up over his head and spinning him around.
Colton smiled in his bed at this thought, then snapped back into thinking about the rest of the coming day. After they got back home with Milo anyone who wanted to would help make lunch, those who didn't could do whatever they wanted instead but were expected to make up the table ready for lunch first. Colton was in the kitchen every single year, he loved to be doing something with his parents, both of them.
The rest of the day always planned itself, they would go out somewhere as a family or go somewhere to volunteer for the day or sometimes just stay at home. Whatever it was they would do the focus was always on family.

Colton yawned, the coming day still floating around in his mind like a sweet, sweet dream as he drifted off to sleep.



Relationships;

Milo~
Colton looks at Milo with the rosiest of colored glasses, to him Milo is everything that he could ever hope to and more. Colton doesn't really know much about Milo's life, he knows he travels and gambles but he likes to think that there's more to it. In his head Milo is a super spy, saving the world and fighting crime. Plenty have tried to set him straight, some just wan to crush his dreams, but no matter their motivation he won't hear it. Nothing can change his mind about what he thinks of his dad. Milo may be away from home most of the time but that doesn't stop Colton from being somewhat overly attached to him. He misses his father alot and pesters Adrian almost every day about calling him to talk about nothing in particular. When Milo returns from wherever he's been Colton clings to him like a magnet to... another magnet. He hogs all Milo's time, at least as much as he possibly can, and any prior responsibilities typically fall by the wayside.

Adrian~
Adrian's word is law to Colton, but that doesn't mean he doesn't adore him. Colton thinks that Adrian knows absolutely everything that can be known and believes wholeheartedly that Adrian is what keeps the world, at least his world, spinning. Adrian keeps everything on track and Colton wants to help any way he can, much to the annoyance of his siblings. He is sort of a "goody two shoes" and never seems to do anything wrong, but he doesn't do it to spite his peers, he does it because he wants more then anything for Adrian to be proud of him. He has never thought that Adrian doesn't love him, however he always feels like if he let's his dad down that he'll lose his trust. Colton relies on Adrian, he loves him and trusts him with all his thoughts and feelings.

Salem~
Colton doesn't get along with Salem at all. He thinks that Salem is very immature and is a know it all, despite being a great deal younger then his brother. Colton believes himself to be much more mature then Salem and he believes that Salem is not worth being around. Despite what he might want he can't avoid his brother all the time and so he is prone to getting into arguments with him, something he rarely does with anyone. Salem pushed Colton's buttons like no body else so whenever possible he'll avoid him at all costs.

Thanrir~
Despite feeling somewhat protective over him Colton doesn't really like Thanrir. He thinks he needs to toughen up a bit and stop getting upset over everything, but while he may feel strongly about it he's never said that to his face. He simply doesn't have the heart. Although he doesn't really like how Thanrir acts he doesn't avoid him and he doesn't argue with him as he does with Salem and on occasion he even enjoys Thanrir's company.

Kilo~
Colton really loves his brother Kilo, he thinks that he is interesting and enjoyable to be around. While he may not share his love of dance Colton still loves to hear Kilo tell him all about it and show him new things he's learned. Colton feels like he can connect with Kilo in a way he can't with his other siblings.

Jon~
Jon and Colton get along as well as normal brothers would. Colton gets along with Jon most of the time, looking up to him and doing things with each other that one or the other enjoys. Sometimes they don't get along and will go a full hour or so before talking again but then the emotions will have blown over and given them some time to think and decide grudges aren't worth it when it's your own brother.

Autumn~
Although he's much younger then Autumn, Colton feels a sort of desire to protect his older sister. After Autumn's kidnapping, although he may have been too young to truly understand what it all really meant, Colton could tell things changed around the house and he wanted to make things better. Colton doesn't exactly get along with Autumn, that is, he doesn't really spend alot of time with her in general. But with any chance he gets Colton would like to please and make his sister's life a litter better in what ways he can.
