Sheer Name: Ekilipatamarango
Gender: Female
Backstory: Eki was no more than three days old when her brother Kiji died. She didn't remember much about it. She had a memory of her mother crying over a small body, barely bigger than her head had been. It had the most gorgeous coat swirled with shades of blue and green and a hint of violet. She had licked his face for an hour trying to get him to breathe. She remembered the look of determination in her eyes, one that said "This child will live. He is not, and will not be, dead." Unfortunately, life isn't Undertale; determination does little to effect the outcome of what people do. His pale skin and dark freckles had no warmth, and his nose released no air. She remembered her mother giving up, staring at his lifeless golden eyes. She hadn't moved since. It was like she was waiting for him to do something. Eki knew what life smelled like, though, and she knew the smell of decay. He wouldn't do anything. And apparently, neither would her mother. She didn't smell like decay, but she didn't do any of the things life should. She just stared. The humans fed her sometimes, but she barely ate the food, all the time watching her lost son. At night she made strange noises and nudged him, alarmed that he didn't have a dream for her to enter. Her father was also dead, burned to ash by a raging forest fire.
Mummy! Mummy, you left Kiji! Oh, thank goodness! You have no idea how happy I am that you're back to be here for me and da—Mummy? What are you looking at? Mummy?A ring of fire suddenly burstec around them, filling the clearing. What is that?! I smell something wrong! Mummy, what is that?! Where is father?! Her mother ran to Kiji. Mother, wait! Mummy, please! Where is daddy?!
That dream is the same one she's had every night since then.
Their Worst Fear: Ducks. There is nothing more horrifying to her.
Extras:
Scars are fears
Marks of our fears
Marks of our fears which healed too late
Tears fall down
Drip, dripping to the ground
Landing on the ground
Making a very subtle sound
And I tried hard
Tried hard to hold them back
But I never had luck
Never kept quiet enough
Then you came
Put your hand on my back
Said "Child, tell me happened
To make you this way"
I looked for a minute
Searching for a smile
A cruel cruel smile that I never found
I told you my story
You took me in
I don't think I'll ever cry again
So thank you, thank you for taking me in
