Why "wren"?:
Quite simple, really. "Wren" was a pet name he had been given as a child, although the exact origin as to why is unknown. He prefers it to his real name in many ways, and tends to introduce himself as "Wren". Thus, he figured he might as well have it on his trusty bandanna, which he made himself from various craft supplies out of an old, plain blanket he had as a child. He has trouble letting the past go, and so you can say his bandana is a symbol of his best past memories.
