Beryl absolutely adores araucana chickens. They're not an exceptionally common breed on farms but they saw one once when they were all of six and fell in love. These chickens are easily identified by the feather tufts that grow out from either side of their heads, giving a viewer the impression of "ears". They also lay beautiful pastel eggs in a variety of unexpected colors, so collecting them each morning is an entertaining feat for Beryl. Even living now in the city Beryl has carved out space in their backyard for a coop, and keeps a flock of four araucanas. They've taken care to raise these birds since hatching so the four are attached to them, and come when they call their names. They're named, in order of oldest to youngest, Lavender, Periwinkle, Baby Blue and Lilac. Beryl often lets them indoors, where they feed them choice seeds on the tiled kitchen floor. They're all spoiled but Beryl gets fresh eggs every morning and the gentle friendship of a chicken so they don't mind the vet fees much.

"I guess if I have to then I'll admit it, ducks. That's my favorite farm animal simply because they're my favorite animal all around just drop the farm animal part."

Crypto simply hates farms or anything of the sort, so telling people his favorite farm animal makes him bitter and he always turns to ducks as they are his favorite animal ever since he was a young child and he'd visit an uncle's farm only being able to get close to the ducklings he had been keeping without getting startled by quick, large animals or aggressive smaller ones. Due to this, Crypto loves the feathered avian.

Dorian absolutely adores chickens, he finds them very intriguing and odd because they aren't like other avian. They don't really fly, they're easy to domesticate. And they will follow you and love you if you provide them with enough trust, and Dorian thinks that's odd. With working with chickens all his life he found out a couple other eccentric facts about them, but it's probably best not to talk about them around the kids. But he also enjoys the difference between the hens and the roosters, the males are funny-looking creatures. They have a red bit that sticks out from the top of their heads called the comb, and another that dangles beneath their chin called the wattle. And then they perform this little dance called "tidbitting." Its a mating dance that they do to attract the females and also display dominance, but also adding onto that the roosters also tend to look more beautiful then hens. Which makes Dorian finds that part at least a little bit close to the other avian species since females dont usually look as pretty as the males.
