Name: Pelagius Yorkshire
Nick Name: Peg
Gender: Transgender Male
Age: 19
Sexuality: Bi-sexual { but leans towards males }

Occupation
Peg spends his time doing the things he loves, including running his small game store. The store consists of hand made/hand printed/Hand draw T-shirt designs many hand sewn plushies from games and a few other nerdy nicnacs he could think of. Usually the store is quite busy but on non busy days he finds interest in making game themed Biscuit(cookies)/cakes and cupcakes which sells to passing people. Overall he enjoys his job (If you could call it a job) and thats all that matters to him.

Personality
Shy or Introverted - Nerdy - awkwardly cute - Has existential crisis 24/7

Basic >
Peg isnt really, well, Lively to say the least. He doesn't prefer talking to"Strangers" or anyone that's not close family or very close friends. He seems to keep his friend group small and doesnt really reach out to interact with any others but, Hes actually a great reliable person! The friends in his small group cherish him and his funny personality although a bit of the time he seems a little down because hes questioning the meaning to life and what happens once you die, other than that hes really sweet and had that perfect nerdy touch!

Shy/Introvert > Rating : 89%
Peg is everything but, flirty or talkative. Hes not really into the whole "Go out and make some friends" thing since first impressions are a big deal and messing that up, is going to leave a mark! How could he ever present in front of his class? WHat if he messes up? and worse, gets laughed at. These are all the fears that go through pegs mind, making him overall very shy. Although he does have a few friends overtime hes kinda shut himself off to people outside of his group.

Nerdy > Rating : 95%
Calling Peg "Nerdy" would be an understatement, because nerdy just doesn't cut his nerdy level. Owning a game shop, making game themed cookies, spending his life with games, I mean there's no way you couldn't call him nerdy since games is a defining factor in his life! He's always carrying a DS or his phone to play his favorite franchise, Pokemon, or with his phone the new hyped up Pokemon Go! He's not seen without at least one device that can play a game!

Awkwardly cute > Rating : 90%
Peg is awkward, there's no doubt about it. He stutters a little and always has a conversation pause a few times, which makes him light up bringt re from embarrassment which always ends in a cute face from being overly embarrassed. Everyone doesn't mind how awkward he is because he always makes up with a few cute faces or reactions when he realizes ow awkward hes being. Although hes getting better at being less awkward hes still super adorable and gets embarrassed!

Existential crisis > Rating : 100%
We all have that time where we question why we exist/why we die/what happens when we die/if our life actually makes a difference/that we may not being important/how small we really are and so on. Bad thing is Peg always thinks about this all the time, hes in a loop of all the questions and without an answer, hes going to keep asking. Sometimes he'll forget but when he remembers he has to sit down for a moment and think about his life on such a small planet in such a big galaxy. I mean on a small place like Earth how are humans even important, i mean we are all going to die out soon enough and be forgotten right? Poor Peg, he needs a moment to think. This sometimes leads Peg in depressional states but he tries to hide it and is seeking help to hopefully get this part of his personality erased for good!

Sense of Humour > Rating : 81%
Peg has a great sense of humour! Rather it be because of his hilarious reactions to things or the fact that he gets scared super easily, people are sure to laugh when hes around! He's able to give out funny and playful comebacks to his friends "Bullying" him ( Not actually the whole friend group makes fun of eachother but in a friend way. ) and always know what will make people laugh. Sometimes he'll mess up a bit and his comeback/joke wont be funny but he'll make it up by making fun of himself, making everyone around laugh. Overall hes a pretty fun person to be around!

Cook and Artist > Rating : 90%
Peggy is actually a really good cook and an artist! From working his shop all day and having to design t-shirts for it really improved his art skills! And from baking cute game theme pastries his baking skill soon shot up and made him quiet a great chief! These two skills are the most likable ones he has since it's something interesting about him. He hopes to presue his art skills one day and maybe become a famous artist but, if that doesn't work out he can always have cooking as a back up plan!

Why do you think you'd be a suitable owner?
I currently own 2 others plumes which have much love and adding a third into the family wouldn't be so hard ;o; , as a dedicated owner i consistently draw my babes and order art of them, i probably have too much art tbh like whoops. Anyway I have the feeling that This lil beb wouldn't be mistreated if they happened to end up with me, im actually going to assure you that they wont because they too cute to go without love ;0; As stated i wouldn't let them collect dust or any nonsense like that if anything id evolve them into my currently family of plumes and make them into a friend of the two i own, ending in me making too much art of them hanging together and riding roller coasters/going to the beach/ and being friends and probably teasing Peg if he ever finds a crush ;; Anyway i dont like to go on about "Id be a supreme owner and I DESERVE THEM" because i feel like that makes me look stuck up and snotty so if anything im just letting you know id take great care of them ;x; <3 <3

Why do you think you'd be a suitable owner?:

I have been active in the plumerian community for over a year. During this time I have acquired three plumerians, whom I all love dearly. Each of them have taught me more about art, writing and character building. I am active with my plumerians in different ways. For Luka, I love making up stories. For Melinda, I love getting art of her, and Harper is my favourite plumerian to draw myself. I have never been one to stand in any kind of spotlight, so I always prefer to lurk rather than to actively post on the plumerian fc. However I did gather a lot of art of my three over time, and I have also roleplayed them, just not in public. Due to these reasons I think I would be a good owner for Peg, because I would find yet another way of being active with her, namely in making crafts, one of which I have already made, and I want to use her to become more disciplined. Peg is very disciplined and hard-working but I have trouble with both of these, and I hope that I can remember her when I am being slow to become motivated again.

Peg on her reporting job
Peg is an idealistic journalist, whose dream it is
to make informative documentaries to show the struggles
of those without a voice. Unfortunately for Peg, she is
currently unable to fulfil her dream because she only
just graduated. She has too little experience to be
taken on by a production team for fulltime
documentaries. Instead, she works at a smaller
English television station to slowly work her way up.
Peg knows this dream is far away, and will not come
easy, but that does not discourage her in the least.
She knows that, as long as she works hard, she will
eventually get where she wants to be.

Although Peg is skilled at journalism, she actually
did not always want to make documentaries. Ever
since she can remember, Peg has always been
absolutely fascinated with paparazzi and the cool
reporters on television who just dive in to get that
one piece of news. She admires their skill and wit,
and the speed with which they work, but above all
she admires the jounalists’ passion for and dedication
to their profession. As someone who struggled in
school to stay motivated for those subjects she disliked,
Peg looked to these plumerians for motivation and the
knowledge that, in order to do the things you like,
there are always obstacles that have to be
overcome first. Even so, she did not just
like the journalists themselves.

With a thirst for news and a nose for scoops, young
Peg could always be found investigating this or that.
Peg was born in Crewe, Chesire County, England.
This town has around 80.000 residents, and because
of that there is just enough news for her to report on.
She even chaired the news club in her high school, and
she would always interview other students, teachers,
just anyone she could get her paws on really. In addition,
she also worked part-time for the Crewe Chronicle,
which is the local newspaper of Crewe. As a teenager,
she was able to write articles on the things other
‘young people’ did and because she was part of
‘the team’ she decided that she really wanted to do this
for a living, and not just ‘because it looks cool’. Once
she graduated she looked at several colleges and
decided to attend the
Manchester Metropolitan University. This university’s
campuses are spread out over several towns and cities.
Although the All Saints Campus that hosts the media
department is located in Manchester, another campus
is actually located in Crewe, which meant she could
ask plumerians about the quality of the university.
An acquaintance who went there told her that this
university has good international relationships with
other universities, as well as good education, and
since Manchester is also relatively close to Crewe,
it is this university that she decided to attend.

However, during her first year at MMU, poor Peg
realized that the competitive world of news, and
the way in which paparazzi treat plumerians was
not for her. On television, the camera’s and the
paparazzi are a sign that a plumerian is famous and
it adds to their fame.

Many stars also smile for the camera so Peg thought that these celebrities enjoyed the attention. However once she actually went to college she took a course about different types of journalism, and in that course, for the first time, she saw the different sides to the press. She saw what paparazzi and the tabloid press could do to stars, and how fame and a lack of privacy could hurt celebrities. She learned about the rudeness of some these reporters, and about their disrespect in regards to privacy. Although she still respects the skill of those journalists, she no longer sees these plumerians as untouchable goals, but rather as flawed creatures she doesn’t want to associate with. Peg also realized that, in her quest for scoops, she herself had also acted rude to others. She already realized during high school that she had been selfish, but she felt that she had not been as bad as those paparazzi, because she had also attempted to help others. Now that she finally realized how much hurt this behaviour could cause however, she decided to change what she wanted to be, which was to become a documentary maker.

This sudden change cost her an extra year at university because Peg wanted to take some extra courses in the television and documentary direction of journalism. She hoped these courses would give her more chances to be hired once she graduated. However she did not take these courses in England. Peg had done so well that she was granted the opportunity to spend a semester abroad and study journalism at the New York University in New York City, where they also offer courses in broadcasting
journalism. Peg had never been to another continent before, and especially not to such a big city as New York. Going abroad to study in another country requires a great deal of independence, discipline and energy. Even Peg was afraid to take this step but she knew that this chance would come only once in her life, so she took it with both paws. The journey was tough, and Peg was afraid she would have a hard time making friends, but there was no need for fear as her fellow students were very kind and
she made some friends she still talks to, to this day. Next to these invaluable experiences, Peg could now put a foreign university on her resume. It is this resume along with her passion for journalism that earned her the occupation she now has and loves, and which will also help her to get her dream job someday.

Passionate – Overbearing – Go-Getter – Cheerful – Social Butterfly – Oblivious – Matter-of-Fact – Perfectionist – Self-Conscious – Energetic – Enthusiastic - Precise – Selfish/Selfless (depending on the situation) - Independent - Workaholic - Pragmatic

Peg’s personality can be summarized as ‘personal growth’. She has come a long way from the extremely obstinate and selfish child she once was. In fact she has grown to become a far less obstinate and selfless young woman, although she still has room for improvement. As someone with a dream as big as becoming an accomplished documentary maker, Peg has always had the necessary determination, discipline, and a dash of perfectionism needed to rise above her current self. She has, for example, been working hard at improving her journalism skills in her free time, although she did not start doing serious research on journalism until she reached the last years of her secondary education. Her determination has gone a long way in helping her, but it has also had several detrimental effects. Due to her enthusiasm and unrelenting drive, Peg may not know when to quit, and may pressure the other for information.

Throughout her life, this has led Peg to hurt others and make some enemies, and there was even a time during her third year of her secondary education when she barely had any friends. Since she had fewer and fewer friends, Peg was in danger of becoming isolated. Due to the fact that Peg’s family is not poor or divided through a divorce, this looming isolation was the first ever moment in Peg’s life where she truly experienced unhappiness, and what it was like not to have everything you want. To Peg, this experience was incredibly humbling, and it opened her eyes to her own ignorance and to the problems of those around her. She may seem serious and unapproachable at first glance, but she is actually very caring and enthusiastic, providing that she’s doing something she wants to do. Before she became absorbed by work, she was very social, loving and cheerful, so this loss hit her hard. Peg started working hard to regain some of the friends that she had lost and the same determination which helped her with her passion now helped her make these connections.

Unfortunately, as a person of extremes, Peg turned the other way around and now started ‘helping’ everyone around her almost compulsively. If she found a person she thought needed help, she would give that help to them in excessive amounts, leading to her coming across as overbearing once again. Peg made mistake after mistake, but did not let that stop her. Whereas others might see an obstacle as a scary thing, Peg merely saw, and sees, an obstacle as a challenge that could be overcome.

This does not mean that Peg’s confidence could not waver and there have been quite a few moments, since the time she was first isolated, where Peg felt insecure. Her isolation left a scar, and caused her to become self-conscious about herself and her reputation. Over the years she has started to dislike herself for her bluntness and obliviousness to others’ feelings. When such a moment of self-loathing occurs, she will try to laugh it off and pretend she is completely fine. Since she normally comes across as a confident person she is scared that others will think less of her if she talks about her troubles. Her perfectionism also adds to her stress, because she sees the negatives before she sees the positives in her work. Those mistakes or flaws also always overshadow the good points of her accomplishments, even if the mistake in question is very small. An example of this would be a spelling mistake in an essay, or forgetting a small detail during a presentation. Peg is not a genius, but she is smart enough to get above-average grades or results. Even so, she will put herself down and only point out her flaws, which annoys or even incites those who work just as hard but do not get the same results.

In order to change the opinion other plumerians have of her, Peg attended a course for performance anxiety. She did not think she had this anxiety, but she thought she could always try. It turned out that Peg indeed did not have performance anxiety, as she had no problems before or during the exam. Rather, she suffered from self-esteem issues regarding her performances. Peg, being the pragmatic plumerian that she is, immediately started tackling the problem. Since she attended this course, Peg has kept a little notebook in which she writes down how she and her classmates or colleagues did on a test or exam. She knows she can never show this to anyone as she’ll come across as an arrogant lady who tries to flaunt her skills, but doing this raised her self-esteem significantly, and Peg has kept this notebook ever since.

Every Friday night
That is when the magic happens
Deep inside a home
Resides the living room

And in the living room
Lives the tired girl
Who is glad to finally
Be done with a week of work

Plush toys and blankets
Snuggling on the couch
Add some hot cocoa or tea
A happy camper is she

And every Friday night
On that cosy couch
She turns on the telly and wonders
Which film she will see tonight

(telly = tv, film = movie for those Americans among you)

Peg enjoying a good novel
EXTRA 2: hobbies

Peg’s passion is journalism, but there are of course other things she likes and does in her free time. One of these things is baking. Peg finds that baking calms her down and helps her relieve accumulated stress. She first got into baking as a young plume when her mother taught her how to bake her favourite cookies. Ever since then sweet smells often linger in her kitchen from the pastries she baked the day before. Since she cannot eat everything she bakes herself, she often takes these pastries to her work, and as a result she came to be known as the supplier of sweets at her office, otherwise known as ‘the pastry girl’.

When the weather is nice outside, but even more when it rains, Peg likes to plop down into a chair with a drink and a good book. Many of these novels are chick-flics or thrillers, but there are also a good amount of adventure or fantasy novels, and there are quite a bit on other genres. Basically anything that can be read, will be read. She knows chick-flics like these will most likely never happen to her but it is nice to read about a relatable female character who makes stupid mistakes that she may or may not have made herself, and she often chuckles when reading these. Thrillers on the other hand bring some excitement to her day, so she likes to read them on a mellow day. Most of the books she reads are those she gets from the library, because her bookcases are already stuffed with books and novels. However, if she gets the chance, she loves to go to a used bookstore and spend hours just looking at all the different stories waiting to be read. Her favourite used bookstore is one she found once when she was on a holiday in Schotland, where there were so many books that there was only a narrow path in between the piles. That is what her ideal personal library would look like, if she had the funds.

Another thing she loves to do is to binge watch shows on Netflix or any other ‘On Demand’ service. These are not necessary high-quality shows either and can range from political drama’s to The Great British Bake Off depending on her mood. She’ll watch anything that anyone recommends her and if she’s finished with those she’ll look up random shows or rewatch old ones. Peg is one of those plums who is very interested in one topic on moment, and another one the next, and this is reflected in her watch history. Once she’ll become interested in a topic she’ll become so obsessed with it that she’ll watch show after show on the same topic even if she has no idea what she actually likes about said topic. Due to the nature of the things she watches she has accumulated lots of knowledge on tidbits and useless details that she rarely mentions to anyone for fear of being branded as a weirdo.

What many plumes don’t know, is that Peg is actually an avid knitter. Knitting is a skill her grandmother taught her, and she has thus far used it to make some of the blankets she uses at her home. She is so skilled at knitting that she is able to knit without much thought. Usually she’ll gather up a bag of yarn before she starts one of her binge-watch sessions to knit scarves and other piles of fabric which she’ll eventually turns into useful objects. Due to the fact that Peg knits almost every week, she produces more knitted material than she can actually use. To solve this surplus of materials, she has decided that she will knit clothes for sick or old animals at a local animal rescue center, or scarves and hats for the homeless to do something useful for others and to help those who have less.

Last but not least, there are some physical activities. In order to keep her body fit, Peg takes yoga classes each week. She isn’t necessarily the most agile person but the exercise moves her muscles in a different way than the running she does as a reporter after some news. She also occasionally goes to the swimming pool. Swimming is an activity that she has always been fond of and as such she is not at all a bad swimmer. Sometimes, she’ll even go down the water slide, something she used to love as a child. She’ll only do this if no-one she knows is around though. She’s not actually that good at sliding down so she’ll come out stiff as a plank, and she would like that little fact to stay hidden.

EXTRA 3: relationships

As a social butterfly, Peg has many ‘acquaintances’. Wherever she goes, she almost always sees one or more plumerians she happens to know. This skill is particularly useful if she needs specific information for some research for an article or a scoop. She’s careful to remain a name in their lives, but these relationships often don’t become more than that. Those positions are only given to a select few.

Harper (owned by me) – Harper is one of Peg’s close friends from her time in the United States. Although Peg is usually one to make friends quickly she suffered some anxiety relating to her past, and thus she had some trouble making friends. This changed when she went to see an American football match between two universities, where she bumped into the tall lad. Harper’s outgoing personality and friendly chatter drew her out of her shell and they quickly became good friends. Harper was also studying in New York at the time, and he showed her around the city, and some cool secluded shops that usually only the locals know. Peg really enjoyed the time she spent with him, and the feeling seemed to be mutual. The two were flirty for a short while, but decided they didn’t want to ruin anything that shouldn’t be ruined. Although they live on different continents they still keep in touch and speak to each other frequently. Whether something will happen or not is uncertain, but for now they would rather just be friends.

Pavelski (owned by WindmillKey, thanks for the help!) – Pavelski is a high-profile professional athlete, and one of Peg’s good friends. Peg met him in England at a charity event where Pavelski was handing out food, and autographs to any who asked. Although they are rarely able to meet in person due to Pavelski’s schedule, they can meet on Skype, or anything else with a chat. Both plumerians are competitive in their respective fields and have a penchant for reading so they had several deep conversations about sacrifices made for their dream. A favourite thing they like to do is to recommend novels to each other, or, to both buy the same novel, and discuss it afterwards. Usually they talk about these novels in a calm manner, but their conversations really get heated however when they talk about their favourite novels. Some of these novels they agree on, but on others, they just cannot agree how the meaning of the novel should be interpreted. Or, even worse, which character is the best at something. They can debate about this for hours, and it really brings out their competitive spirits. In the end though, they respect each other’s opinions and happily agree to talk about a new novel soon.

Yuleden Yorkshire – Peg would describe her relationship with this relative as ‘complicated’. By complicated she means that their relationship is currently rather strained. When Peg and Yuleden were children, they got along, although they did have some arguments at times, like children do. The two would often play hide-and-seek or ‘super detective, solver of crimes!’. However at some point their interests started to divert. Yuleden also found it difficult to accept that Peg was starting to give journalism more and more attention, at the cost of her relationships. Their family often says that the final moment they lost contact is when Peg had to move to Crewe, causing her to be unable to see Yuleden often, but both Peg and Yuleden know that if they had really wanted to, they could have kept in touch. They have not talked much over the years, although they did occasionally call to ask how the other is doing. Peg has recently started to try and rekindle their friendship, but time has widened the distance between them. Only time can tell what will happen, but Peg will do her best to reconcile.

Beatrice (not an existing plumerian, which Peg does not mind) – Beatrice is Peg’s sworn rival and eyesore colleague whom she would much rather lose than keep. The two met at MMU and were almost instant enemies. Beatrice is everything Peg despises. Beatrice is THE BIGGEST FAN EVER of everything that she likes and she is very melodramatic. She also tries to use her charms to get others to do (or buy) things for her whenever she can, but worst of all, she is smarter than Peg. Peg prides herself on her good grades that she worked hard for, but this girl who always brags about how she didn’t study, would often get better grades in uni. This incites Peg to no end even now. However Peg also knows, deep, very deep down, that she is jealous of Beatrice’s success. She knows, not through spying or anything, that regardless of what Beatrice says, she actually works hard. Peg will never admit this though. Especially not since she knows that Beatrice’s bragging actually only motivates her to work harder, and to keep going when things seem to go bad. Because there’s no way that she’ll look like a fool in front of her rival.

EXTRA 4: Story

‘8:00 AM, time to go!’ Peg stated decisively as she opened her front door and stepped into a new day and a new life. The young woman stood still for a few moments to feel the crisp autumn air blow against her face, before she briskly set off for work, swaying her tail from side to side as she walked.

For about a year now, Peg had been working for a local television channel in Manchester, UK, a job which she thoroughly enjoyed. Peg’s tasks were to interview people, on the streets but also on appointment, about anything and everything. The job was fairly stressful at times because the team was small, meaning Peg also had to take care of many things that would normally be handled by another plumerian. However Peg actually did not mind the added work. She found it fun to do and was grateful for the extra experience these tasks gave her. Although Peg loved her job, her dream was to make documentaries, so she actively sought new employment. This moment came a month ago when she got the chance to audition for a job at a television company. Unlike regular job interviews, this company required the applicant to submit a plan of action for a fictional documentary, to see what the applicant is capable of. This time’s ‘documentary’ was on educational opportunities for children from lower class families in Manchester. Peg was overjoyed to have the chance and had worked on the assignment for days.

Now that the day was finally here, she felt many butterflies in her stomach, but also excitement. Once she reached the office building where she was supposed to be, she swiftly walked inside without looking up. She knew from experience that the high building would be too intimidating for her. As the automated glass doors noiselessly closed behind her, she walked up to the counter to address the clerk.

‘Good day miss’ she spoke politely ‘my name is Peg Doris Yorkshire, I have an appointment with your director?’.
‘Ah yes, you are an applicant I presume?’ the experienced clerk answered cheerfully, knowing full well how nerve-wracking such an audition could be. ‘Mr Banks has indeed been expecting you. His office is on the sixth floor, room number 6.34.’

Peg thanked the clerk and headed towards the elevator. She knew she had worked hard and did the best she could, but what if her questions were too simple, or too much of the same? Such were the questions she asked herself as the elevator moved up. Once the metal doors opened Peg exited the elevator swiftly and headed for the office, or, so she thought. She was still unfamiliar with the floorplan and had to go through the embarrassing moment of walking past the same plumerians twice. Fortunately these plumerians told her the way to Mr Banks’ office and with a knock on his door, she entered the room.

The room looked more like a storage room than an office. It was small, square, and brightly lit by a big window. In the middle of the room stood a big desk with chairs on both sides, with newspapers stacked on top of it and coffee stains on the surface. Bookcases stuffed with books and files on any and all kinds of topics lined the wall, and more piles of writing were laid out in front of these bookcases. Behind the desk sat a stocky plumerian with rimmed glasses who was too engrossed in his work to look up.

‘Hello Mr Banks.’ Peg started, hoping she could grab his attention. ‘My name is Peg Doris Yorkshire. I am here to review my plans for the documentary I was asked to make.’
‘Ah hmm… yes, I read your plan. It was… interesting. Sit down please.’ Mr Banks replied while gesturing towards the chair in the front. Peg’s heart started to beat faster. Interesting? she thought. What does that mean? Is that good or bad?? It’s bad, isn’t it? Peg thought frantically as she tried to keep her cool.

After what seemed like ages, but was probably closer to a few minutes, Mr Banks put his papers down and looked up. ‘So! You are here for the evaluation!’ Mr Banks suddenly said in a booming voice, startling Peg. ‘Y-yes I am!’ Peg quickly answered.
‘Oh, did I startle you?’ Mr Banks said with a laugh, ‘Sorry that tends to happen when I read something interesting. I mean you no harm, really!’ he added when he saw Peg’s bewildered expression. ‘Now that that’s over let’s look at your submission, shall we?’ He pushed his glasses back on his nose and picked up the file that Peg had so carefully labelled. ‘How do you think you did?’ Mr Banks asked Peg. Peg straightened her shoulders, put her hands in her lap and looked straight at the cheerful plumerian. ‘From the moment I started working on my application I endeavoured to be the best I can be. I did ample research on the topic and the questions, and I rewrote every part of it until it was the best I could make it. I know that I lack experience in this field, but as I have gained experience in several disciplines such as editing, writing and reporting I feel that I can be a great asset to this company.’

‘Hmmmm…’ Mr Banks mumbled in response. ‘I think you are right.’ He finally said in agreement.
‘Really?’ Peg asked in pleased surprise.
‘Yes. You had me right from the start, and although there are many things you still need to learn, you do have the potential. I think you can pull it off, but it will be hard work.’
‘That will not be a problem Sir, I assure you I will learn the ropes in no time!’ Peg said with a huge grin. Finally, she could begin working towards her dream, on the dawn of a new day!
