Name: Morren
Gender: M
Personality: Protector of the small. Morren seeks out those in need, trying to protect them from harm. He adores justice, and looks up to powerful warriors of legend who fought for the weak and needy. He always puts others before his own needs, even losing sleep to protect whoever needs him.
Whats the purpose of his armor? It keeps his soul in his body. He removes the helmet to sleep, but nothing else. If he were to remove it all, he'd leave his body and become a ghost. Nobody knows why his soul is so detached, but they will probably never know, as the secret is known only to him.

Name: Paradigm Zephyr

Paradigm prefers to keep to himself although sometimes his heart may tell you different.
His courage and bravery has always seemed to impress people, but to be honest, Paradigm had never truly
not been afraid when he had done so many fur ruffling things. Since childhood, he was always called
"Little Z" since he was the little brother. He hated being called such an embarrassing nickname just because
he was tiny. Although his mother never called him that, he still can't help but feel she looked down at him
as if he were helpless compared to his brother, Kodiak. His brother Kodiak and him had always been close, but
it now pains him to see him grow so cold. As Paradigm grew, he had already known what he wanted to become
to contribute to the universe; a Constellational Viscet. His mother was so proud when Kodiak had chosen the same
path; so was everyone else. But when Paradigm chose that path as well, everyone laughed- even slightly his own mother. Only one Viscet didn't, and her name was Nova- the Scorpio Constellational Viscet who took him in as her apprentice. Zen never knew what she saw in him, but he would always be forever grateful for her faith in him, for she was his first star he gained. As he grew into a certified Guardian Viscet, (The closest rank to Constellational), he began to mature and become a very wise Viscet. Even his peers began to respect him and treat him as an equal; only did his brother turn his gaze away. Darkness was obvious in his heart, and it was as if it were whispering to him..And for some reason, it was as if no one noticed except Zen. Perhaps it was a sign- a sign of warning, for what was yet to come.

Skyforge Armour is what all solidified Constellational Viscets wear once they gain enough believers. What is a Constellational Viscet you ask? Well, to start from the beginning, each Viscet is born a small star in Zen's realm; and as they grow older, they decide how they'd like to serve in keeping the universe in balance. There are many ranks, but the most respected of all are the Constellational Viscets, which are the most well known and hardest rank to get. The main goal to become a Constellational Viscet is to gain belief and respect from other Viscets. People don't follow a leader, they follow a vision; and to become something this big, is very rare, and usually only occurs in the darkest of times. As the Viscet advances toward their Constellational goal, as they gain a belief/respect of another, they will gain a new star on their pelt. And as they gain more and more, more stars appear. The common Zodiac signs you obviously know about are the most well-known Constellational Viscets known to Viscethood.
Image
To be more down to point, Skyforge Armour is only made for full fledged Constellational Viscets that have earned their ranks among the Top Twelve Zodiac Viscets. The Armour is forged from Comets and pure energy, which is used to heat the metal from the Comet and weld it into the unbreakable Skyforge Armour you see currently on Paradigm. Each set of Armour is uniquely hand crafted and made to fit the Viscet's style of combat. So, naturally, each design has their own complications that are perked to only abide the certain Viscet. However, in significance to Paradigm's helmet piece, the gem from which sits on his brow is an infinity stone- an unlimited source of pure energy. Before you ask- no, none of the other Constellational Viscets have this power, and yes, only Zen has the power to use it; but for a cost each time it is used. This stone was given to him for safekeeping, so no, he didn't randomly obtain it...

Light- That was the very first thing Zen sensed from the peaceful darkness in his wake. Soft, murmured voices were around him as faint shadowy figures came into view from what surrounded him. As a soft cooing voice from not too far away mixed with the others'- one that made him feel so warm and tingly inside. "This one has his mother's eyes," commented one, "Oh I just love a good hatching! They always manage to bring everyone together." exclaimed an excited but wary voice beside the other. "Oh, for goodness sake Misty, could you possibly make less ruckus than the Devourer itself?" Snapped the other once more. "The Devourer? I'll give you Devourer, Mr. Snoring Disaster!" Misty shot back. "Please," said the sweet voice again. "Don't fight here." The two instantly bowed their heads respectfully. "Forgive us.." they murmured. Zen struggled at the barricade around him; the soft crunching as he did so filled him with playful delight as he did so. "Here comes the other!" remarked another strange voice. Pushing harder, Zen could feel the barricade loosening. Then suddenly, it gave easier than he had expected and light came flooding out around him. It was all so bright and colorful at the same time- the structures around him, the strange clouds, even the sweet scents and smells filled him with such curiosity. His eyes widened as figures around him clustered to stare at him. "How odd Nebula, if I'm not mistaken, he has his grandfather's eyes. How delightful." Said a deep, but old voice. A soft tail wrapped around his body and lifted him to a beautiful figure with dazzling, purple eyes. "You are indeed correct, Leo. He does have his grandfather's eyes...how peculiar." Her voice sent lovely shivers down his spine, making him feel so warm with praise. She was so warm and soft, it was as if he were lying beside a cloud. Zen yawned; somehow, he felt as though he hadn't rested in ages. Another soft body brushed agenst him, but Zen didn't look to see who it was, for his eyes had grown heavy, and his tail had already curled around his tiny body.
"Sleep well, my sons..." his mother murmured softly.

Paradigm's breath was knocked out of him as for what seemed to billionth time of Kodiak wrestling with him excitedly. "Pinned you again!" he announced triumphantly. "Get off already.." Paradigm grunted. Their mother let out a soft laugh and pushed Kodiak off of him. "Don't be so rough with your brother, Kodiak. I don't want your pelt's too ruffled for when you choose who you'll be apprenticed to." It had only been a year since Zen had hatched, and it was as though time itself had flew by. A day from now, and Zen would choose his future of how he'd like to serve in keeping the universe in balance. It was a tough decision, knowing that he couldn't go back on his word once he chose, and also realizing that he'd serve whatever position he chose until his very last breath. Paradigm shook his head; "It's alright, mother. I can handle it." he said, and tucked into a crouch once more; his tail swinging back and forth in wait for his brother to attack once more. Just as Kodiak was about to pounce once more, a rustling from the undergrowth interrupted them. Kodiak instantly shifted into a crouch and ushered Zen into the bushes with him. Sticking his nose in the air, the familiar stench of another Viscet caught his tongue. "I bet it's uncle Marsh again..." he announced quietly. "Once he comes around the corner, we pounce!" he said excitedly, his eyes brimming with mischief. But Zen shuffled uncertainly into a crouch, "but what if it isn't him?" he murmured. But Kodiak wasn't listening, for he was already advancing toward the noise, his rear legs bunched and ready. "Hurry up!" he hissed. Paradigm cautiously padded along side his brother, and just as the Viscet was about to emerge, Kodiak let out a battle cry and tackled him with Zen close behind. The first thing Zen noticed was that it wasn't Marsh- and he had been right all along. It was a complete stranger, yet for some reason, he seemed so familiar to Zen. It was as if he were someone he knew his entire life, yet he knew nothing about the stranger. The Brute let out a surprised grunt and almost toppled over on his side from the hard impact of Kodiak and Paradigm. Stumbling into the clearing, the stranger roughly shook them off. "What's the meaning of this?! And I thought your mother had the sense of teaching her children manners.." the stranger growled as he smoothed his pelt. Zen shook off the dust and as the cloud cleared, he was awed to see a sunset gold colored brute with Glowing amber eyes and uncountable amounts of stars shown brightly speckled all over him. Zen was dumbstruck; "What are you?" he wondered with awe and curiosity brimming in his eyes. "Sorry, we thought you were our Uncle Marsh." he added quickly. The stranger let out a perplexed grin at his question, "Well, at least someone doesn't know of me." Kodiak lept to his paws as their mother, Nebula, scampered over. "Good to see you, Capricorn. I hope these two rascals didn't give you any trouble.." she said, dipping her head politely while shooting Paradigm and Kodiak a sharp look. Capricorn dipped his head in return, but shook his head. "Trouble? No, no, my dear. Just a bit of an misunderstanding.." he said, sneaking a wink over to Kodiak and Zen. Nebula narrowed her eyes, but they eventually softened as she glanced at her two excited sons. "Alright," she murmured and flicked her tail, "I'll be over at the stream with Aunt Misty if you need me." she said silkily and passed them by without another word. Kodiak was the first to speak with excitement pulsing through him. "Are you really Capricorn? Thee Capricorn? The one who helped defeat The Devourer?!" he asked eagerly. Capricorn let out an amused grunt and nodded before settling down with his tail curled around his paws. Zen mimicked him and sat; eager to hear what he had to say. "Yes, I am Thee Capricorn, boy. And you better believe it too." he said with a smirk. "Then is it true you're part of the Constellational Viscets? Are you in the 12th Inner circle?!" he squeaked with amazement. "What else would I be? Of course I'm a Constellational Viscet, where else would I get so many stars? And yes, of course I'm in the 12th Inner Circle, boy. They can barely manage without me since I'm head of it after all." Kodiak's mouth dropped and a big grin surfaced over it. "Then why did you come to see us? Are you here to watch the apprenticement ceremony? Are you here to get an apprentice?" The last word came out sharp, and Capricorn couldn't help himself but chuckle. "Indeed, I came to watch the apprentice ceremony..And as for an apprentice, I don't think I'll be receiving one this year. After all, it's only the bravest and the truest of hearts that make it through the Trials to become a Constellational Viscet." Kodiak lept and did a mid-swipe in the air and landed on his paws. "I'm brave, I could do it!" he yipped excitedly. "I'm sure you could." Capricorn chuckled. Kodiak continued to swarm Capricorn with all sorts of questions while showing off his sneaking and battle skills he had learned from Marsh since he was a retired Star Warrior, but as Capricorn continued to speak, Zen listened with pricked ears; his heart almost echoing every word spoken about honor, bravery, courage, trust, respect, and belief. It was some time before Paradigm got to his paws as well, admiration glinting in his eyes. "I could do it too." Kodiak seemed to freeze, and throw himself into a bundle of laughter a moment later. "You? A pipsqueak who can barely defend himself wants to be a Constellational Viscet!?" Kodiak scoffed and puffed out his chest. "You're leagues away from something like that...maybe you should just be the Skyforge Smith's apprentice. That way, you'll be out of my way, 'Little Z'." he said with a cold smirk. Capricorn said nothing, smoothed his pelt, and glanced up at the sky, "It's almost time.." he murmured and got to his paws. "I must take my leave now, Visclings. I will see you at the ceremony." and with that, Capricorn left. It had been a long day, but it was strangely hard for Paradigm to fall asleep that night. His mother's tail wrapped around him and his brother protectively as always while she slept, and that had always seemed to comfort, Paradigm. But now, it made him feel so small.
Smaller than he felt before. Smaller than what he wanted to become.
Image
Paradigm awoke to being prodded excitedly by Kodiak, "Come on, come on, come on! It's almost time for the Ceremony!" he yipped excitedly. Shaking his head, Zen got to his paws. "What will I choose?" he wondered, yet his heart had already chosen all along. However, he wasn't sure whether he even had the guts to admit what he wanted to become. "They'll just laugh at me.." he thought miserably. His mother's voice snapped him out of his thoughts as Kodiak continuously wriggled from their mother's grasp. "Mom! I can groom myself, I don't need your help anymore!" he yelped as her tail barred his way from freedom. "This is the last time that you have slept in my den, ate the prey I've provided for you, protected you, and this will be the last time I can care for you! So you better let me groom you one last time, because you'll be doing it yourself for the rest of your life!" she snapped crossly back; her eyes filled with pride and sorrow. Uncle Marsh and Aunt Misty had showed up later that afternoon, their Aunt slightly baring tears, "They grow up too fast", she had said hoarsely. Their mother and her had gotten carried away together in deep conversation of when their ceremony had taken place, while their Uncle Marsh had taken Paradigm and Kodiak aside privately, baring wisdom of the future, and wishing them the best of luck. "I'm sure you both already have decided, correct?" he asked, his brow raised slightly. To that question, Kodiak had instantly risen and gave a whole speech about his future, and how powerful of a Constellational Viscet he would be. Uncle Marsh had enjoyed his little rant for a while, but shook his head as soon as he heard the word "power" too much. "Power doesn't always bring glory...especially if it is used for selfish reasons." he had warned before turning to Zen with his brow raised. "You've been unusually quiet today, Zen." he said, for once not calling him by his pitiful nickname. Paradigm gulped; he was lost for words, and sighed as his Uncle persisted. "So, do you know what you'd like to be?" he paused as awkward silence prevailed. "Ah, indeed you have...so why are you so embarrassed, boy? Speak up." he prompted once more. By now, Kodiak had left to carry on his speech to their mother excitedly, in fact, Paradigm could still hear him from across the clearing. "Don't worry about them, you can tell your Uncle anything. And if you feel too shy, then that's alright." Zen simply nodded in response, his eye avoiding contact. "Just know this, Doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will.." and with that, his uncle left and escorted his mate from the clearing after bidding them farewell; "See you at the ceremony!" they had both chorused together as they left. A few hours later, Nebula lead her sons to the Stonehenge Square- a ceremonial place for announcements, coronations, secret conferences for Constellational Viscets, declarations of war, and of course, apprenticeships. The 12 Constellational Viscets were already perched around Sky Rock- the Ideal and main place for all announcements/events. Thier brightly colored pelts illuminating brightly in the darkening night. The stars were just beginning to show themselves in the growing twilight, and a cool breeze began to caress the landscape. Paradigm padded closely behind his mother, his paws seemed to quiver with both excitement and nervousness. It was so unbelieveable to be there; he felt as though time had shifted too soon. Taking their places in the clearing made to accommodate room for the future apprentices, Paradigm glanced at his mother who was sitting in the front row, her eyes sparkling with pride and tears. Looking down the row of other Visclings like himself, he was surprised to see that there were only 4 of them in all- including himself. "Nervous as well?" asked a kind voice. Paradigm flinched slightly as he locked eyes with the most beautiful Viscet he'd ever met. A bright blue fae stood before him with feather pink eyes, from which were filled with compassion and excitement. An awkward silence passed between them until with red ears, Paradigm realized she was waiting for a response. "Y-yeah.." he stammered awkwardly as he turned away, flushing red. The fae took no notice of his sudden shyness, and looked around at the crowd around him. "I am a bit too...If there weren't so many Viscets here, it'd probably be way easier." she replied; her pelt puffing out as she continued. "Since I'm quite fascinated in history and magic, I've decided to try for the Rune Keeper's Apprentice." Zen's ear pricked; the Rune Keeper was a very mysterious Viscet, and she didn't tend to show herself often in public, but the most unusual thing about her, was her unreadable expression, and a strange red glowing stone she always carried with her around her neck. The duty of the Rune Keeper was also another mystery; to be honest, no one really knows what she tends to, only that it has to do with ancient knowledge. Knowledge to be passed on from Keeper to Keeper for generations. It is a very important job, and a noble way to serve in keeping balance as well. The only catch really, was weather the Rune Keeper would Accept her as an apprentice. It was only customary for the Mentor to choose their apprentice, and after all, not all are cut out for the position they desire. And this, was Paradigm's worst fear at the moment. To be rejected from which his heart wished to become- to be cast away from his dream because he was so small. Paradigm sighed, he wasn't sure if he could do this anymore. ""What if they all laugh at me? Am I truly too small?" he thought helplessly. The fae's confident voice once again drew him from his thoughts, "I'm Constance, by the way." she said as her eyes reflected the evening sky as she spoke her name. "That's a beautiful name.." He murmured, and followed her gaze to the sky, "I'm Paradigm, but you can call me Zen for short." As Constance was about to reply, she was cut off by a voice that rose above the others'. "Alright! Let us begin one of the most ancient, traditional, and important ceremony that has been preformed since the beginning of the 12th Circle!" yowled a deep voice with high authority. "It's Capricorn!" said Zen, his eyes studying the familiar sunset gold pelt that glinted in the moonlight. The other 11 Constellational Viscets gathered around the Sky Rock and faced the crowd; some with kind expression, others with stiff faces and bird-like eyes lacking emotion. Paradigm shifted nervously on his hunches; it was time. Capricorn waited until he felt that the crowd had settled down and that he had their attention before speaking; his eyes glowing as he spoke. "The time has now come to acknowledge Apprentices and graduates, then we shall see to the new Visclings that will receive new mentors." Shaking his pelt, he motioned with pride to a beautiful frost pelted fae with a silvery pelt and amazing blue eyes. "I give you your newest full member, Star Warriors, Frost, your new commanding officer!" Capricorn announced proudly. Cheers and howls of approval filled the air, until finally the clearing once again fell into an agitating silence once the graduates had taken their rightful ranks. "And now for the apprenticement." Capricorn's voice rang across the clearing as he lept down from Sky Rock and padded over to the four Visclings before him. Paradigm felt as though the whole world were staring at him. "Let us begin with this youngster." Capricorn said, beckoning a black, fiery Viscling that stood beside Constance with blue eyes that showed with pride as he pranced into the center of the clearing. "What is your name, and what rank do you wish to become?" Capricorn asked. The young brute beamed as he spoke, his eyes twinkling. "I am Alister, son of Twilight and Otoko, and I want to become a Star Warrior." he announced. Capricorn flicked his tail and 3 Star Warriors emerged from the crowd, including Frost. "Why do you wish to become a Star Warrior?" her surprisingly firm voice rang out. Alister looked around slightly, and nervously clawed at the ground beneath him. "I want to become one because...my father and grandfather before me have served the universe the same way, and I wish to carry on and pass on this honor so that my ancestors will be proud." he answered, his voice louder than he had originally intended. To this, Frost seemed satisfied with his answer. "A wise cause," she said and circled Alister slowly inexamination. "Very well. You will train under my supervision; I accept you as my Apprentice." A round of cheers rang out in the clearing until Constance was called into the clearing, her eyes sparkling with confidence as she announced her name and what she'd like to become. A tense and surprised silence entered the clearing as Twilight, the current Rune Keeper, stepped from the shadows. "Why do you wish to become a Rune Keeper, child?" she asked eerily. Constance met Twilight's eyes and glanced down in wonder at the stone around the Keeper's neck as she spoke, "I wish to become a Keeper because I wish to fill my heart with knowledge. I want to serve the Universe in keeping it's secrets so that none may try to conceive evil when they need knowledge that I may deny them." she finished. Twilight studied Constance closely; then finally replied, "Knowledge is a dangerous weapon that can only be trusted to those who will not use it agenst you or those that you care about. Are you sure you're willing to make this sacrifice for knowledge?" she inquired. Constance took a moment, and nodded. "Very well, I accept you as my Apprentice, Constance." Twilight conceded. As another Viscet was called and rejected, Paradigm stared at the stars above him; Silently pleading that his ancestors could hear him as he prayed for courage. Capricorn's sharp voice shook him from his thoughts as his brother, Kodiak was called to the clearing. Kodiak gave his mother a loving look, before scampering into the clearing with pride and ambition in his eyes. "I am Kodiak, son of Thorin and Nebula. I wish to become a Constellational Viscet." Murmurs of surprise and yowls of approval from Uncle Marsh and Misty echoed through the clearing until the Constellational Viscets stepped forward; their pelts glimmering in the shadow of the Sky Rock. "Why do you wish to become a Constellational Viscet?" grunted one. Kodiak shuffled, but remained prideful as he spoke, "I wish to unlock my inner courage, and protect those that are in need of my help." he replied. The Constellational Viscets murmured amongst each other until finally a dark purple one spoke above the rest. "I am Virgo, and I will accept you as my apprentice boy, but only if you agree that you will work hard." Kodiak nodded vigorously, and glanced at his mother proudly. Taking his place with his new mentor, Paradigm's mouth went suddenly dry as he was called to the front. Shakily, Zen made his way across the clearing and stood in front of Capricorn. Glancing at his mother, Uncle Marsh caught his eye, and instantly, Paradigm felt his words from what he had said before, "Doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will..". Clinging onto those words, Paradigm spoke, "My name is Paradigm Zephyr, and I too wish to become a Constellational Viscet!" Shocked waves of silent and faint laughter echoed through the clearing; even Zen's own brother was chuckling under his breath. Paradigm hung his head, and spoke once more once he was questioned why he'd like to become one. "I-I wish to..learn honor, bravery, courage, trust, respect, and belief. I want to unlock my true self and ability to my full extent." he said, his heart pounding in his ears as he spoke. The Constellational Viscets murmured to each other closely, then an ocean blue brute spoke, "But you could just as easily join the Star Warriors, boy. Why should we bother teaching someone that can barely defend himself?" Paradigm studied the ground, "I can learn to defend myself...isn't that the point of your teachings?" he asked, and for some reason, Zen felt suddenly more confident. More whispers- then another spoke, this time a dark fae spoke. "If you were to become a Constellational Viscet, what do you think you would achieve?" she asked, her eyes studying him sharply. "I-I do not know what I would achieve...only of what would become...and as my grandfather had once said, only those who dare to fail greatly, can ever achieve great things. And I am truly willing to fail...as long as I am able to get back up again and learn from my mistakes, I can do anything." After he finished, the minutes of tense silence dragged on as though they were hours passing by. Capricorn cleared his throat; an apologetic look surfaced his face. Zen hung his head- he knew what was coming. "Looks like I can't achieve anything.." he thought, his eyes blurring. Just as Capricorn was about to speak, the dark fae spoke suddenly- "I accept you, Paradigm Zephyr, as my apprentice!" her firm voice rang across the clearing, leaving gasps in surprise. Zen felt dumbfounded, he had done it! He was going to train as a Constellational Viscet! His new Mentor weaved her way toward him, and touched his nose on greeting. "I am Nova, but better known as Scorpio." Zen dipped his head, his eyes wide with amazement. "What may I call you?" asked Zen. "You may call me Nova." she replied simply, but put her tail over his mouth before he had the chance to ask anymore questions. "We will speak later, for now, just pay attention to Capricorn." Zen nodded, and turned to face him. Glancing over at his family, he was surprised to see how proud they all were. From where he was, he could faintly hear what they were saying; "Both of my sons......Constellational V-......Ancestors prote-.." Capricorn's voice cut off the last part, causing Paradigm to cringe slightly. "May our ancestors smile upon this day, and approve of our choices! You've all done well this season, and I look forward to another peaceful among all of you! As for this gathering, I believe this has officially come to an end."

Paradigm awoke to the soft singing of birds outside of his mother's den. But he didn't want to open his eyes, for he was savoring the most wonderful dream- he'd just became a full Constellational Viscet, one of the highest ranks; his mother and family were so proud, and all was right with the world as he battled evil from the ends of the universe. Of course it was a lie, he'd never have an actual chance of becoming a Constellational Viscet; but it was still a beautiful thought. A paw prodded Paradigm, forcing an eye open. It was Kodiak, his eyes filled with excitement. "Come on, It's our first day of training!" he exclaimed excitedly. Zen's eyes widened, "So it wasn't a dream! I really am an apprentice!" he yipped excitedly and got to his paws excitedly. Last night had been the most tense, excruciating, and surprising night, and now, Zen was about to learn the very basics. Nova was already waiting for him in the training hollow, along with Vaega, Kodiak's new mentor. "Looks like we're training together," said Zen, nudging his brother playfully. Kodiak sniffed, and said nothing; shouldering passed Paradigm as if he were only air. "What's with him?" he wondered with narrowed eyes. Bounding to each of their mentors, battle training was first to be tested. Of course like always, Kodiak was first to pin Paradigm. And although Zen fought back the best he could, he always managed to get pushed down the more he tried. Laying dormant on the ground, dust stung his eyes as he was once again pushed to the ground. Kodiak pranced around proudly, his tail high in the air. Sighing, his ears drooped over his face slightly as Nova sat beside him. "Again," she ordered. Zen shook his head crossly; "Why don't you just give up already? It's obvious I'll never make the cut for the end of the season..So why don't you just send me back?" he snapped, his eyes blurring once more at the chuckle he heard from behind him. Nova didn't seem surprised by his outburst and simply said as she got to her paws, "A person who falls and gets back up to try again is stronger than the person that fell. Falling down is apart of Life. Getting back up is living." Her voice was calm, but Paradigm sensed fire in those words. Turning, Nova padded back to sit beside Vaega, her eyes expectant. Getting to his paws, Paradigm turned to face Kodiak once more, his eyes filled with determination. Spreading his paws out as Nova had once advised, he waited for his opponent. With a smirk, Kodiak charged Paradigm, his ears blown back as he raced toward his brother. Instead of charging in turn, Zen remained where he firmly was; "Just a little closer.." he thought as his brother was only a tail length away. Just as Kodiak was about to collide with Paradigm, he dodged away; his tail whipping wildly as Kodiak, wide-eyed, crashed into the ground. Seizing his opportunity, Zen lept onto his brother; forcing him down with his weight. After wrestling with him in a cloud of dust, as the air cleared, Zen appeared on top of Kodiak; pinning him to the ground. Kodiak's eyes were wide with surprise, but they soon darkened into something unreadable. Eyes sparkling, Zen turned to his Mentor, who stood, and nodded with approval obvious in her stride. "Very good," she congratulated. Suddenly, a slight sting on Zen's left shoulder singed his fur, and a bright glow appeared. "A star!" he gasped as he studied it closely. It was a dark star that twinkled brightly, with a slight purple/red aura that illuminated from it beautifully. Nova stood perched beside Vaega, her eyes glinting as she looked at her apprentice. "I believe in you.."

As the countless months and years had gone by, Zen continued to learn to believe in himself- his amazement to what he could truly accomplish if he continued to believe in himself helped him rise above his constant fears of being rejected because of his size or what he looked like. It didn't matter- he realized, and continued to try new things. Without even realizing, sometimes he even received another star just by meeting someone new. Kodiak wasn't too far behind either, with almost more stars than any of the other apprentices. But for some reason, Kodiak had seemed to have drifted away from Zen. Away from their brotherly bond, away from their once close friendship. He'd became more competitive, and more self serving than before; but no one had really seemed to have noticed except for Paradigm. Sometimes, Zen would see his nest empty in their den and he wouldn't return until first light; but for some reason, he didn't seem to falter during training. When questioned about his absence by Paradigm, he simply answered, "I like going on walks at night, it's peaceful." or something like, "It's none of your business of what I do in my free time." His avoidance from the truth had driven a wedge between Paradigm and Kodiak to the core of their relationship. No longer friends or even considering themselves brothers, they no longer speak to one another, or even acknowledge each other's existence. Driven to see what his brother was up to, Paradigm snuck out after him, keeping low to the soft ground beneath him as he did so. Tracking his brother to a dark cave away from camp, the strong scent of another Viscet confused him; he'd never scented this Viscet before. "Are you sure you haven't been followed?" a mysterious voice asked. Kodiak nodded and crouched eagerly, "I'm ready for you to teach me some new moves tonight. See?" he said, doing a stranger leap into the air, swiping, and landing easily on his paws. As Zen inched forward, a shadowy figure with auburn violet eyes and dark stars that glittered darkly in the shadows. "Indeed, you have grown vastly; as has you strength. Which is what I'm in need of-" she cut off as her body shuddered and she coughed painfully. Gathering herself up once more, she turned to him once more, sharply. "I need to bring me that stone that's possession of those cursed Keepers...if you do this for me boy, I promise you, you will receive what you've been training for...dominance even over the Constellational Viscets, power beyond your recognition, and a place by my side when I take my place as leader..." she paced slightly before continuing, "My strength is faltering...and soon I'll be forgotten and crumble into dust..but if you get me that stone, boy....I will find salvation...and teach you the rest of what I know, so that you may complete your training." her voice once again dissipated into a cough; her tail dragging behind her as she made her way over to Kodiak. Kodiak winced as a burning sensation took place on his chest, and a new star appeared. "I-I believe in you, boy. You have earned my respect." she croaked. Kodiak seemed momentarily surprised, then dipped his head, with pride and honor in his eyes. "Thank you, Lilith." he said as he bowed his head. "No, thank you, boy..." she seemed to have whispered, then disappeared into the depths of the cave.

Paradigm raced after his brother desperately- he had to put an end to this madness; he had to stop him before it was too late. Kodiak was already perched outside the Cave of Knowledge, where Twilight and her apprentice, Constance resided. He had followed his dark mentor deep into the cave- where Paradigm didn't dare follow in fear of them discovering him; so instead, he raced as fast as he could to their cave. Kodiak disappeared into the cave as soon as he deemed the coast was clear- out of sight under cover of the shadows. "Kodiak, stop this m-!" he shouted and was cut off as he burst in the cave and the scent of blood stung his nose. "Constance!" he silently yowled in panic and raced further down the caverns. Bright light flashed; blinding Paradigm as he entered the main cavern. Shouts of battle echoed as Kodiak fought Twilight, her eyes wide with surprise and rage pulsing through them. Using his training from his mistress, Kodiak snapped the stone from Twilight's neck; "No!!" her terrified howl echoed through the chamber as dark light flashed and unleashed from the stone. It was as if an underground storm had been unleashed as the stone grew brighter and brighter- a sudden howl of pain and surprise followed from Kodiak as the stone seemed to grow brighter and brighter. Screaming in pain, Kodiak tumbled to the ground- it was as if the stone itself was devouring him. "No!" shouted Paradigm as he raced to his brother's aid. Grasping the stone in desperation to free him- ripping at the leather desperately- but it didn't give way. A loud cackle echoed through the Hollow as Lilith entered. "I told you boy, I needed your strength...and now once your spirit is devoured, I'll be the most powerful Viscet in the Universe; all thanks to you.." Kodiak's whole body glowed and part of him began to vanish within the stone, his eyes locking with Paradigm's before he disappeared completely. "No!!" howled Paradigm; painfully. All of what was left of Kodiak was one white hair glinting in the dim light of the cave; Paradigm sniffed as the stone before him glimmered and glowed as it had never done before. Constance crouched beside her mentor, her head bent in fear as she tended her wounds. Lilith inched closer, her eyes glowing as she neared the stone. "Step away, boy..before you end up just like him.." she said, her coy stance almost circling him. "Never.." he snarled, and grabbed the necklace by the leather binding. Lilith chuckled, "What do you intend to do, hmm? You may be able to touch it now, but if you use it's power, you'll be devoured too you, know.." she seemed to purr. Paradigm closed his eyes; taking a deep breath, and opened them, his eyes full of compassion; "So be it." Power pulsed through Paradigm as he touched the stone; his eyes glowed as he stood before her; "No.." she hissed as he took a step forward; "No, no, NO!" she shouted as a blinding flash of light struck; a pile of ash from where she had once stood was all that remained. A sudden glow over Paradigm's body took place- his eyes full of tears, "It was worth it.." he thought as a bright flash devoured his sight; until all that lingered was darkness.

Light- that was the first thing Paradigm sensed from the dark abyss he felt as though he drifted upon. Opening his eyes, a bright blurr singed him; but as they adjusted, Constance stood in front of him with the most peculiar look upon her face as her beautiful voice murmured, "He's finally awake.." Twilight stepped into view, her eyes studying him fiercely. "He'll be fine, just get him something to eat." she said, beckoning her apprentice. A glow caught his eye- the crystal still hung from his neck. Paradigm got to his paws dizzily, "W-what happened?" he asked, his throat dry. "After you used the stone, the stone recognized that you were willing to sacrifice yourself in turn just to save us, and thus, a new guardian has been chosen for the stone." said Twilight, her eyes twinkling to his surprised face. "And..what about Kodiak?" he asked. Twilight's eyes clouded; "I'm afraid his soul was devoured in order for you to use the stone's power, but in turn, I believe a little of him still remains in the stone since it is still glowing.." Paradigm glanced down at the stone; it was still glowing, but how could she be sure he was still alive? "So...the stone is mine?" he asked uncertainly. Twilight nodded, "The stone won't accept any other Keeper once it has chosen." she said simply, and returned to sorting and listing down herbs "But...how can I be a Keeper and a Constellational Viscet? Will I have to change? Will I have to become a Keeper?" he asked, his voice couldn't help but show concern. Twilight chuckled slightly, "That is up to you. Do you want to be a Keeper? I wouldn't think so..." she said with a smirk. Constance bounded back with a rabbit in her jaws, "Eat this," she said, nosing it toward him. Murmuring his thanks, Zen ate quickly. "They're waiting for you.." she said and beckoned him. Getting to his paws, he swayed slightly, but forced himself steady as he made his way outside. Sudden cheers broke out from a huge crowd as they swarmed him; his mother, Nebul, raced to him with pride and tears. That night, Paradigm was rewarded with his graduation as a full Constellational Viscet, and his Armour was specially crafted; encrusting the stone upon his brow. "Paradigm, I now call upon you into our ranks, as a full Constellational Viscet! I now name you, Aries, watcher of the skies, and Guardian of the Infinity Stone!" Capricorn's voice rang across the clearing. Cheers erupted as he was congratulated and swarmed with questions. Soon, after everyone had left, Paradigm remained perched on Sky Rock flanking Constance who sat beside him; her head on his shoulder as they looked at the night sky above them; "No matter how many times I break down," he murmured, "There is always a little piece of me that says, 'No, you're not done yet.
Get back up!"
