A'hwai's favourite plant is sage, not only because of it's medicinal and culinary properties but also because of it's scent.
The smell of burning sage during a smudging ceremony is the only thing that can temporarily still A'hwai's constant restlessness and need for movement. It is during this time that she regains her energy and finds a soothing peace.

Is fond of philosophy, and a great believer in Socrates, leading to the study of poison hemlock [has a bad habit of following tangents]. Then became interested in studying the healing effects of the poisonous plant~

Is very solitary, and spends majority of xir time mulling things over in nature. Xir frequently finds lost travellers and asks them a question of ethics--if they pass, then xi heals and guides them. If they fail, then xi orchestrates a way for nature to avenge itself.
Is very stubborn and in-tune with nature. Those that believe in harming the world will never coexist alongside xir.
Believes that humans are too far separated from the natural world, and are inherently evil.
