Despite his age Yas gives the impression of being very wise, mature beyond his years. He has experienced more in his short life they most do in a life time. From these experiences he has learned a lot about himself and therefore he is also percieved as very down to earth.

One of the life lessons that he learned is that he can be very emotional, but he doesn't let his feelings get the best of him. He keeps them in check in all situations and keeps his calm.

Being honest is something he values greatly, bot in himself and in others. The problem with this is that he can be more hurtfull than what was intende since he's always brutally honest when expressing his dislikes and his feelings.

Yas is also very compassionate and caring about those around him, so whenever he's said something a little to honest and sees it hurt whoever he spoke to he tries to repair the damage that he has caused. Being on the best foot with everyoe he knows is one of his toop priorities.

He also tries to tie new knots of friendship whenever it is possible. If he sees someone in pain or in sorrow he always tries hard to connect with them, in so doing he believes that he can make them feel better no matter the circumstance that has caused their initial mood.

Yas loves tales and stories about adventures and often following his urge to explore, he will go to great lengths to discover things for himself. Even though he enjoys the stories of adventures he feels that he himself has to experience them in order to be satisfied.

Yas is a highly intelligent plumerian. He's quick to think on his feet and is extremely innovative. He able to "think fast" and "talk slow" which has helped him in many situations.

Even though his high intelligence makes people believe that he only wishes to suround himself with people of similiar personality as him. He prefers the company of children, finding a connection with them. Their young creative minds fill him with inspiration and therefore he spends a majority of his time talking to children.

The place that Yas once called home was New Zealand. New Zealand is a small country, similar in size to Great Britain or Japan. With a population of only four million people it’s also gloriously uncrowded.

He lived in a town called Greymouth, a town with a history of jade hunting, coal and gold mining and dramatic river floods.

He comes from a long bloodline of fishermen that always helped the town by providing food. His father was one of the most well know fisherman in the area and his mother was a great seamstress.

He spent many days on the sea with his father. But he never felt at home at sea. He always felt like there was something lurking in the water, it didn't have to be any sea creatures but something that could change things as he knew it. And one day it did.

There was a big storm that caused the boat to nearly flip over, causing Yas to fall overboard. Sinking like a rock, he soon hit the bottom, there he got tangled in seaweed. Trapping him, far from the surface, his panic took over. Eventually his air started running out, he could feel his body tiring.

Fortunetly for Yas his father was an excellent swimmer, and he was able to bring him back to the surface. Since that dreadful day Yas has refused to leave shore, having developed a great fear for the dark water.

As a result of the dreadful day Yas decided to leave his home, trying to start over. Somewere far from the sea. He finally settled down in the Alps, finding a comfortable living for himself. Along with his comfortable living situation he was also able to find himself a job, one that really suited him.

He became a ski patroller, monitoring the weather situation in the mountains - working to prevent avalanches. Generally spending long hours in the mountains and forests, something that gave him an entirely new outlook on the beauty of nature.

This new life was everything that he could hope for, all he felt that he needed now was someone special to share it with.

❄ ------ ❄ ------ ❄

The wind tickled his hair, a cold breeze swept through the mountains. It was an early morning; the sun’s rays had barely reached the valley where Yas stood. His mind far away dreaming, when he heard distant shouts.

Turning his head in the direction of the shouts, too better make out what it was. He noticed a small shadow in the distance, racing towards him. What could it be he thought too himself, it was hard to make out with the sun in his eyes. As it got closer he was finally able to make out what it was, it was his old friend Alp out for his morning patrol.

Suddenly something broke the air of stillness; Yas could feel the ground beneath him trembling, he turned his attention towards the mountain peaks and saw a great white wave falling down the side of the mountain. Realizing what was happening and what danger it meant, a jolt of realization hit him. It was an avalanche!

Just as the realization hit him, Alp caught up to him. Panting, he was able to blurt out that an avalanche had covered most of the southern valley. However it was unclear as to what had caused it. What was even stranger was that it was now happening where they were, in the northern valley aswell.

Yas knew that the southern valley would most likely be completetly covered in snow by now. However he knew what the task at hand was, a search and rescue mission, but first he had to escape the incoming avalanche. He quickly shouted at Alp to make his way up the nearby cliffs, in so doing securing his survival.

Knowing he had to make his way to the southern valley, escaping to the cliffs was not an option for Yas. Since the only path to the southern valley would be blocked once the avalanche had covered the entire northern valley. His mind was made up, it was now or never. He moved with all the grace and speed that he could muster, quickly making his way down to the valley floor.

Keeping an eye on the distans mountain wall he kept on running, having the avalanche close behind him spured him to run faster than he thought possible. Just as he was about to reach the path to the southern valley he tumbled, crashing down hard on the ground - before he could find his footing again the avalanche was upon him.

He could feel every muscle in his body screaming out from the pressure of the snow on top of him, he tried to stand. But his legs gave away from the pressure and he went down on his knees. In a final desperate attempt he tried getting up. His entire body trembling, with the strain of trying to rise. He was unable to push himself up, his body was simply too exhausted.

He allowed the snow too push him down , too tired to fight it anymore. The darkness quickly washed over him, he was in unconsciousess within seconds. When Yas finally returned to consciousness, it was not cold as he had imagined it would be. But warm, humid and dark. Convinced that he was dreaming he shook his head to try and wake up.

When he opened his eyes , he was still unsure if he was dreaming or not. Yas started looking around, trying to figure out where he was. The place was unknown to him, but something about it felt strangely familiar.

When in need of advice Yas
always turn to Abaraux for
guidance. He knows that Abaraux
will have the best answers for any
question he has. Yas look up to him
in many ways, but mostly he just
enjoys chatting with him about any
topic that comes up. He's ones of
Yas's oldest friends and he knows
he can trust him with anything.

Yas and Zerrrin are currently under
good terms. But they haven't always
been.. During a long time they couldn't
stand eachohter and got into disputes
rahter often. Yas can be such a
"knowit - all" and tends to never back
down when he has his mind set on things,
and so does Zerrin which often leads to
them getting at eachothers throats trying
to make their point clear and prove they
are right.

Yas likes every encounter he has with Alp. Even tho they may not speak much they can both enjoy a quite moment in the mountains. Yas feel very comfortable around Alp mainly cause he doesn't judge him but his extra fur. During his younger years he often got teased about it but thanks to Alp he learned that it's not a bad thing to be different. This is a friendship Yas hopes will last forever.
