About:
Dunstan prefers being referred to with He/Him/His, he never smiles, rumor says he's extremely dangerous and many stay away from him for this reason. He can cause fire to blaze, this fire is one he could start or stop as he pleases, it doesn't make images, or tell stories, and isn't always used for the greater good; others could put it out if it becomes a problem, but this doesn't mean that he won't start it up again. From a young age, many have shunned or looked down upon him and called him a murderer, and uncontrollable, believing he should be exiled because of the threat he poses. Though his power is dangerous at first glance, Dunstan knows how to control it for the most part, with the exception of very extreme situations. Since as long as he can remember, Dunstan's energy has always drained faster than any other Xholi's normally would. The reason why is unknown by anyone, any use of his power even just a small amount can cause a large toll on his energy.
Despite his quick draining energy, Dunstan is among the best in the sentinel standards, and never seems to have an "Off Duty" moment, as when he's not standing guard, they always have him on the move, taking care of their problems despite what he believes, holding against him the few things that he actually opens his heart to.
He can be quite relentless and unforgiving in very close to home situations, he's extremely protective, and despite what many think of him, he cares, and lives to protect, Dunstan is stead fast, blunt, and enjoys cruel jokes. Despite never smiling, he still feels emotions, he still holds standards and tries his best to make others around him comfortable and safe.
In serious situations, Dunstan can fall into a gaze of determination, in which he locks his eyes on the enemy or prey that he wishes to eliminate, once he has begun there's no stopping him until his energy fault causes him to pass out. This is a danger to him as it could cause his gem to break if he's not careful and exceeds the limits of his energy; to use his energy until he faints isn't something he worries much about though. From a young age, Dunstan was taught that his life is below those around him, and when it comes to safety, his life should be seen as less than any other, that he shouldn't be afraid to die for the sake of others no matter their rank to his own.
History:
Dunstan was born upon the flowers of discipline during the windy season of fall, the howling wind blew wild and from this he awoke into the world, a healthy and strong pup, from a young age he had always took upon the masculine air, and looked to others for guidance, always a step ahead of the pups his age he looked towards the future. He never smiled, unlike his younger half sister, a little pup who was always optimistic despite the fact that she had never seen the light of day, as she was in fact blind. She was one of the most important things to him, he wanted to protect her smile, and was told by everyone that the best way to do so was to become selfless, many however warned him that to be so devoted to one member was selfish as the pack as a whole was important to protect more than the focus of a single member.
When the siblings were still young, and in the stage of which their gems were still fragile, Dunstan discovered his power, this power intrigued the sub-leader who watched over the fighters(sentinel and other guard types) of the Dusk Moto pack, he was ruthless and knew how to get what he wanted. At that point in time, he wanted Dunstan to become his weapon, one he could use in his own way on his own time without dirtying his own paws. When Dunstan refused to be part of this scheming, the sub-leader left Dunstan and his family alone for a while. During the time of the sub-leader's leave, Dunstan's sister fell ill, and was barely able to walk, it didn't take long for Dunstan and many others to realize that her gem had over heated trying to absorb her fever and cracked, this disheartened Dunstan. The Sub-Leader later returned, and continued to pressure Dunstan to become a weapon by taking away his sister, claiming they were unfit to care for her seeing that her gem was broken. He told Dunstan that if he ever wanted to see his "useless pup sister" again he would need to follow the orders of which the Sub-Leader would direct. With a desperate will to keep his sister safe, Dunstan became the weapon of the Sub-Leader.
The path in which Dunstan walked was unkind to him, he was taken from the care of his parents to become a puppet. Nearly three months into his life change, he was passed the age of fragility, and his gem was secure for the most part, he had yet to be reunited with either his parents or his sister, and the more he requested such, the more they pushed it away. Eventually, he was told that his sister died, and he practically went insane, he felt so empty and cold inside his heart, he lost the will to live, for he was practically dead already.
When he was encouraged -or rather forced- to join the ranking of Sentinel, Dunstan had little interest in even knowing his colleagues, he thought of it all as a job, a lifeless, worthless, rank rather than a family, he often watched them as they had fun together on boarder patrol and when searching for small snack pray. Most of them got on his nerves, and after a few times of having their tail singed, they regretted trying to bring him into part of their family. The reality of Dunstan's heart was his will, he'd rather be alone and detached from everyone, than to place their lives in danger.
⨯ about her role ⨯ wrote:━━A lot of Ivy's opinions come from being a sentinel. Her entire perspective of the two clans are based upon what she sees when keeping guard, and she rarely ever has to rely upon anyone else to tell her news because she tends to see it first. This makes her a bit challenging to talk to, especially since she has the habit of stopping conversations at the very beginning. Though she can be informed, most of the time her information can be influenced by multiple forces, making it occasionally false. She generally dislikes it when people rely on her for information, especially since she believes her job is somewhat confidential.
While a lot of her job is making sure nothing problematic gets into their territory, Ivy previously thought of it as a lot more. She believed it was the only role that she could be beneficial to the pack, which is why she took great pride in her role. Originally when she chose it, she thought of it as a job best suited for her. Looking back on it, Ivy doesn't think it's entirely true. She does appreciate her role, but she honestly thinks she'd be better off as a pupsitter.
Mainly for her love of pups, Ivy has believed only recently that she'd be better off as a pupsitter. While she hasn't made an effort to ask knowing that it'd be declined because she is fairly good at her job, she can only wish as of now. She wishes for something more interesting - telling crazy stories to the young, her mood being lifted by their happiness - that the sentinel role just doesn't fit.
It's a silly reason to ask for a role change, which is why she'll refuse to do it. Since it's an unpopular choice and she's seen many get declined, Ivy doesn't want to tell anyone about it. For the most part, she does appreciate her job and does it fairly well, but she feels as if she's missing out on many oppurtunities.
