So why a waterfall? I see this princeling as being a strong determined little boy who even in the darkest time perseveres. For his backstory I imagine many hard times crashing down on him all at once like a waterfall and completely destroying his life. Everyday brings even more hardships that he has to push through representing the constant flowing rough waters of a waterfall. Even though he's hopeless and on his own is determined to survive. I haven't figured out any details but I would imagine it being as such for the basics.
