"Mom mom mom mom mom!! Dad dad dad dad dad dad!!" Chespin yelled repeatedly, running to her parents' room. "Wake up wake up! It's my birthday!" Lemon Lime rolled his eyes and smiled as he sat up from his bed. "You better wake up, dear." He said shaking his wife lightly. "The beast has been released." Ananiem groaned as she heard the thumping of her newest child running down the hallway. "Oh goodie." She said, still sleepy.
Chespin bursted into the bedroom and jumped at the end of her parents' bed. "I get my first Pokemon today!!" She screamed at the top of her lungs. Lemon Lime laughed and lifted his daughter into his lap. "Yes you will my little trainer. Remember to choose wisely, and make a bond with you new Pokemon." He said tearing up. "You are free now to go on your adventure and become the best trainer you can be."
Ananiem looked up at her and smiled. "Happy birthday dear. Come right back so we can meet the Pokemon you chose!" Chespin nodded and hugged her parents. "I promise I'll make you proud!" She wiggled free from her fathers grip and ran out of the room. She ran into her own room and grabbed her trainer hat and a stickers pack and ran out of the house. She stumbled over the rock path as she ran to the professors lab.
She burst into the front doors of the lab and walked politely up to the Pokemon table. There were three poke balls in a nice row. Chespin counted them over and over again as she waited for the professor to arrive.
"Oh you're already here." A voice behind the young bean said. Chespin turned around and had a wave of excitement when she saw the professors kind eyes. "Hey hey hi!" She said running up to him. The professor smiled brightly at her. "Have you chose your Pokemon yet?" He asked. Chespin nodded and pointed at the poke ball on the far right. "Chespin?" The professor asked. "The grass type Pokemon, the one that you're named after."
Chespin nodded so hard, her cap almost fell off her head. The professor laughed and picked up the poke ball and handed it over to Chespin. "Do you want to give a nickname to her?" He asked as Chespin grabbed the poke ball from his hands. "Yes! Her name is Cassie. I've thought about this for such a long time!" She said, pulling out her sticker pack. She pulled off a leaf sticker and a tree sticker and stuck them on the poke ball. "Why the stickers?" The professor asked. "I want this to be our own poke ball. Unique." She said as she added the stickers.
"Your family must be waiting for you. You best be off now." The professor said patting her on the back. Chespin nodded and ran out of the lab and back home. She ran into the kitchen, where her parents were being all romantic again. "Um, ew!" She said to get her parents attention. "Oh you're back!" Lemon Lime said as he lifted her up onto his lap. "What Pokemon did you choose?" Chespin pulled the poke ball out from her pocket and opened it to let the Pokemon out. "Ches, Chespin!" Cassie said happily. "Oh I could have guessed." Lemon Lime said and smiled. "I named her Cassie." She said wiggling free from her fathers grasp. She picked up Cassie and hugged her tight. "We're going to be the best team ever!"
"Chespin!" Cassie said.

"Alright, Cassie, are you ready?" Chespin said to her small Pokemon. Cassie nodded and braced herself for a attack. "Use razor leaf!" Chespin shouted. "Cheeeeeeespin!" Cassie yelled, and used her attack. The razor leaf hit the boulder hard, nudging it to the side slightly. "We got it!" Chespin said and high fived her Pokemon. "Soon, we will be able to beat the Normal Type gym leader, and be the best team ever!"
"Chespin!" Lemon Lime called from the house. "Come here for a second!" Chespin picked up Cassie and put her on her back to ride. She ran over to the house and ran into the kitchen where her father was. "Yes dad?" Chespin said, panting.
Lemon Lime turned around to look at his daughter. "I wanted to tell you that you are now free to go explore the forest, you can even go to the next town, but no further!" he instructed. "I think you're ready for it."
Chespin couldn't hold in her excitement. "R-really?!" she stuttered. Lemon Lime just nodded. "But remember, do NOT battle whatsoever!" he said firmly. "I don't want you getting hurt." he walked over to the other counter and grabbed a bag. He walked back over to Chespin and gave it to her. "These have potions and poke balls. Use them wisely okay?"
Chespin grabbed the bag and put it on right away. "No problem!" she said and gave her father a salute. "I won't let you down!" she nodded at Cassie and they headed out on their first adventure.

They walked for a bit until they heard some rustling in the bushes. Cassie jumped off Chespin's back and braced for a attack. Chespin tensed. What is that?! she thought, afraid. "Hello?" a voice called form the bushes. "Hi." Chespin said quietly, silently hoping that the voice didn't hear her. A Flaaffy jumped out from the bushes. Startled, Chespin stumbled back and fell on her bum. "Oh Flaffy don't scare other trainers like that!" The voice said. Chespin looked up and saw a bean come from the bushes. The bean petted the Flaffy. Cassie ran over to Chespin and helped her up.
"I apologize for scaring you." the bean said. "I am the Nutron City Gym Leader. You can call me NC." Chespin's heart started to beat fast. A gym leader talking to me?! she thought. "Well what are you doing here?" Chespin asked. NC smiled. "I just wanted to take a break from the old gym and come relax in the forest, looking for trainers to battle." she said. "You seem like you could use some action today."
Ignoring her father's orders, "Sure!" Chespin said excitedly. She turned to Cassie and patted her on the head. "You ready, Cassie?" she asked her. "Chespin!" Cassie said, as if she was ready to battle. "Let's do it!" Chespin said with confidence. NC laughed. "Go, Flaffy!" she said to her Pokemon. The Flaffy jumped in front. "Flaaffy!" it said.
NC stood up straight. "Flaffy, use tackle!" she ordered. The Flaaffy lunged forward heading for Cassie. "Cassie use razor leaf!" Chespin yelled, trying to protect her Pokemon. Obeying, Cassie used her attack as hard as she could and hit Flaaffy. The Pokemon flew back and fell to the ground. The Flaaffy got back on its feet, and without listening to NC, it tried its attack again. Cassie dodged it, making the Flaaffy fly into nothing and land face first into the ground.
Annoyed, NC walked over to her Flaaffy and put her back in her poke ball. "Flaaffy never listens for some reason." she said looking into the poke ball. "She knows that if she doesn't follow my orders she will loose the battle." she looked over at Chespin. "You fought well for your first battle. Great job." she said and gave her a thumbs up. "I'm sorry if Flaffy ruined your first battle."
Chespin shook her head and beamed brightly at the gym leader. "Not at all! I had fun." she said. She paused suddenly, remembering what her father said. "Oops..." she mumbled. "What?" NC asked, confused.
"My dad said I am not allowed to have any battles with anyone if I am out by myself." Chespin explained, feeling guilty. NC just rolled her eyes and smiled. "We will just keep it in between us." she explained. "And besides, your Pokemon wasn't hit once! He will never know that you had a battle."
Chespin brightened up. "You're right!" she said. "Thanks NC." she picked up Cassie and put her on her back for a ride. "Im gonna go home now." she said as she started to leave. "Bye NC!" she called and ran off in the direction of her home.
"Next time we meet, you will be battling for a badge!" NC called back.

Chespin lay on her bed, looking up at her homemade mobile that she made when she was little. She spun it around in circles, watching the images go by and come back again. "UGHHHHHHHH!" she groaned. "IM SO BORRRRRED!"
After Lemon Lime found out that she had the battle with the gym leader, he grounded her from going outside and training, and she had to keep Cassie in her poke ball. The poke ball sat next to her bed. Cassie seemed bored to. Chespin sighed and blew the mobile, making the images fly all around. She didn't dare to go down stairs with her father mad at her. She could hear her mother and father talking about her and what she did. Whenever her father spoke she felt a hot rush of shame. Her mother seemed to be defending her. "She's only a child!" she says.
Chespin didn't want to be referred as a child, but she let it go. She had other worries ahead of her. She turned her head to look out the window. The forest was lit up with the sunshine. The bird Pokemon flying over head, and the small Pokemon playing in the bushes below. She huffed. She wanted to go play with them, and let Cassie loose for a little while. She decided what she wanted to do.
Chespin got up from her bed, and being as quiet as possible, she tip toed out of her room and into her parents' room, where her trainer bag and her cap was. She picked up her bag and threw on her hat. She tipped toed back to her room and shut the door and locked it. She grabbed Cassie's poke ball and opened her window. She looked down. The drop wasn't high, so she jumped out of the window. She stood on her tip toes to close the window. She turned around and looked at the forest with pride.
The wild Pokemon approached her, like she was a golden apple waiting to be eaten. Chespin smiled at them, and popped Cassie's poke ball open. "Chespin!" Cassie said happily.
The wild Pokemon stared at Cassie. Cassie cocked her head to the side, confused on why they would be afraid. A wild Patrat walked up to Cassie and sniffed her. It smiled. "Patrat!" it said. "Chespin-pin!" Cassie said back. The other wild Pokemon all started running around, playing hide and seek and tag. Cassie ran over to join them.
Not wanting to loose sight of Cassie, Chespin followed, overjoyed. Chespin also played tag with the wild Pokemon.

Lemon Lime, feeling bad for what he told his wife and Chespin, decided to apologize to them. He got up from the couch in the living room and went into the kitchen where Ananiem was. "Hey dear," he started. "I want to apologize from our fight earlier." Ananiem turned around and smiled brightly at her husband. "Apology accepted." Her smile turned into a grin. "If you're looking for Chespin you may want to look outside."
Confused, Lemon Lime walked over to the window and looked out. "Oh my goodness." he mumbled as he saw Chespin and Cassie playing with all the other Pokemon outside. "She loves Pokemon, dear." Ananiem said. "Just let her have her fun."
Lemon Lime kept watching her play out the window. He sighed and smiled. "Oh boy, Chespin." he whispered to himself. "We just can't contain you can we?"

Artsy Amarura!
Dear journal,
You won't believe who I ran into today! It was a Amarura! A Ice Pokemon who was really cute and cool! She was a wild Pokemon and she was hurt, so I decided to help her! The Amarura was super scared of me at first, so I let Cassie talk to her since I can't understand Pokemon language. They talked for a long time, almost a hour, but I wasn't bored, since I think watching Pokemon talk is interesting. Have you always wondered what they were saying? When the Amarura decided to let me carry her, she was super warm, like she had a fever! I know from my books, that Ice Pokemon aren't supposed to be warm. She was also very silky and slippery, so it was hard not to drop her. When we finally got to the pokemon center, the lady was super nice and she helped me heal Amarura back to full health! I told her that I didn't own Amarura, and she was a wild Pokemon. The lady said that I would have to set Amaura free since I wasn't her trainer. It made me sad but I obeyed. I took the Amarua and put her outside and she woke up. I waved goody bye then started leaving, but the Amaura grabbed my foot and pulled me back! She wanted to go with me! I got super happy so I took out a poke ball and threw it at the Amaura and I caught her! Me and Cassie both celebrated. I found my stickers pack and made the poke ball all pretty. "I'm gonna call you Gabe." I said to the poke ball.

Fabulous Flareon!
Dear Journal,
For my birthday a few days ago, I got a Eevee from my parents! He was super cute. My dad said that he could grow up to be any type of Pokemon you want. When he gets to the level that he can evolve, you can use a element stone to evolve it into the type you want! I didn't want to give him a name until he evolved. Ever since I heard you could evolve him into any type, I started training right away. I battled tons of trainers and wild Pokemon (I healed them right after) and soon Eevee was old enough to evolve! I made my parents take me to the Pokemart right away so i could choose. They had so many different kinds of stones! I looked for a long time and I finally found the one that I most wanted, the Fire Stone. After I bought it I Eevee out of his poke ball and then gave him the Fire Stone. The glow was super bright when it touched him. I had to shade my eyes! After a few seconds and when the light died down, I saw a new Pokemon in front of me! "Flareon!" it said. I picked him up and hugged him. He was super warm but I didn't care. "Your name is Flame!"

Lucky Lucario!
Dear Journal,
Today was super awesome! I met a awesome new Pokemon, though, I guess you can say she was lucky! I was walking through the forest with Cassie until I heard a ruffling noise in the bushes. I decided to go and see what it was. Cassie got super hostile, but I styed calm as I cleared away the bushes. It was a Lucario eating a small Oran Berry! The Pokemon looked at me and covered in fear. It seemed afraid of Cassie. I looked at Cassie and she was making a mean look at the wild Pokemon. "Cassie stop! You're scaring it!" I said to her. I guess Cassie felt bad so she stopped and gave me and the Lucario a sad look. The Pokemon moved slowly and sniffed me and Cassie. We both didn't want to scare the Lucario. "Lu-Luuu." it said very sadly. It looked like she was hungry. I decided to give her some of my Oran Berries. I dug in my bag and found a bunch of Oran Berries. I took out all of them and dumped them out in front of the Lucario. It ate them very happily. I sat back and watched her eat. When it was done it grabbed a poke ball out of my bag and gave it to me. I guessed it wanted to be caught! I threw the poke ball at it and click... click... click... ding! I caught her! I ran over to the poke ball and picked it up. "I'm going to call you Tina."

Silly Slowbro!
Dear journal,
A few days ago I was battling so many trainers! And when I met my newest Pokemon, I knew there was going to be a never ending friendship. It happened when I was battling my last trainer, who was a clown! He put up a great fight, using his Phyduck and his Slowpoke. I made both of them faint by using Tina (who is super awesome I might add!), and you would never guess who I got in reward. "Here." he said as he handed me a poke ball. "Since you seem to have a huge bond with your Pokemon, you can have this one! I have not had the time to train him, but maybe you could!" Boy I was super surprised. I said thank you very much and ran off to go meet the new Pokemon. I let him out of this poke ball and gasped. It was a Slowbro! Right after he was left out of his poke ball, it flopped over on its back and stayed there. My and Cassie both laughed. The he got up and grabbed some Oran Berries from my bag and started juggling them. He tossed them in the air and they landed in his mouth! We both clapped. I picked up Slowbro and he smiled at me. "You're name is Sheldon! Silly Sheldon!"

Expanding the team-

Icirrus came bounding up to her mother with a burst of energy, Ralts who had been with her since hatching tailing her closely. Her worried looking Togetic followed slowly in the air, troubled no doubt by something unkind it may have seen. "Hey mum? We just saw some campers in the woods, they were saying some nasty things about some pokemon, do you think we can get them to leave?" Icirrus huffed, not one with high stamina she tended to tire out rather quickly, but she had rushed home as fast as she could from her adventurous track through the woods with Ralts in order to relay this information to her mother. Ananiem would always be able to come up with a non-violent solution to evicting those unwanted campers and Icirrus enjoyed brainstorming new ideas and executing these plans them with her mother so brought this information straight to her.

"They were saying such awful things! About how this pokemon was a bad omen and they didn't like seeing it, I feel so sorry for it I'm sure it's not like that at all.." Icirrus whispered in a low voice as her mother led them closer towards the camp. They were sneaking up on the tiny temporary settlement, Ralts stuck close to her side, focused on reaching out for the feelings of the gloomy campers up ahead. Togetic had remained at home with her father, Icirrus disliked bringing them with her if she knew it would be likely to upset them as being a happiness pokemon they were sensitive to such things.

"I'm sure we can work this out honey, and maybe we could leave something behind for the pokemon to show that we care, how about it?" Ananiem suggested, smiling warmly at her daughter. Icirrus hadn't had much of a chance to meet with many different pokemon, aside from those in her family, but she cared deeply for those that she knew and hearing anyone be so nasty to pokemon upset her greatly. Icirrus beamed up at her mother. "That's a great idea!" she squeaked, battling her excitement in order to keep a low voice as they drew near the camp. After a brief pause Ralts patted her side to let her know that the area was clear of the campers for the time being. The three of them set to work on messing up the camp site, creating holes in their tents and bags, moving containers and chairs about the place and hiding some of their food supplies.

As she and Ralts set down a camp chair some ways away from the site Icirrus caught Ralts humming quietly. It wasn't and sort of humming she had noticed them doing before, she trotted up and asked if everything was okay. Ralts turned to look up at her, humming softer then before then stopped. They both turned then quiet footsteps where heard ahead of them. A strong silhouette stood bathed in the suns rays filtering down between the cool shade of the tree tops.

The three of them all stop, watching each other carefully. It's after a few moments that Icirrus steps forward to speak in a soft voice. "I'm... I would like to help. Are you the pokemon that these people have been talking about?" The white and black pokemon seemed to tense but did not move and continued to listen, lowing their head ever so slightly. "I think that they were too quick to judge you if that's the case. They are mistaken aren't they, you've been here a while and you haven't cause trouble, but they don't know that do they?" She paused, giving a chance for the words to settle as she organised her thoughts in her head. "I think I've heard about you before, you always come down before things happen. Like the ground shaking and the wild storms we some times get." The other pokemon seemed to darken as the light coming down was blocked, likely by a cloud moving overhead. "You've been warning us, letting us know to be careful because these things will happen... But they don't know that, don't understand that and that's why they are afraid, because they thing you some how cause these things to happen."

The other pokemon lifted their head and slowly took a step forward, towards Icirrus and Ralts, they seemed less tense then before. "I don't believe that you're bad at all. You're trying to help." Icirrus beamed happily. "I bet it must be so hard,to be treated like that all the time. If... If you would like to, you could come with us. Come and be part of our family, no one would misjudge you and maybe we... maybe we could be friends!" She finished brightly. The other pokemon seemed to hesitate, appearing torn between leaving and staying, between trusting her. "I won't make you, of course. It's you will to decide, but the offer will still be there if you ever change your mind." She had heard other make offers just like that, from the heart and with no pressure put on the other party to accept or decline.

Icirrus and Ralts turned to leave, to head back to the camp and meet up with her mother before heading back. They had not long started on their way when a loud crashing came through the trees. Absol skidding to a stop beside them and caught their breath, they lifted their head offered a wide smile as their eyes creased in delight. Happy that for once they were not hated, not shunned or pushed away. The four of them all headed home with smiles on their faces.

The final member-

-Ah I'm uncertain if I'll be able to complete this story, but I will include a quick rough summery if your interested in the basic idea I was going to write about!-
; Icirrus and her three pokemon are out in her fathers garden, they have been trying to grow some plants and berries of their own but have had little luck and their sprouts have all but withered away. Distraught they try all they can think of to get their plants to grow again but to no avail. It is when they are all close to giving up that a Megnaium revives that it has been keeping an eye on the three of them and steps forward, calming them and reviving the saplings and aiding in their growth. Touched by their strong will and determination, Megnaium is willing to stay with Icirrus and become part of their family in order to watch and help her grow while accompanying her and her other pokemon.

Ah, this little girl is very sweet, but I may be having second thoughts... I don't know if what I'm feeling is having issues with connecting to her, or I might just be a little anxious u-u; I completely understand if that makes you change your mind about my form when judging, this girl deserves the best home.

Name: Lemongrass. Nicknamed Leery
Team: 3. Why? Because 3 is a good number for a party. Obviously, a starter, the strongest and most often used. A secondary one, trained almost as much, for use in double battles. And a third, for no apparent reason, slightly weaker than the first two, but still an important member of the team, in case of fainting, or for strategy.
All from Hoenn. Why? Well, I always imagined Hoenn as a more laid back starting town. Littleroot is a good home, and I could honestly imagine this family living on Route 101, right between Littleroot and Oldale. So, it would make sense that all the pokemon Leery catches would be right around the same area, on this adventure, in this region.
So, a Treeko starter. A zigzagoon secondary. A taillow tertiary.
Three pokémon encountered early on in the journey. Because of this, she has more time to fully connect with and embrace the simplicity of her pokémon.

Finding Hop
Now see here, Hop is my starter pokémon, my first one, so there wasn't a whole lot of 'finding' going on. You know, just a normal birthday, quiet, but exciting! Ten is such a big number, for any kid, but for a budding pokemon trainer... It was a dream come TRUE! I woke up so early, it felt like Christmas. My poor parents... I guess I woke up a BIT too early for them. Dad sort of turned over and fell back asleep, and mom told me to go back to bed for a while... I didn't sleep anymore, but when we were all FINALLY up - it felt like forever - mom and dad took me to the pokemon professor to choose my first travelling partner.
