Name: Akai (also called "A")
Gender: Agender
Why the Collar?:
Akai lived in a dog's kennels for most of their life. This kennel was slightly different... They only adopted dogs that had been abused before in their lifetime. The canines in the kennels had a special ranking system in them. Basically, the more "doggy bling" you had the higher rank you were. Akai had always been the lowest of the low, having quite femenine feathers and beads , meaning they got nipped alot. However, the owner of the kennels seeing this, took Akai in and gave them a collar with a skull tag, to show the others that Akai wasn't frail and girly. This worked, and Akai was able to escape into the nearby woods, often roaming around the city nearby.

Name: Seras
Gender: Female
Why the Collar?: Though you wouldn't guess it from talking to her now, Seras went through a severe goth phase that alienated her from almost all of her friends when she was younger. She couldn't understand why changing her clothes or dying her fur black suddenly ended so many friendships and made other plumies whisper mean things like "freak!" or "what a weirdo!". Seras became rather depressed because of this, and began to feel completely alone, all because of the way she chose to express herself...
Until one day, a shy plumie she had rarely spoken to before approached her with a present. "I don't care what you wear or how you look, I'll still be your friend" She said to her as Seras opened the present to find a beautiful black collar with a skull charm.
It was the beginning of their friendship, and that's why even though her goth phase is over, Seras still wears that collar.

You guys sure waste no time in coming up with a lot of interesting ideas!
The two forms that I ended up picking for RU's and the winning form all had similar themes in the end, but all of you guys had great ideas and it was mostly coincidence that non of the supernatural-ish ones won as they were all great ideas too!
Mostly, I think these three forms really got to me because they all reminded me of either myself as a teenager or of my friends, and I felt that was really fitting to the plumie as collars were a really important part of my friends' and mine's group dynamic.
Runner Ups!Please PM me a dog or cat breed to get color inspiration from! :DSplashofOrangeJuice, your RU will have a bone charm on their Collar

Name: phoebe
Gender: female
Why the Collar?: phoebe is a spunky girl, with a fragile attitude. the collar she wears represents the delicacy of life, and those around her, even within herself. it's a constant reminder that others have feelings we can't control, but are easily influenced and if treated inaccurately may end in tragedy. personality, phoebe is very easy to manipulate and take advantage of, especially her feelings. if approached with a sour or grumpy attitude, here will also change to match depending on the severity, and same with a cheerful or positive attitude. that isn't the only thing though. phoebe also just really likes skulls and some of the other things in life some might describe as dark. hardcore music and clothing is a thing she enjoys too, and the collar shows a bit of that side of her. she doesn't feel right without it now though, after wearing it for so long. she's spunky and punky, what more can you say?

Why the Collar?: When she was younger, Indie use to be in a rock band called ‘Bones and Thorns’. It was nothing special really, average sounding and just a few teens in their parents garage. They knew they’d never make it but they never really wanted the fame, all the music they made was just to get rid of stress and have a good time. She was always happiest when she was hanging out with the gang, and those are some of the best memories she has. Her best friend gave her the neckless right before the band decided to split and go their separate ways, and she wears it to remember the good old days. Everyone in the old band has one just like it, though they each wear them in different areas. It’s their little secret what the symbol stands for.
Leaving this account.
I just... need a clean start.
