Spending city nights alone wasn't my number one choice, but it is what it is. I wasn't known for anything big, just being a homeless weirdo who'd eventually show up in a shop with just a dollar or two in quarters and cents from the street. I wasn't any secret prodigy that showed up out of nowhere, there was nothing special about me. I was a couch-surfer with a cool horn, some extra fluff and a fondness for chocolate. I was a nobody. So why is this important? Why should you know this about me? That was the old me. I started as a nobody. The only thing I wanted people to know was that I started from the bottom. I want to inspire people, to help them realize their talents, knowing they can achieve great things even in the darkest of times. I believe this is one of my main reasons for living, I want people to be inspired by my story, my theories, my success, and go do amazing things even I failed to do.
My name is Arcadia. My name means adventure in Spanish. Many tend to call me Arca or Cadia, and the occasional Dia. Even though my name is a female name, I am in fact agender. I would prefer it if you called me using they, their and they're pronouns.

This kiamara is named Mhairi. They respond to the nicknames Ri and Reese, and they're heard referred to that much more than their real name. They'd say "those names sound more gender ambiguous," if you asked, coupled with a shrug. They wouldn't say much more, though-- they're not one to speak much. Instead, they'd turn and probably return to what they were doing before. That would probably be baking; you could tell from the streaks of batter or frosting on the kiamara's sleeve. Running a cupcake shop keeps them very busy, anyways.
While Ri is baking, you look around. The shop is messy, but you spot a few cool-looking things lying around.MULTI-COLORED STICK NOTES . . . they're everywhere. In every color. Though you can't really tell, it's how Ri keeps track of their things. You don't even try to guess the organizing strategy; there's too many colors and things to pick up a pattern. Two small, bright orange sticky notes are on two books on a desk, and nowhere else. Maybe orange is important?COOKBOOK . . . it's more of a baking book, really. Or a scrapbook. The pages are torn and written in; Ri wrote things in all of the margins in a bright orange pen. They're mainly changes to the original recipe. That's probably why Ri's cupcakes have a distinct flavor.JOURNAL . . . it's a red-bound journal, filled with entries. As soon as you start to pick it up, Mhairi puts down their baking pan and looks startled. "Hey! Put that down," they said, though their voice was slightly flustered and not as demanding as it could be. They looked nervous, and reached out to take the journal from your hands. As you placed it in their hands, you could see the faint tint of pink on the kia's face. "What's in there?" you asked, and Ri considered telling you. "Dreams," they said. "Like... the sleep kind or the aspiration kind?" After another pause, they opened the journal to a page that showed a kid-like drawing of cupcakes and lots of scribbled words in more orange pen. "Both. This dream shows aspirations," they pointed to the cupcake, "And this is a sleep dream where..." they trailed off. "Well, a nightmare. Whatever," the closed the journal and shoved it under the counter. It seemed like the conversation was over. "Well, you going to buy something?" she seemed less awkward and flustered when she was behind the counter.
You tell the kia that you want some pretty, pink-frosted cupcake, though all of the pastries look good and you wouldn't of cared which one you picked. The kia intrigued you, but you didn't know much about them past the small glimpse into the personal journal you saw. Mainly-- there was a lot in there. There must be a lot behind this kiamara and their messy-yet-somehow-organized cupcake shop and frosting smears on their sleeve.

Mhairi is (usually) one to keep to themself. They can be described as introverted, as being around other kiamaras for long times often wears them out; when they do find someone they want to talk to, they never shut up. However, Mhairi isn't one to just start up friendships-- they often 'test the waters' with little jokes or personal conversations with strangers. They believe strongly in things like predestination and fate, and often judge too quickly on first impression. Ri believes they either have a connection with someone, or they don't. This original impression is hard to revoke from them once established, which is a reason Ri doesn't seem to have many friends or company. Once they believe there isn't a connection, they often become distant and blunt, often without meaning to.
Overall, Reese is usually a laid-back kiamara. They have many aspirations and work hard to achieve them, but they have achieved many already. Their 'happy place' is in their cupcake shop, which was a place they dreamed of owning since they were 4. It is a warm, happy atmosphere for Ri, and their home is nestled on top of the busy shop, so they can just hang around and relax.Ri is found relaxing (read: sleeping) more often than not. After all, since many of their dreams have been accomplished, they need more to chase after. There's no better way to provide impossible dreams to seek after, and hopefully somehow achieve, than creating them through daydreaming. Besides, in their mind, their cupcake recipes never go wrong.
