Maria would adore a trip to the 'Pearl of the Orient Seas,' otherwise known as the Philippines, which also happens to be the place I call home. It has three geographical divisions, Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, and Maria wishes to visit at least one tourist spot each. She is fascinated by Philippine history and culture, for one, it was conquered and controlled by the Spanish for more than 300 years! The places she want to visit in particular are the beautiful white sandy beaches of Boracay (I've been there myself, it's amazing), the 2,000 years old Banaue Rice Terraces, the Chocolate Hills (mostly because she wants to see if they're made of real chocolate or not), Mayon Volcano with it's perfect cone, the Puerto Princesa Underground River (she thinks it would be cool if she got to see some bats along the way) , and the Hundred Islands. Maria always wanted a break from the mountains and enjoy some tropical sunshine, and the Philippines seem to suit her needs.

She would most like to visit Rio de Janeiro, mainly for the festivals they have. Though she would prefer to stay towards the centre of the city to avoid the slums, she would love to explore the city and even the lovely country surrounding the city. The colours of the festival being some of her favourite things, and even though she has never seen them, she does imagine it and has woke up dreaming about the celebrations sometimes - the whole "colour rush" and image of the huge statue overlooking Rio just gets her adrenaline going, and some of the colours are things that would match her gorgeous eyes and coat.
