s t o r y ; ;Nico's paws scraped on the newly formed grass, and the beat of his music was keeping him calm. He was now heading hope from school, maybe today, no one would attack him! He tried his best to not think about that. Instead, he got scared and started to run home. He heard paws behind him, coming closer and getting louder it seemed. Nico started to cry,
why are they going after me?? he wailed in his mind.
He started to run faster, which seemed to hold them back a bit farther. He ran down the hill, the punks following, he was almost to his house. He smiled, but he kept crying. Even though he was so close to freedom, he remembers in cartoon shows, that it isn't what it seems. So it wasn't promised. Nico decided to take the ally way short cut. Maybe he cloud loos them in the ally. Nico thought up of a plan, than turned and bolted down the ally way, with the others following. Nico was very glad he was a long distance runner, or else he would be a goner for sure!
He ran all the way down, until stopping at a house that ha a fence around it's backyard. With all his might, he jumped over it and landed softly, he heard the punks struggling to climb over. As they were struggling, Nico ran to the front of the house, and turned down the road.
Run like the wind, run like the wind, he thought in his mind. He turned, and went in between two homes, running down the ally, jumping over cats and puddles. His sprint turned into a jog as he kept going.
He was proud of himself getting away for the first time. Since he was the loner in school, it was a big advantage. Not only will the punks be humiliated, but Nico will be popular for once! He missed having friends and talking to others. He missed being the only one with the smart plan. he missed most, having a mate. He decided to run again, he didn't want those punks to catch up again. He had enough of them.
As soon as he got home, he took pictures of his childhood life, and a picture of him and his old mate, and threw them in the garbage. Scraping is claws, trying to hold back tears and anger, he said,
"That's not the life I live anymore."a r t ; ;
