Her old granny used to make snacks out of bugs. Whether it be vanilla flavored fireflies or vinegar flavored grass hoppers June loved them all. Yet there is one that she will never get tired of no matter what. Chocolate covered june bugs. Just thinking about it makes her mouth water. She loves june bugs by themselves but the chocolate is like adding the frosting on a cake. Her granny had a secret recipe for making them oh so delicious but it's a secret! June constantly tries to figure out how to make them so she can have them at any time. Maybe one day she'll find out but for now she has to wait for the days when her mother takes the time to take her over to her old granny's house to get even a little taste of the sweet snack.

May beetles (also known as June beetles or June bugs)


Because they always come in his favorite season, spring! There are always plenty to share with his friends, and they are easy to handle. He loves how they are crunchy on the outside, squish on the inside, and are delicious all around. They are big enough for him to taste it, but small enough to have multiple. He thinks their larva taste bad though, Boren: "Yeah don't eat them, the babies are gross!" His family thinks it's gross, but he think that they are very nutritionous, and he like the taste, "So it's a win win!"

why;; He loves the delicate, unique spots and this poise they have. he admires the ruby red coloring of their wings and sometimes paints himself red and pokes a bunch of black dots so he can imitate his fave bug. >w<

Filou is a tomboy and always will be with
her countless prank pulling.

Filou and the Stink bug

She loves her little stink bug friends for their strong smell and use in her many pranks. Filou enjoys tricking other beans using her many concocted plans especially ones that involve her stinky friends the stink bugs. She keeps a collection of the bugs in a terrarium before taking them out carefully. Filou will hide them underneath other beans sleeping areas, and in their fur making sure that the bugs with release their putrid smell into the air.

Rosy Maple Moth

Houtarou suffers from extreme Bruxism, or the grinding of the teeth. The frequency that she does it has caused her teeth to become hypersensitive, making it difficult and painful to eat hard or overly chewy, sticky things. The Rosy Maple Moth, due to its somewhat fluffy and soft body, is easy on her mouth, and is far more enjoyable to her than other, harder insects.
Additionally, eating them "cures" Houtarou's wanderlust, because since they can only be found in certain areas (in her case, western Nova Scotia), they keep her in generally the same area. This benefits her because, although she has a desire to explore, she cannot due to her front left leg, which is weak due to a break that did not heal correctly. Exploring would only hurt the leg more, but due to her stubborn nature she has tried to journey before, and the only result was further weakening of the bones. The moth keeps in her a smaller area and prevents her, no matter what she wants to do, from hurting herself by pursuing her desire to wander.

Bug does have a favorite insect, and snuggles anyone who is kind enough to ask. She loves inch worms; and loves to eat them too, of course!

Bug is not only an insect fanatic, but a Disney movie fanatic as well! Her absolute favorite Disney movie is The Lion King; when she first watched it when she was 5, she was mesmerized by the scene where Timon and Pumbaa introduce Simba to eating bugs! The way the movie made the bugs look so delicious captivated her. And Bug wanted to try one! So she stumbled outside and picked up the very first bug she saw; a bright green inch worm munching on a leaf. She didn't even hesitate. Nom, nom, nom . . . Bug squealed in surprise and joy; the inch worm was delicious! Since then she has tried many different types of bugs, but no insect compares to the squishy inch worm!
