Skye is a little difficult to understand, so let's start with the outside personality. Skye appears as a typical child bean; energetic, imaginative, immature little guy. Of course, this is merely the outside, but he also appears as a happy-go-lucky, irresponsible, clumsy thing. He's not shy when meeting strangers, and is quite talented at making friends. He also likes farms. This shows quite a bit, because he talks a lot about the family farm. All in all, even though this is simply the beginning to understanding him, Skye is quite the spark of interest.

Pygmy goat! Yes, Skye's favorite animal is indeed a
Pygmy goat. They're small, adorable, and quite fran-
kly, they make good companions. Once, he was loo-
king for Minter and Frux, and stumbled upon a tiny
little goat. The goat seemed lost, and Skye wanted
to comfort it, so he walked up and began to soothe
it. The little goat followed Skye back to the house,
and became his companion. Ever since then, Skye
has loved Pygmy goats, and his companion Pixie.

Quirk #1 ;; Skye likes making strange, squeaky noises. He'll just run around the house, squeaking and squawking, and nobody will ever know why

Ah, I see we're beginning to break through Skye's barriers. Well, now we can start learning a bit about the true personality of the little guy. Little known fact; he's actually very shy. Perhaps that's why he doesn't let very many beans know the true Skye, or it could just be that he's wary of strangers. Also, Skye is quite the dreamer. He often disappears into his own little dream world, and has built a little village in which he escapes into. And although he enjoys praise, like most other beans, he is quite humble, often replying, "Thank you, thank you, but I couldn't have done it without the help of...." Although, he does feel uncomfortable when he has no one to share the success with. When it's just himself that accomplishes something, and he can't say someone else helped, he often becomes flushed and tries to hide. Another thing that he strongly dislikes is being forced to do things. He likes being free, in fact, as free as his namesake, the sky. He stubbornly refuses to do things without a choice, and prefers to do things at his own pace, although he can be lured and/or bribed into doing things on somebody else's time. This gives us a little more insight into the persona of Skye, but this is definitely nowhere near all of his true colors.

Skye, in general, is a very kind bean – once you get to know him, and passed the protective layer that many beans accompany with them. On the outside, he’s very shy and dreamy to the world. Shy towards other beans, yet very humble towards them. Often in his own world, or bubble, Skye likes to have his ‘space’ sometimes. He’s very imaginative, despite how shy he is on the outside, which is an imaginative bean that could dream up of a world of cotton candy – if you wish. Skye is an encouraging, humble bean at heart – and that’s why he’s so nice…but only if you can break that bubble, without damaging him, of course. Therein lies an energetic, lively young bean, as many of young JBDs are at heart, which in his heart...lies many dreams. His dreams are quite silly, perhaps, to older JBDs – but Skye believes his dreams are of utmost importance, which are to both breathe multi-colour fire and to own a ‘legendary’ hover board of his own. It's quite the few dreams for such a small bean, but many are surprised the dreams are not just nonsense of 'I want to be a fire-fighter', then turn out to never be one. His dreams are slightly more on the temporary side, and more are to come in the future.

Skye is the kind of bean who tends to think on the bright side of things – an optimist, if you will. He is bright, after all, but not just. He’s also very encouraging, as mentioned before…to both other people and himself. He urges others to not give up, although he is quite modest – humble – himself, often refusing to take credit for certain things, but not undervaluing himself at all. Unpretentious, if you will, but not overly. He knows where his credit is due, but doesn't represent it constantly, I'm afraid.

Another thing that is visible about Skye is his loyalty towards other beans. He’s not fond of betrayal, to say the very least, and he tends to stick around with you until the very end. His family, friends, and acquaintances matter most to him – and he will not, by choice, leave them behind in the dust or back stab them, as long as he knows that they won’t either. He's faithful towards his friends and family, and he's guaranteed to devote as much as his time towards the person he's with. Commitments are another form of loyalty, which, in general, a lot of people have trouble with: but Skye will usually stick to his promises and commitments under most circumstances. Loyalty is something he'd like to share between friends - something he knows that he will be assured of constantly - and how the 'golden rule' will affect both him and others, which is treat others how they want to be treated.

Despite being shy, Skye has fairly strong opinions about certain things. He's often straight to the point and quick - not dilly-dallying all day long about how certain topics are this-and-that. For example: if you, for instance, inquired him this - "what is your favourite colour?" he'd simply reply, his favourite colour. Perhaps even give a small amount of detail as to why - but nothing too drastic. If you ask him a question, it's most likely you'll find out in a matter of a few seconds, if you're willing to. This ties in with his inability to be told he’s wrong, which is one of the main sources of his arrogance that way.

Skye has a 'big' heart, mostly because of his few personality traits that describe him, as mentioned before. He's loyal, kind, bubbly, and lively - a perfect little cheer up that can help anyone's day. But what else is he? Here's a side to Skye that we haven't explored much…which is how his character builds up. He's charismatic, compelling towards others. Skye can inspire others like no other can - to a certain extent of where he's often considered a leader. He's appealing in that sort of way - but also, not at the same time. This is behind all the shyness - the bubble that he keeps up as a 'guard' - which not a lot of eyes get to witness this personality trait, though, in fact, it does exist somewhere inside of him to contrary belief.

Skye, to put it as simply as possible, gets upset very easily as most young jelly bean dragons do. It's a common misconception of many younger beans - they simply can't handle being wrong. It's cute, in a way, but you probably don't want to get in the way once he's upset. It's not as if he's /dangerous/, in a sense, but just...cranky, as normal jellybean dragons are at a young age. It doesn’t sound as bad as it seems, though – just a minor temper-tantrum that he often goes through easily. "Don't poke the bear" applies here - but Skye, as everyone seems to know, is not a bear (hopefully). Though, this is most likely a trait he will grow out of eventually as many of young beans do. As he’s older, he’ll probably still get upset at /some/ things, but not in a childlike or immature manner as a child would normally.

Another thing about Skye is how sure he seems of his opinions. It doesn't seem to show at first, but it actually does make sense after you see him answer a few questions - simple ones like…what's your favourite food (which, is dumpling soup - by the way). He doesn't seem to be affected by other's opinions very much, which can honestly - be both a 'good' and 'bad' trait. Following this, he has the habit of strongly believing that his opinion is the /correct/ one, even if it is utterly and completely wrong. In the situation where he'd be asked his opinion about something, he'd probably not accept the actual facts if they were right in his face. Even though he's quite a stubborn little thing - Skye also hates to be wrong. You could -- never say to Skye: “admit it, you’re wrong” – or else he’d probably get upset.

Something that accompanies Skye with being shy is his fidgety behaviour. Often seeming very antsy or nervous, Skye tends to fidget at the weirdest and most random of times awkwardly and seemingly odd, but he isn't. It's just a mere habit that he can't break - a part of his shyness which, while that may change in the future, his fidgety nature won't. Don't make fun of him about it, though - it's a very small thing that he does all the time, and getting upset easily...I don't see why you would in the first place. Skye, as nervous as that seems, though, he's not frightened out of his wits. He's merely shy, as mentioned above, and there's nothing to fret about besides his constant need to move around.

Skye is quite reserved, as mentioned before. He’s normally pretty shy – but after a long, long time of warming up towards people, he begins to show affection by being clingy, lovable, and kind. He tends to warm up to people after a period of time, which can ultimately pay off when you’re wanting to become his friend, or even his best friend. Even if he does seem rather shy at first, Skye will ultimately be the kind of bean who will eventually become everyone’s best friend – if they were to get to know him that well.

Skye happens to be very clingy to those he loves – such as his close family, unlike how he is to most strangers. He tends to not want to leave the person he’s attached to, or want to just…well, curl up and sit there for a while. It’s his own, unique way of showing affection to things like his parents, Pixie, his pygmy goat, and among other things. Just like being loyal, he’ll ‘stick’ to you for a long time, stuck – just like glue. His clingy nature can not only be a bad thing, though, it can also be a very good thing as well, depending on the perspective or incident he’s in.

Being easily amused, Skye laughs at a lot of random things, no matter the situation. He believes he’s awful humorous himself, which results in him laughing even at his own jokes...despite it being slightly weird. Skye does have a slightly good sense of humor himself, even if he thinks he’s slightly more humorous than he actually happens to be.

Despite all of this – it may be a tad bit random – though, Skye has a very, very poor sense of fashion and ‘what looks good’ and ‘what looks wrong or bad.’ It’s unfortunately a bad habit and instinct he can’t get rid of, even if he were to take classes on the subject. Don’t trust him with choosing anything having to do with clothes – he’ll probably pick up a costume as a casual attire of a jester, most likely.

As most baby beans are, Skye is very messy and he tends to have poor dinnertime manners. He tends to ‘play with his food’ as a lot of people refer it to, but his /overall/ manners are good (dealing with please, thank you, etc). He just seems to make a mess of things unintentionally – his toys, food, bed room – anything, but all with good intentions in the end. It’s an unfortunate habit he can’t seem to break, though, perhaps when he’s older...though, one thing always remains with him – he can be often very careless at the same time, even with his poor manners.

Even though Skye, currently, seems to have a lot of negative traits directed towards him, many of these he will most likely grow out of eventually as he grows older. His humbleness, and his kind heart, though – will, fortunately, remain here with the rest of his personality as he grows older – into a teen, then into an adult finally.

"Hi there, I'm Skye, and figured I should tell you what I think about Scarfire839... So, here goes n-nothing. I really do like her, she's a wonderful person. I know she has one JBD, Kale, who's one of my best friends, so I'd love to be another one of her beans. I know she loves me, because she always tells me so, even though we don't get to stay together constantly, we always like to play around, and sometimes she comes to visit me at the farm! She knows what I like and don't like, and she likes to bring me and Pixie sandwiches to share! Scarfire says I sometimes act up, and gives me warnings about why I shouldn't do bad things, and I understand after she explains. It sometimes gets scary when she gets mad at me, but it only ever last 2-3 minutes and she easily forgives me, and I know she wants to discourage bad behavior so I don't get in serious trouble later on. I have no doubt in my mind that she truly cares for me. Anyways, she likes bringing me Pokemon cards when she visits, and she often takes me out cloud watching and to the ice cream parlor for ice cream sundaes! Then she takes me back to the farm and sometimes has a nice conversation with Minter and Frux. My favorite times with her are when she takes me back to her house so we can have sleepovers, just me her and Kale. Then we have a wonderful breakfast, and she takes Kale and me on a car ride back to the farm, where we play for a bit before she and Kale leave. Scarfire truly is the best, and I love her almost as much as I love my parents, because she takes care of me like I'm her son. And that's how I see Scarfire839."

These are Skye's wonderful physical attributions. His height comes to about 1 foot, which is roughly two thirds up the length of my shin. He weighs in at around 22 lbs., which doesn't seem overly heavy, although he is slightly pudgy. Skye has no tattoos, but he does have on little scar on his left ear. He does not currently have any horns, but when he gets older he will have ram horns like his father, and one will be orange like his claws, the other one green like his other claws. Skye does not have YFS, he will grow up to be an adult with horns. He does indeed have the ability to breath fire, and his fire is typically orange, with constant swirls and splashes of green, like his two different colored claws. He sometimes ingests food coloring and occasionally breathes little splats of colored fire, corresponding to the food coloring he ate earlier.

.:Ｄｒｅａｍｓ:.

Skye has various dreams, some are small and temporary, and others are larger and more lifelong. One of Skye's lifelong dreams is to be able to breath multi-colored flames, by specifically coloring them to his satisfaction. He is currently experimenting this using food coloring, and on occasion he will breath a little spurt of blue or purple flame, in between the normal orange and green he normally breathes. He is slowly unlocking the secrets to coloring his flames, and this dream may very well come true. Skye's dream flame

Another dream Skye has is to own a hover board, a wondrous and spectacular sci-fi vehicle, much like a skateboard, albeit without wheels, and it does indeed hover over the ground. He is a massive lover of sci-fi and superhero things, so a hover board would truly excite him, and he would absolutely love it. He's holding out for the future, and all the magnificent sci-fi things that could quite possible be invented in reality.

Skye also has some very interesting and creative aviation-based dreams, as well. He dreams of being a flight attendant one day. Why not a pilot? He doesn't want to be in control of the plane and need to be focused on flying it, he wants time to watch the skies and enjoy the feeling of flight.

Another dream Skye has, also in aviation, is one day all planes will be constructed entirely out of glass. Everything, from the furniture inside to the outside of the plane, and all it's components. Why glass, when it might be intimidating at first, stepping onto an aircraft made entirely of glass, where you can see down below and to the sides? For one, it would be an experience unlike any other, would it not? And then, if Skye was to become a flight attendant on one of those extraordinary plane, he would be able to constantly see the sky, all the time, night or day, whether the flight is 45 minutes long, or 7 hours long, it would be truly remarkable!

Yet another of his many dreams is centered on family. He wishes for as many other siblings as possible, and when he is older, to have a loving mate and to have as many kids as they can, as Skye truly does have a passion for his family, and absolutely adores the idea of having a large one.

Skye's Views on Superheroes

Skye just so happens to love superheroes, and is fascinated with all the different heroes, villains, and crossovers there are. Mostly Skye is familiar with the Marvel universe, but know the more common DC superheroes such as Batman and Green Lantern. Here are some questions Skye has decided to answer for some insight into his views on superheroes.

Marvel or DC?

Hnngh, how am I supposed to answer? Well, I do read more Marvel comics than DC comics, but DC does have Batman... Then again, Marvel has Iron Man and Ant-man and Thor and Hulk and the X-Men and the Fantastic Four and Ms. Marvel and Wasp and Hawkeye and Black Widow and.. You get the idea. Marvel.

Are the Avengers truly Earth's Mightiest Heroes?

Well, for starters, they do have the Hulk. He is pretty mighty. And if you factor in the individual strengths of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Ant-man, Wasp and Hawkeye, they are possibly the mightiest heroes. Although, the X-Men are pretty mighty too, and they don't need armor or Pym Particles or anything, they possess the abilities inside them, as they are mutants. Except they don't have the Hulk, so... I do think the Avengers hold that title of Earth's Mightiest heroes.

Multi-verses/Crossovers: Pro or Con?

Pfft, obviously con! Certain universes are created that way, with specific characters and laws of physics and stuff, and they should remain that way! Although, if certain superhero teams are created within a single universe, they may certainly team up, but universes should remain separate, otherwise there's no purpose of universes, if they're being mixed with other ones every other week.

Would you rather be a Mutant, but be an outcast, or a normal JBD with no powers, but be well-liked?

I would definitely be a mutant! Why would I not? I would have powers and be an X-Men and meet all the other X-Men and save the world and it would be amazing! Of course, being a normal JBD is fine too, but I would much rather prefer to be a mutant. Of course, that's not going to happen, but I can dream!

Favorite superhero movie?

Mm, Iron Man. The first one. It sets up the entire Marvel film universe. Iron Man is rather important in the whole universe, and is one of the more iconic superheroes, so I have no doubt about my choice.

Least favorite superhero movie?

The Avengers. Where were Ant-man and Wasp? Last time I checked, they were fairly important. First of all, Wasp named the team. And they were both founding members of the team! I am just, just... Irritated! If you're going to make a movie, make it proper, especially if it's a movie made about comic books! You follow the plot line and you make everything according to the comic universe and you... you... You just take it from a comic and put it into film format!

Favorite superhero in general?

Um... Captain America. He was, after all, the First Avenger, or so the movie title says. Besides, he slept for 70 whole years (well, not slept, but you know)! He missed out on so much and just woke up and it was 70 years later, and then after all that he goes and becomes a part of the Avengers. He's awesome!

Least favorite superhero?

I don't really know... I like them all, in different ways. You know, like you can't just name your least-favorite child, or pet, or family member. Well, some can, but I can't. They all have their strengths and weaknesses, but they're all pretty good.

"I like Skye, he's a good friend. Now, if I had to choose between taking Skye with me on a deserted island, or taking pie, I would choose the pie. I mean, quite frankly, pie is the better thing to bring with me. I mean, it would give me some food, and I would only need to find stuff for one bean, not two. It's obvious! Although, if I could bring both, I would. Skye is probably one of my best friends, considering me and Scarfire often go and play with him. We don't really share lots of the same interests, but everyone's different and we often have interesting talks. It's very fun, because we learn different things we might not have known before. Although, sometimes he does get annoying because he's quite stubborn and won't change his opinions. Over all, Skye is one of my best friends, and we love to play together. We sometimes pretend we're clouds, floating around! Except we roll. It's fun, and it's one of the things we really like doing together. It's great!"

"Skye is an alright bean. He's quite special in his own way, and I appreciate that - but he's always not the most preferable bean to hang around with me. He makes an excellent source of comany, though, when nobody seems to want to hang around with me. "I find Skye awful fun to hang around with, no matter the situation, really. He's a great companion for having Nerf Gun wars, and it's incredibly fun to play that with him and other players, too! He's somewhat stubborn that way, but it makes the game all the more fun nevertheless."

Skye is a wonderful Aquarius, the sign he attains from being born on January 31st, 2009. The Aquarius symbol is the Water Bearer, and it's element is air. Technically, Skye does rule Uranus, a planet name he often laughs at, for obvious reasons. His quality is being fixed. His birthstone is Amethyst, his birthflower is the pretty carnation, and his actual birthday is January 31st, 2009, 10:03 PM. He was born at the wonderful Family Farm. It is said his life pursuit is to understand life's mysteries, and his vibration is one of high frequency. The so-called secret desire of the Aquarius is to be unique and original, but I'm not sure this is what Skye wants. His Chinese zodiac is the cow. However, Skye doesn't really follow any of these rules. He is, after all, a unique individual, unable to be defined by his date of birth.

Skye ;; I like my family. They're fun! It's really big too, which I find is wonderful, because I have lots of beans to play with and visit with, and it gets pretty crazy at family reunions!

Minter is great, and I love her. After all, she is my mother. But she's really nice to me and she loves me, and she treats me very special, probably because I am (currently) her only child. Although, I hope she'll still love me when I have younger brothers and sisters! She probably will, because I am pretty nice to be around.

Frux is wonderful, and he always takes me around the farm, and teaches me to help out! I'm not always the best at helping around the farm, but Frux is very nice about it and encourages me to keep doing my best, even when I try to give up. He loves me, and always takes a genuine interest in my life, especially my school work, because he wants to make sure I become a big and smart adult bean!

Topaz is my uncle, and I think it's really cool to have him in my family! He has four children, my cousins, so there's always somebody to play with. Or I play with Topaz himself, because he's very fun to play with and he always sets up fun little mysteries, and helps me solve them! I love hanging out with him, and sometimes he tries to teach me to read, which helps me in school.

Freya is the best! She's always dancing and singing along to 80's music, and I like it, because it's kinda upbeat and happy, and she always finds and gives me 80's CDs for my birthday, or Christmas, or when I go trick-or-treating, Halloween! I love her, and she's always happy to have me around.

Piper... well, I don't really see her much. She's an adult bean, so she's mostly off on her own, or talking with her siblings or other adult beans, and she doesn't really take an interest in all the 'little kid' stuff I do, although I know she loves me and when I get older she might take an interest in the stuff I do.

Tilly is wonderful, although she's pretty shy. She does kind of socialize with her family, but sometimes she avoids me because she's never gotten to know me that well. I feel that if she noticed me and my slight shyness, she'd get along with me and we'd be not only cousins, but great friends!

Colby is my wonderful big cousin, and he's closer to my age than Piper and Tilly, but him and April are still plenty older than me. He loves fun, like me, and is very fun to hang around! He always tries to convince me to do fun but dangerous things, and sometimes I do! I hardly ever get hurt, although I got the scar on my left ear from his idea of juggling scissors while skateboarding. It was fun, but it hurt. A lot. But know mother and father say that I know to be more careful, and Colby is more careful now, too. Well, with me at least. I know he loves family and never wants to see any family get hurt.

April is loud. And she usually gets what she wants. I wish I could do that, and April is trying to teach me how to get my way whenever I want it. She always sticks up for me, and that makes her my favorite cousin. She always takes an interest in whatever I am doing, although sometimes she disturbs me by being so loud. She's fairly cheerful, and I compare her to a bubble bath, she's that bubbly! She sometimes gets shy when other beans become all love-y dove-y with her. I love her, and I'd do anything for her, like she would for me.

The Hunt

Skye woke up to the sound of his alarm clock, blaring at a very loud volume. He shut it off happily, running down the hallway towards the kitchen, where he heard the chop-chop-chop of Minter and Frux preparing a wonderful fruit salad for the family. But, to his surprise - there were many other people there. April came hurdling towards him, enveloping him into a large hug. Tilly, Topaz, Piper, Freya, and Colby were there too - gathered around the table, eating whatever they had in their hands. "'Morning, Skye!" April said, cheerfully.
"H-hi, April! What is everyone doing here..?" Skye asked, curiously wandering over to Minter and Frux.
"It's Easter, silly!" Minter said, smiling. "We decided to invite you all here for a scavenger hunt. We'll divide you up into teams of two each, since the adults won't be playing," she finished.
"Can I be on April's team?" Skye asked, jumping up and down. April nodded her head, beaming.
"I'll be on Tilly's team," Colby said, nodding.
"I guess I'll be on Colby's, too," she said. Frux nodded, handing out two lists to each team.
"Whoever gets back first with the eggs needed wins a prize," Topaz said, Freya by his side. Frux smiled, clasping his hands together and yelling - "go!"
And so, they were off.

Accessories



A green scarf like Minter's, as Skye loves her scarf and wanted one of his own. He wears it all the time, and it's one of his most precious things ever.



A white toque with a blue pompom! It does say 'Sky's the Limit' on it, but it's not visible, as the font is rather small. He doesn't wear it all the time, but he does wear it when it's chilly out.

Sculptures



I decided to sculpt two sculptures for this contest; Skye, and his pygmy goat companion, Pixie. I tried mixing Skye's blue, but didn't have enough time to get his other colors mixed and painted. I broke Pixie's clay legs off after my cats knocked her off my desk, but I glued them on, I just didn't have the time to paint her.

I, Scarfire839, hereby pledge to forever honor and love Skye, if I do win, to doodle him in math class every day I have math, to be active with him, to keep him well-known in the community, to never forget him, and if one day I ever, for some reason, leave CS, to take him with me and still be active with him, just not on CS, but in real life.
