Why the name you chose? Well, I thought something Japanese would suit her. Also the name can mean 夏 (natsu) meaning "summer" and 希 (ki) meaning "hope". I thought that this was cute and that it suited her and her colour palette well, along with her personality.

Backstory:

In her younger years, actually months, Suki grew up as a single foal with her mother. It was just the both of them, she had no father in her childhood. Natsuki grew up not having to speak much as it was just her and her mother. She often had to entertain herself in the small clearing near the top of the mountain. Her mother rarely spoke yet she was still a happy mare, quite like Suki. Natsuki loved her mother but she left her mother rather young around the yearling age to find a herd, on her own. Her mother had eventually given in after much hesitation.
Although it took quite a few months of surviving on her own she finally found a herd, considering the amount of time she had spent on her own and not having to speak, she still didn't speak that much. The herd that took her in was kind, they took her in at a young age. Suki was taken in by a young mare who looked after her and always spoke of how unique she was.
Natsuki was happy, where ever she went there would be stares, and she wouldn't mind, she didn't care in fact whether they were good or bad, as it was a mix of both.
Still the yearling she was, Suki went off to foals around her age to play. They were all very sweet, but one colt began getting jealous. He didn't like her colours and the attention she got for them, so one evening he approached her alone and began insulting her. "Ugh are you still here?" Suki only stared at him up from where she was once grazing, "Just look at you, trying to fit in." Suki took notice of this statement "Excuse me?" She had asked sweetly, a little taken aback, "You don't belong here mare! Look around, you're different," Suki smiled at this, "Is that not good? To be a little different?" "No! Not if ... you're a danger to the herd.." The colt was mischievous in his ways, he wanted rid of her, to never come back, and he would gladly lie his way out of it. "..Huh?" Suki did not understand, "Your colours are a danger. Look at them, they aren't the same, They are infectious, if one of the herd here catches your...disease, they will die.. " Suki was ever so bewildered, "W-what? But its not possible...They are just markings.." "No! They are sickness, now you must leave now, quickly before one of the herd members get sick! You wouldn't want that now would you..." The colt held back a mischievous evil grin. "Of course not but...""No, No but's! You must leave, you can never be in a herd, you aren't the same, you are just trouble." Thee colt turned around and flicked Natsuki with his tail, "None of the others would say it, so I took it upon myself, now, Natsuki was it? Oh who cares, nobody will need to know that, since you can never be a part of any herd, you're just an outcast." With this statement he left and hid and watched her making sure she left.
Natsuki was so overcome with sadness , she was so gullible as a yearling. After the verbal beating she had gotten, she quickly galloped away and swore that she would never harm anybody and refuse to join anyone. She didn't like the though of being alone, 'Why not? I've been alone most of my life,'
Even after this, Natsuki refused to be unhappy, and stayed cheerful, running off this kept her sane, no she would keep that side hidden. though , aside from all, she was happy.

Why did you pick that song?
I thought it suit her personality very well. Not only that but it's a little like her backstory too. Its a nice song talking about the different sides of people and Natsuki seems to have seen it all and has a little dark side herself. All in all, it really suits her I believe.

Why the name you chose? It is the Latinate version of Eve, which means "life" or "living one". The meaning fit the Eva in my mind very well. Eve is also the name of the female robot in Wall-E ( I always thought her name was Eva until I rewatched it recently) Eva reminds me of the Eve from this story so I thought it was the perfect fit, they both communicate and express without words.
Personality: Expressive, Vibrant, Radiant, Alive
Backstory: Eva is deaf, and almost completely mute due to it. This is the first thing you should know about her and the main reason behind her nomadic ways. When younger her herd never strayed from the valley, she felt the same earth and saw the same sights everyday. She was coddled and kept trapped within the barrier that was her family. Because she was different, because they knew that since she couldn't hear she wouldn't be able to tell when danger was around.
Eva grew older and wilder, she had a burning energy inside of her. A life force that couldn't be contained. The mare had never been a fool and had always been intelligent. She had been born into a world of silence, she she learned to cope with it. She could smell danger farther then her herd could see. Feel the earth speak to her through her hooves, as if it was another living creature. Eva taught herself within the valley to survive, to read the world around her with her sight, smell and touch. There was no dramatic battle; no fight or trauma on how she left her herd. One day, when she was fully grown, she just left. No one could stop an adult, even though they tried to reason with her. She headed up the mountains and never looked back. Living the same world for years has made her ache for more. More smells and sights; to learn the world like no Equid before her has. So she never stays in one place long, just long enough to understand the heartbeat of life there and then she moves on.

Why did you pick that song? Since Eva cannot hear, she listens to music through vibrations in the air. This song is beautiful, up beat and matches her free spirit and loving life personality.
