ＹＯＵ ＴＨＩＮＫ ＹＯＵ ＫＮＯＷ ＭＥ？




I chose the name Guava. The name has a tropical ring to it, and I think it fits this handsome boy!





I chose the name Guava because he simply reminds me of the tropical fruit itself as it progresses through it's stages of ripeness. It starts out green, but can turn orangey red, stay green or yellow as it matures.

Guava fruit, usually 4 to 12 centimetres (1.6 to 4.7 in) long, are round or oval depending on the species. The outer skin may be rough, often with a bitter taste, or soft and sweet. Varying between species, the skin can be any thickness, is usually green before maturity, but becomes yellow, maroon, or green when ripe.
Guava fruit generally have a pronounced and typical fragrance, similar to lemon rind but less sharp. Guava pulp may be sweet or sour, tasting something between pear and strawberry, off-white ("white" guavas) to deep pink ("red" guavas), with the seeds in the central pulp of variable number and hardness, depending on species.

Guava is currently 21 years old. He's still quite young.





Guava is male. The colors and mask just seemed to strike me as a male lovebird. I can't see him as anything else!

Although guava is his all time favorite food, he loves mangoes and bell peppers as well.


"Wear this proudly." the soothing voice of Guava's father whispered in his ear. Guava, his eyes tightly shut upon request, tingled as he felt a soft weight covering the front portion of his face. "Can I open 'em?" the four year old Jellybean Dragon asked, tail flicking excitedly behind him. "Now you can." he opened his eyes to see the grinning face of his father. He trundled clumsily to a mirror and his eyes widened. The mask was beautiful, it's feathers long and vibrantly coloured. A smile spread across his face, seemingly too big for the petite visage the young bean possessed. "Wow!" he breathed, sitting back on his haunches to feel the mask with a delicate paw. The mask was made from bone, he decided, it was sturdy and smelled faintly of earth. "Where'd you find this?" he asked his father, who shook his head. "That's a secret. But, you can keep a secret, can't you?" Guava's head bobbed jauntily in a nod, and his father's face produced a taunting, playful expression. "We made it. For you." he said proudly. "Wear it with your head held high. Remember that, although you are now, never hide your true self. When you meet a special someone...only then can you take it off and show her your true colors." To this day, Guava has never removed this mask...

Guava adores...well, mango-guava cheesecake! It's a guava cake, with mango mousse, garnished with roasted almonds and cinnamon.

~What she dreams of being;
Colour dreams of being a well-known, yet not actually famous, writer/poet. Her poems are always secret though, and she never shares them with anyone. I bet they would be awesome poems, but she thinks i'll hate them or something...

~Height/Size;
She is about the size of a Great Dane, so she isn't as tall as some others.
"Yep, I'm a shorty."

~Why she wears her mask;
Color got the mask before she was even born. It stayed near her, and when she hatched, she was always playing with it. Later when she got old enough, she placed it upon her head and kept it there, rarely to take it on. She says it protects her from the outside world, so she can have her own imagination inside the skull dome. Not sure what exactly that means though.

~Any special clothes she wears besides her mask?;
Actually yes. Sometimes she will were a soft, light red and sky blue colored sweated. Colour doesn't wear it very often, and even when I tell her she looks pretty in it, she still refuses to wear it for me.
"You better not make me wear it just because you mentioned this..."

"Hi, I'm Colour. I was born June 4th, the day the Earth is closest to the sun. I am sweet, but have been raised in the wrong 'manner'. I was raised as though I was royalty, and that saddens me. I may sound like some snob, but I refuse to sound like a princess either, although that's how i'm usually treated. I am mis-understood. Everyone sees me as a beautiful bean who wants to always stay clean and never get dirty. Definitely not. I am a ranger, leaving muddy tracks where I go and making them stay. You want to see me with royalty? That's how you already see me. So please, stop treating me like i'm someone i'm not. I'm not your queen, i'm not your fair lady, and i'm definitely not meant for this. So... okay i'm done writing. Get someone else who thinks they know me to finish it."

Colour was born June 4th, the day Earth is closest to the sun. She was named after her vibrant colors, but was given the more 'fancy' name. At first, she was treated normally, but after her parents were unable to have another bean, they began treating her like she was special. She was irritated by the change, but had to deal with it as she was too young.

As she began to grow however, she began to revolt against what her parents said. And even as they were angered by this, they continued to treat her the way she had been treated. Whatever her parents told her to do, she ignored. They began to get angry with her, but gave her one last chance and gave her a gift on her 13th birthday.
A mask.

After she was given the mask, she seemed to be nicer to her parents. And because of this, they began treating her like she was normal again. Of course, this was her own illusion, and she made a plan to run away as soon as they started treating her badly again. Colour thought it wouldn't be long before they started treating her as before, but that she was incorrect with. It wasn't until she was 15 that they decided to treat her like she 'should' be treated. The day after that, she mysteriously disappeared.

Colour's parents were saddened by this, and when Colour became an adult, she traveled back to her old home, to find that her parents also mysteriously vanished. She also became sad, as they had given her the beautiful mask she wore on her face, but she decided that they had done too much for her to forgive. But because she loved the mask so much, she decided she would wear it unless it was truly necessary of her to take it off.
